- Chillax hut is now moved away into the hill, not cosy, too dark and the AC running too cold (before it had sea-view, was painted and lighted bright and included a refreshing drink after the massage, which you could endulge on the balcony with seaview)
- checkin-procedures were in our pov too hostel-like and too cool, which we found not suitable for this level of hotel

Beautiful location, unique rooms, wonderful staff and delicious breakfast, this hotel has it all! The staff could not help enough. The food was fab in the evening too. We had a meal in 2 other locations and didn’t like them as much as here. We had the garden rooms and bugs were not an issue that some reviews had suggested. We did the long tail boat trip as a family and it was a highlight- saw turtles in 2 locations, beautiful coral and the biggest shoals of fish imaginable. We used the free shuttle for a trip to Sariee beach too and it was seamless. We stayed 5 nights but I could have easily stayed a lot longer. You can get into the nearby cove easily too.

The staff was really welcoming and helpful, always available and smiling. We liked the pool area, the view from the property is stunning. Breakfast was pretty good, a lot of options.
The room wasn’t that nice, we were really disappointed. The aircon wasn’t working properly ; it took ages to start and refresh the room, so when you’re leaving the room, it’s tempting to let it, but the staff will be turn it off (which I understand, but it means you’re coming back in a really warm room). Then it was leaking… We call someone and he fixed it, but still not really resfreshing the room. My partner waked up every night because it was too warm. Second thing, the bathroom had really a bad smell. It wasn’t pleasant to stay inside, I needed to hurry up when I was getting ready.

Die Aussicht von unserem Zimmer war ein Traum!
Leider hat die Klimaanlage nur bedingt funktioniert und man hat nur eine Zimmerkarte, die aber auch den Strom reguliert, weswegen es sich im Zimmer sehr aufheitzt über Tag.
Sehr viele „wilde“ Tiere, da die Unterkunft abseits mitten in der Natur liegt.
Eigener Strand nicht so gepflegt.

Deuxième année pour nous au View Point, les chambres Sea View sont toujours aussi belles avec une vue sur la baie de Chalok qui est incroyable.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est délicieux et varié!
Le personnel est adorable et très serviable.
Le service général est au top 👌🏻 et le petit plus qui n’est vraiment pas négligeable, la navette qui vient vous chercher au port et vous y redépose gratuitement!
Nous reviendrons encore l’année prochaine!
Pour vraiment vraiment dire de trouver quelque chose, la pression de la douche pourrait être plus forte mais rien de bien grave!

la situation géographique de l'hôtel ainsi que sa configuration. les petits logements éparpillés en pleine nature sont un véritable atout. La vue mer est exceptionnelle. Le restaurant en bord de mer est très agréable. Le service restauration est bon et le petit déjeuner est complet. L'accueil est très bon et le service taxi fonctionne parfaitement pour les transferts et les courses à la demande.
La baignade à la plage à côté de l'hôtel est difficile à cause des coraux cassés (risque de coupures). Prévoyez des chaussures adaptées.

In pochi minuti si raggiungono spiagge molto belle e locali per cenare.
Anche il ristorante dell'hotel è molto buono ma con prezzi europei.
Un ringraziamento particolare alla ragazza della reception che ci ha trovato i biglietti per la speedboat salvando così il nostro viaggio di ritorno.

Mi è piaciuto tutto ma se devo trovare il pelo nell'uovo direi che il Bagno della camera è un po' piccolino e buio (ma la vista dalla terrazza compensa qualsiasi cosa)

Nous n avons pu passer qu une nuit dans un bungalow vue mer sur 4 (plus de dispo) : les 3 suivantes bungalow côté jardin : chambre beaucoup plus petite et surtout serviettes blanches usées et abattant de wc usé (trace d usure : il mériterait d être changé - pas acceptable pour un établissement de ce niveau)
Petit dej très bon : le meilleur !
Établissement pas adapté à des personnes âgées : le restaurant et la piscine sont en bas de la colline (escaliers ++)
Nécessité de réparer le pont qui menait il y a 1 mois à la plage voisine avec différents commerces à faire à pied car accès à présent difficile
Je recommande cependant cet hôtel mais amélioration pour le bungalow vue jardin !

Am meisten begeistert waren wir von unserem Zimmer, welches wunderschön im „Honeymoon-Stil“ dekoriert war !

Hotel afastado do centro, mais propicio para viagem a dois e relaxar. Acolhimento dos funcionarios, deram dicas de trilhas e praias. Disponibilidade de taxi do pier para hotel (de graça) e para centro (3 dias da semana de graça). Quarto confortavel, grande suficiente, cama confortavel, com tela anti-mosquitos. Cafe da manha com variedade de comida ocidental e local. Da para ir a pe para algumas praias proximas (desde 20min caminhada ate 1h). Por do sol lindissimo do hotel. Pisina borda infinita.
Eu gostei muito do hotel e da localizacao. Mas se a pessoa quer movimento e restaurantes proximos, aconselho a ficar mais proximo do centro.

