I like the closeness to the ocean and the boardwalk. I liked the cleaning of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff.
I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer in this beautiful hotel.

Like the coffee shop very much, nice to have it in house. The restaurant was very good as well and the live music a real plus!
The rooms are a little tight, hard to walk on the side of the bed

Rooms were beautiful. Bed was amazing. Hotel is super clean. Pool area is beautiful. Upstairs bar on a nice night would be lovely.
Small selection for breakfast, limited options for kids.

The reception, management and support team are lovely people. After being abandoned by a popular bnb platform we found ourselves with nowhere to stay. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly, helpful and caring front desk and manager who went out of their way to help us feel at home.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
I really wanted to stay longer but they were fully booked and couldn't find us a bigger room to accommodate my granddaughter.
The view could have been better. Make sure you get a room with a view.

Was headed to Rockaway area for a one night stay to attend a banquet. Quick, easy access to the area from JFK. Arrived to find a neat place tucked into a neighborhood with restaurants and deli's around. Room was very clean and modern with very comfortable bed. I had room 302 which was a bunk bed room. I was pleasantly surprised. The only negative was not having a restaurant that was open early (They open at 8:00). I will definitely stay again.

Loved the pool area and rooftop. Rooms nice.
Internet was patchy.

Loved the facilities and staff
The noise was ridiculous. I barely slept on the first night from a party to late on Friday and set up of the roof terrace early on Saturday morning. Plus I never managed a drink as a guest at the roof bar as it hosted private events every evening.

Very modern. Nice lobby. Clean rooms.
There was an extra charge as resort fee not mentioned before booking. It includes welcoming drink, bike, towel. They deducted it before arrival. When I got to hotel I wasn't offered anything!!
Room is small for the price. No coffee machine. The two bottles of water are not complimentary each costs $10. The security deposit was over priced for the size of the room per night. The location is 30+ mins away from JFK.

Location was great- super close to the beach. Room was clean and well decorated. Despite looking very hip and artsy, the hotel was very family friendly and we loved spending time in the pool.
Everything was great except for the fact that there were two concerts on site during our stay that kept our toddler up. We also wished our room had a fridge.

Fantastic stylish hotel.
It was further from the airport and NY than we realised- we only discovered ferry service to NY later

Pool with DJ, service was wonderful, beautiful decor, valet parking
Rooms were tinyyy, not too many breakfast options
5.0
The rooms were clean and well isolated from the noise.
Very overpriced. Nosey in the common areas and restaurant and very crowded because they allow people to buy day passes. Inconsistent service and the quality was below expectation. Services were not working right, we wanted to eat in one of the restaurants and it was closed abruptly.
Would not return.

New and clean hostel with nice decorations. Great connection to Manhattan with the ferry. 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice restaurants. Great bagels shop around the corner to pick up breakfast or other food.
Rooms were small but we knew that. The pool is open for locals which can be an issue at warm days or weekend days. We were lucky to have a place because we got to the pool in the end of the afternoon. Housekeeping could be better (not enough towels, bathrobes, toilet paper) but upon request everything was arranged.
We parked our car in front of the hotel but unfortunately we got a fine because we parked next to a fire pole. We mentioned that we parked in front of the hotel but were not informed by the staff that we were not allowed to park next to the fire pole.

The Rockaway Hotel is beautiful and has everything you need for a resort vacation. The Spa is exceptional! We were able to sneak in a last minute massage. We had dinner at Margie’s and the lobster tagliatelle was fantastic too!
About half of the umbrellas at the pool were broken so they didn’t have enough for everyone who wanted one. The day we’re were there we baked in the sun and almost had to leave. Thankfully another family left and we were able to have one for the afternoon. It might also be a good idea to have chairs and umbrellas at the beach. I’m not sure if that’s possible since it’s a public beach. It’s something to look into. If I were to change something about the rooms, I would invest in better mattresses. They were a little soft.

Honestly? What really makes this place or the people who work at the hotel they are fantastic. It’s very inspiring to see people work so hard and be so committed and really love what they do. Property location could not be any better, and I would make the argument that they have one of the BEST pools. Service is impeccable at a time when everybody is struggling.
I would argue that the rooms could use mini bars or small refrigerators it would, especially what, with them being eco-conscious cause for less orders of room service, and reduce waste in that way. The air conditioner could barely keep up with what was an oppressive summer heat but I would argue that’s going to be a problem in the future they might want to look into a better HVAC unit. The sliding doors should have screens on them, this way, when the weather cools down, or when it is desirable a person could in fact, sleep with their screen door open and not have to run the AC at all! I think that the cocktail program could use a bit of an overhaul. It’s very SAFE and very “country club” and this is a fun hotel!!! They’ve got bands and entertainment, and all sorts of great stuff. I do not feel that the cocktail program is reflective of the vibe. There should be some swizzles or a frozen cocktail, interesting interpretations of tropical and tiki beverages. The margarita at the hotel is really great but why stop at just a basic margarita?? I think if the cocktail program did a massive overhaul, they could compete with every single watering hole in the area for the View alone and of course, for the entertainment.

Staff were friendly. Great facilities. Bar and cafe area were really good. There were lots of external areas, roof top var, pool bar etc. Pool was fabulous. Onside Spa. Loved the decor everywhere. Short walk to the beach. Felt safe and secure.
Nothing negative to comment on.

The food, the place
Room was too small and no closet, expensive

I like the venue for the party and the view. Staff was nice and pleasant.
The room, though I expected it to be small, was even smaller than expected. The cost for this size room was unreasonable. I wouldn’t spend that kind of money to stay there again, for that reason.

Beautiful hotel and the staff were exceptional.
Nothing was a problem , literally going above and beyond. Leah and Alina in particular.
Immaculately clean. The rooms were stunning. I had a beautiful view, the sea, manhattan skyline and sunset just from one room.
I would definitely stay here again, without a doubt.
Considering the price, breakfast was not included.
Nothing else really to dislike.

There were no hand towels in the bathroom. No drawers or closets. No coffeemaker. 2 of the lightbulbs were dead. Overhead light which we had to use because of the dead lightbulbs. much too bright. No iron. Pretty place but overall the small amenities were not there. I’ve really never seen such a bare bones hotel room.

There is an attached independent coffee shop opens at 7:00 am.. It is very nice but only venue available for breakfast.
Room was very tight, only storage for clothes was a under the bed drawer. There's 3 pegs on the wall for hanging clothes. The king bed leaves very little room for anything else. There is no desk. Bathroom is nice.
