Great house in a great location
We enjoyed our stay so much and plan to return! Clean, location was great and rooms are great for a big family get away.

Good location but needs some maintenance
We were happy with short walk lake access, plenty of room & bathrooms, nice porch setup but have to say there were a few significant drawbacks. Large section of house had siding missing and appeared to be long under construction which was unexpected and a bad first impression. There was a smell in the house when we first arrived which was a quick second strike. The smell turned out to be a leaky gas line to the dryer so we stopped using it. There was also a leaky skylight that was dripping on one of the beds. Minor but annoying there was a dartboard pictured in the listing photos but not to be found. These shortcomings are why I dropped my rating to just 4 stars / good instead of 5 stars / great. We still had a nice time and accommodations were ok but with some extra care it could have been better.

Great pet friendly house near the lake
"Finally Settled" is a very well equipped house near Deep Creek. There is a community dock that you can use to launch kayaks and paddle boards (and you can store your kayaks and paddle boards on the grass). And the water is a short walk from the house. The kitchen is very well equipped for a rental property. The house was nice for our family vacation (3 generations, 11 people, 1 dog). Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. There are 3 air conditioners (bedroom above the garage, bedroom on the '2nd floor' and bedroom on first floor off the kitchen. We were ok with that, the house was relatively cool, even in August. There are a number of ceiling fans. We really enjoyed the deck, and there is a gas grill that is hard piped to the house, so you don't have to worry about running out of gas.

Under construction
Really liked the indoor and outdoor spaces. Deck, hot tub and fire pit are all primate for how close the neighbors. Looks like some construction is being done too fix water issues. Large amout of siding, roof and deck are missing from the garage side of the property. Also they is no lake visibility unless possibly on the fall when all the leaves are down. Location was good and nice to have dock access, even though you are in another houses back yard.

Family gathering in the time of Covid 19
We had a great time in Finally Settled at deep creek lake Oct 28 - Nov 1 in 2020. House was very large and very clean with 4 separate bedrooms and private bathrooms. Nice size rooms with queen size beds - Perfect for our family of 3 grown sons and spouse/family. Each bedroom/bathroom combo on separate floor or wing of house. Baby cribs available in 2 areas. Lots of good indoor space for people to spread out and great deck and patio and hot tub outside also. Kitchen/dining area was very large, perfect for cooking and hanging out. Plenty of seating with long dining table and a kitchen eating bar. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils and glassware, and a variety of small appliances like a ninja blender, hand mixer, coffee maker. Some baking spices available. We brought all supplies for our meals and snacks. Gas grill is available and works well. Outdoor fire pit also available for cool nights and making s’mores. Local store Arrowhead market has good variety of grocery items and fresh meat and produce. Also carries liquor, bakery, firewood. Very handy - less than 2 miles away.
Our weather was rainy on 2 days so we had lots of board games available in the house and video streaming services like netflix. Amazon fire stick is available on some TVs so we could stream some services. Large common tv/game room downstairs along with a wet bar. Plenty of comfortable seating for all of us. Watched a scary movie for Halloween!
Deep creek state park is a about 10 minutes away. Went for a 7 mile hike. Beautiful area and easy to medium hiking levels.
Used the hot tub every day. Generally will hold 4 people but because of Covid, each couple used it separately. Really great to have. Washer and dryer in the house if you need it.
House is about 100 yards from the lake and across from the public access area.
Would definitely recommend it for families and also couples/friends. Hope to return maybe during the summer.

Great getaway
The house was clean and well cared for. There was plenty of space for my kids to play with the basement game room. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the fire pit too! A quick drove to the lake. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Couples getaway
We had a great time at this location. We never left the property. Very spacious and plenty to do if want to just chill. Main flaw is the room on the upper level was very hot and they couldn’t get the window.