The mosquitoes but nothing to do with the hotel. It’s okay with a product but we’ve been out our room during 20 min because the door’s pass wasn’t working, so it was the mosquitoe’s dinner.

It was already my third stay in the View Point Ressort and that’s the proof I in generally really like it.
The huts are nicely embedded in a fantastic nature.
Especially restaurant and pool staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is various, food is excellent. There is no really beach, but nice an shady chill area closed to the restaurant or a nice pool area.
As I couldn’t book the ferry online, they organised it for me. Transfer to the ferry is free of charge and we’ll organised
As this time I booked late and so I had to sleep in a different Poolvilla for each of 2nights.
Poolvilla no 6 was nice, full of light with a very nice chilly living area outside.
Poolvilla no 5 the sleeping room is not as light and big, the outside living area is not very comfortable and there is no shade during daytime.
As I decide to stay on night longer I booked a see view room as the price for the Poolvilla no 05 of 260€ was for my opinion far to much.
After my first night at poolvilla 05 I had obviously bedbug bits and showed them at the reception.
I asked them to organise a alternative sleeping possibility in the living room (Poolvillas have a sleeping room and a separat living room) as I didn’t wanted to stay again in the sleeping room
They were cooperative and organised two massage mats and put on this a kind of bed on the floor. This was quite fine for me!
And no new bites next morning! ☺️
So after the second night I asked at the reception if I could sleep the last night on the improvised bed once more instead of moving to another sleeping room as I was really afraid of new bedbugs experience 😳
The agent at the reception told me it’s no problem- I have to admit we didn’t talked about the price because for me it was clear they are happy to fix a bedbug problem as well.
Next morning when I checked out they asked me for a supplement of about 150€ for the night on the floor in the poolvilla.
They explained me that a special ‘bed bug maschine’ couldn’t found bed bugs in the sleeping room.
For me this was a bid like a ‘slap in the face’ as they gave me to understand that I’m imagine something which doesn’t exist.
It’s understandable that bedbugs are rather unpleasant for hotels, but unfortunately it was my second experience having them. Beside the risk you carry them home their bites are quite easy to identify (you don’t have anything in the evening and in the morning despite of a Moskito net you find the typical ‚streets’ or accumulations of bites).
Unfortunately I have a strong allergic reaction and the bites hurt and getting inflamed for about 2-3 days and they feel completely different from Moskito stitches!

Wir hatten eine Poolvilla , die sehr zu empfehlen sind. Jede anders, liebevoll im Detail.
Wer allerdings nicht gut zu Fuß ist, für den ist es nichts….viele Treppen bedingt durch die Topografie.Liegt am Hang.
Allerdings gibt es Kleinigkeiten, die man leicht beheben kann, wie eine lose oder tropfende Wasserarmatur und ein bisschen Farbe hier und da.

The property is picturesque, and the staff were pleasant. Buffet breakfast was good and there was a complimentary pick up/drop off at the ferry. As the bathroom is located outside the room (?) there was a lot of bugs/cockroaches- the latter of which maintenance actually removed for us and left us with bug spray…
It’s pretty isolated, which means you end up eating in the hotel most nights (unless you want to rent a motor bike and tackle the very steep hills out of/into the property, or pay per person for a taxi). The food is average although double if not triple the price of a normal restaurant. We stayed in a garden cottage which meant walking down the hill to the restaurant/pool and trekkkking back up with a full belly. It is not suitable for anyone with any sort of mobility issues at all. We found multiple pairs of old contact lenses around our room, despite neither of us wearing them… after travelling Thailand for a few weeks, this hotel was supposed to be our ‘treat’ being allegedly the most luxurious of our stays - however it was the first property we encountered that’s charged you for EVERYTHING. From snorkels and kayaks to the extortionate ‘per piece’ laundry costs. You also have to charge everything to your room, so you only get your final total to pay at check out. If you’re looking for a getaway, where you don’t leave the hotel.. this may be for you.

- Massage war schlecht
- Weg zur Chalok Bay (Tauchen, einkaufen, Restaurants, Bars, Cafés….) sehr restaurierungsbedürftig, bei Flut kaum eine Möglichkeit, fußläufig dorthin zu kommen.
Da das ViewPoint Ressort aber ansonsten nur mit Auto oder Motorroller (anspruchsvoll!) erreichbar ist, wäre es wünschenswert, wenn hier etwas investiert würde

Beautiful property set in the hills of Tao. We stayed in Pool villa 6 which was absolutely stunning. Lovely pool and views of the sea. Considering the property is set in the middle of Thailand jungle with a lot of wildlife, our villa was spotless and luckily didn’t have any close encounters with any bugs. The staff at Viewpoint were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
