Avoid don't stay.

Hotel was clean

Staff specially receptionist was bad. They asked to pay them in USD and gave the change in local currency in a very bad rate with a very bad behaviour. I dont recommend you to stay with them.

Highly recommended

The kindness, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff were amazing and much appreciated. Especially Betty was a real gem with a big heart and open mind❤️ . Thank you so much, Betty, for making me feel so welcome at the hotel. I hope your boss is aware of your infinite professionalism. But also the other staff including doormen and cleaning staff were great and always friendly and helpful. My room was cleaned daily and quiet as requested beforehand. Furniture was new and clean. Very comfy bed. Water and tea on the room every day. Breakfast was varied and tasty with fresh juices, coffee and tea. Eggs can be requested at no extra charge. As I was there at Christmas, guests were invited to coffee ceremonies in the lobby, which was nice. Airport shuttle for my departure worked well and was on time. I always felt very safe at the hotel. The cost/performance ratio was excellent and if ever in Addis again I would return to this hotel for sure.

Food smell in my room. A kitchen hood would be a good investment.

This is a great hotel for the price, the restaurant and the wifi are great facilities

Breakfast was always good quality and varied, and the buffet was great value for money.

There's only one elevator, so it can take a long time to get up and down while a lot of people are using it, and it doesn't work when the power is out.

Very good

Clean and well-furnished room. It has a desk, which is very convenient if you need to work. Wi-Fi works really well. The buffet breakfast is good. The staff is responsive and helpful.

The area is a bit noisy during the day, but quite silent at night.

Great value for money!

Rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is nice and staff are very welcoming. The hotel is central but in a busy location which means a bit of noise from the shops outside. Great value for money though!

A decent choice in this area

Rooms are well equiped with sufficient space even for "standard rooms", nice breakfast, friendly staff, and hotel with security guards round the clock.

Rooms are quite noisy on the street side (East), and the curtains struggle to hide the morning light. Only 2 times hot water over 12 nights; normally barely warm : quite unpleasant to shower in the morning ! Good internal Wifi connection everywhere, but totally insufficient speed, posing big problems for work. Bear in mind that reservations made with Booking.com must be paid in dollars as they do not accept the local currency ETB.

My stay was excellent. I highly recommend New Day Hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Addis.

The break fast is rich; there is a lot good foods (potatoes, salad, rice, Ethiopian food, etc.) and juices (papaya, water melon, etc.). You can have tea, coffee or milk if you want. There is honey, too.

I liked every single thing. Very good services. Regarding the restaurant, the chiefs are so cool. If you need a particular food, you just explain them, and they will prepare it for you. Room services are excellent. Staying there was like being at home for me. Lovely people.

disappointed by the junior suite

the staff is adorable, very caring and professional. the view of the room is exceptional ! especially to watch the parade of TIMKAT. the location is perfect for shopping and restaurant. not far from the airport also.

it's been several times I stayed there and I was always satisfied before but this time was a different story. I choose the junior suite and the room had many problems. one window was broken, the door of the bathroom was also broken and my mom was locked inside because it cannot be open from the inside. the safe has no battery and I had to wait the maintenance a long time so I was late to my meeting. I could not do my laundry the 1st day because of a water problem. the kettle was not working. 2 hangers only in the wardrobe, only one towel every day when we were 2 adults and a baby. I had to ask every day for 2 more towels. the room is very hot in the day and no AC. I was very disappointed because this room does not worth the price and the name "suites".

When I return to Addis Ababa, I plan to stay at New Day even longer. Highly recommend!!

This was my second time staying at New Day Hotel, so I wasn't expecting anything less. It's located in the Hayahullet area with several options for shopping. Additionally, very great WiFi connection! (By the way, I love the sound from the elevator when it reaches the floor).

No complaints! I did have issues with my key card not working and that's why I used the manual key to enter my room. But even that wasn't a big deal.

good value for money!

staff at this hotel are extremely helpful. I stayed here for 3nights and the staff called for a taxi every time I wanted to go out. if I ever return to Addis again, I’ll definitely book this place! good value for money!

the food is served very late. breakfast has good options but food delivered to the room was a bit delayed but I dint care too much

Superb

The service at the hotel was exceptional. The Hotel Manager, Biruk, went out of his way to ensure I could book taxis on an app, provided suggestions on places to see in the city and basically asked how my conference was going every single day. This was my first time in Addis and I felt at home because of such a wonderful service from the hotel.

It was nice place to stay

Room is spacious, clean and comfy , the location is great ( it is almost near every thing) thought not at Bole Ayahulet is 7_10 mins driving to airport, free airport shuttle from and to airport ( when we arrived at bole airport an official from tourisim dept called the hotel and they send car within 7 mins) , staff are freindly and helpfull