Fall trip to the Lake
This was a wonderful trip for our family. The porch is so pleasant, and gets great sun which keeps it warm even on crisp days. The bedrooms are very spread out in the house, which makes it not ideal for families with young children that want to be nearby - but not in the same room! One of the bedrooms has a security light right outside the window that emits a high pitched buzzing noise. Luckily for us, we didn't need to use all the bedrooms so we just relocated. We really enjoyed our time at Deep Creek - it's a great location to stay if you want to have some quiet and space.

A lovely escape in the woods
This home is very nice for large groups even though our group was small. We are used to a big home so it was nice that we had so many options for recreational spaces, sleeping spaces, etc... The hot tub was very clean as was the entire house which matters very much to us. I appreciate that the hot tub as a lock on it to avoid unwanted visitors using it. The bathrooms were all a very nice size and spotless. The house came supplied with so many unexpected amenities that were so helpful! There are ample towels, basic tolietries, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, three video game systems, so many games, movies, books, music, kitchen supplies, dog supplies, baby supplies, etc... However, you should bring your own sugar for coffee, can opener, and your own comforters for the beds (there are sheets) as we didn't see those things, but we didn't expect them to be provided anyway! We were so grateful for everything that was provided. Even though it's not a lakefront property, the lake is only a one minute walk down the long driveway and we found the neighbors to be very friendly allowing us to enter the lake from their yard even with our dog. There are cameras in the corners outside for security. The street was very quiet and nice to walk our dog every morning as was the big yard. It was so big we felt like we couldn't take advantage of all that it had to offer in our short stay! As it is listed, it does have partial A/C which is our only "negative" about the property which makes the main room gathering room very warm so we spent a lot of time on the deck rather than in the main livng space. Just one window A/C in the main room would make a world of difference. We would definitely stay again and encourage others to do so!

Very Pet Friendly
Finally Settled was overall a great place to stay with a well-stocked kitchen, great porch with gates to contain our dog, rustic setting and friendly neighbors at community dock. Very warm weather at the time of our stay and since only partial air conditioning, the one upstairs bedroom was too uncomfortable.

Only partial air conditioning & weather warm so 2nd floor BR too uncomfortable
Lovely place, well stocked kitchen, big TV, nice grill, good location, friendly neighbors at community dock.

Great place to stay
We loved the location! The house had all the comforts of home. The only issues that kept us from giving this a 5 star rating was the bathrooms had a unpleasant smell, but glade plug ins fixed that issue. The maintenance person said it is due to the minerals in the well water, but showers were not an issue. Also, we thought this had a water view but only a tiny glimpse of the lake through the trees. Also the only window air conditioner was in the bedroom window at the head of the bed which made sleeping a little tricky.

Pleasant stay, but . . .
Advertised as having air conditioning, doesn’t for main living area just bedrooms. Needs ceiling fan in the kitchen / dining area, at minimum.

This house doesn’t disappoint! It has everything!! Great for families.

Lovely home for family vacation.
House had everything you could possibly need, and beautifully decorated! Great layout & plenty of space for us all to spread out. Game room was perfect for the kids (lots of board games)! Hot tub was so relaxing. Room above garage with own bathroom was great for kids to use. All rooms had TVs which was nice too. We loved that all the cabinets in kitchen were labeled so we didn't have to search for anything. Dog bed located in kitchen closet was definitely a plus!
Just a helpful tip: All houses in the area have wooden compartments that hold 2 trash cans. This house has 2 trash cans, 1 is smaller than the other. Use the BIG one, NOT the smaller one. We found this out the hard way. 2 Black bears were in the area (seen by other neighbors) and that night they managed to pull the smaller trash can totally out of the compartment from the opening in the bottom. We had 2 very large bags of trash that were completely shredded & ransacked, trash was even taken into neighbors yard. We spent a long time trying to pick everything back up.

Spacious, secluded and beautiful
Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend in this beautiful home. The home had everything we needed and much more. Even our small dog had a good time stretching out. We were a little disappointed that the jets in the bathroom tubs weren’t working, but the hot tub outdoors made up for it. This is a lovely and comfortable home to stay in.
