Welcome to 'Kids and Grands'! Just one block to our gorgeous white beaches! This beautiful 2525 square foot, four bedroom home with community pool is nestled in the popular Crystal Beach Community, Clipper Cove, in Destin, Florida. A great place for a wonderful vacation with family and friends. Community allows 2 cars per unit.
Cool off in the community pool, located just a few houses down or stroll down to the beach and take a dip in the Gulf. Enjoy walking, jogging, skating and bicycling throughout the neighborhood with it's charming white picket fences and pastel cottage homes. Come home and relax on the covered porches and enjoy the beach breezes. Believe it or not... in the Summer, you can listen for the music of the ice cream truck! Just a three minute walk to rent bikes for the family, get a cup of fresh coffee, purchase a book at Barnes and Noble and eat a wonderful meal at Camille's Restaurant.
'Kids and Grandkids' is a fantastic, spacious home with four bedrooms and four baths. All new furnishings and updated bathrooms in 2014.
On the first floor, you will find a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and dining area with top of the line stainless steel appliances... a large open living area and flat screen television.
This spacious home has two beautiful master suites, both with king beds on the first floor.
The third bedroom has a queen bed.
On the second floor, you will find custom made built in bunk beds. The bottom bunk is a queen, top bunk is a twin. Both bunks have trundle beds.

We stayed with our adult children and their families. Beautiful location, walking distance to the beach, near the pool. The house worked out great for us. Neighborhood is very quiet, but close to shopping.

We enjoyed having a large home so our family could spread out. The house is located in a nice location and is an easy walk to the beach and just a few doors down from the pool. I reached out to the property manager and was responded to very quickly. We will definitely rent again.

The home was as advertised with a couple of bonuses like the chairs and umbrella on the beach and the ice maker in the kitchen! Our only complaint was the tv in the main living room. After three days it was finally fixed. Plenty of room to play family team games. I would suggest that guests rent a golf cart to haul them and all the beach items back and forth as we did. It was very clean and overall we would recommend this home for large family vacays!

The property was minutes of everything we wanted to do. For 10 adults, the property was very spacious. The booking process was simple to do from time of booking until checkout. Checking in was very simple as well. The neighborhood was quiet and welcoming.

This place was absolutely perfect for us. The house itself is very nice. The porch was great for mornings and evenings. We rented a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach but honestly was not needed but it was nice to haul all of our stuff. We rented bikes and that was definitely worth it. The kitchen has an ice maker which I don’t think was advertised and so that was a pleasant surprise. Top floor was a dream for all of our kids. We were worried about parking bc we drove a 15 passenger van and our friends were bringing a car but it was enough space that prob could have fit 2 vans. Again everything was perfect and as advertised.

This property was AMAZING! Love the open floor plan. The floorplan and decor made the unit bright and comfortable. The pictures don’t do it justice. The rental was very clean, great neighborhood, walking distance from the beach. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

No parking for house for 14 people, management was not helpful at all(rude) house wasn’t very clean, roaches in kitchen area, little trouble with water in kitchen, cold water knob broken in upstairs shower never came and fixed. A lot of trash in outside trash cans upon arrival we took to the road ourselves. Needs some upgrades and TLC in the home for what we paid to stay here. Plenty of room! Not worth what we paid

Perfect place.
We loved this house. It was perfect for us and our extended family. We had 6 adults and 6 kids and had plenty of space. The upstairs grandkid room was AWESOME. Our kids had a ball up there. The house was very clean and we really appreciated the ice machine. The neighborhood was precious. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommend renting a golf cart. It made our trip so much more fun and easier. There’s golf cart parking right on the beach entrance.

The property was located in a great neighborhood and near the beach, the rental house was perfect for me my family and friends. Any issues we had were quickly addressed by the maintenance staff.

Beautiful home and great, friendly neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Bring your own toilet paper and garbage bags tho…no extras there for the stay. Also, the code to access the pool was incorrect and the owner was unable to be contacted. Thanks to the friendly residents of the community, we were able to gain access and enjoy the pool. Overall, we are pleased with our stay and will return for future vacations

Clipper cove review
The home was absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious and was very equipped with everything that was needed. However, there were a few minor problems. The freezer had mold. There were some Roaches. It was some trash left from the previous guest that was very rotten. Other then these things. It was a very nice relaxing stay.

Love this home very nice only a few things as I would change the upstairs bathroom water surges when the downstairs goes off which could cause someone to really get scalded an the handles are broke there are alot of roaches but there dead sometimes but not always. An a golf cart would be nice but that's just my opinion other then that it was wonderful.

Family Vacation
We really enjoyed our stay at Kids and Grands . This is our fifth time to the Crystal Beach area, we choose a different location each time we come.I would definitely consider renting this property again. It was close proximity to the beach ( plenty of beach toys for the kids )and only a few houses down from the pool. The spacious layout of the home allowed us plenty of space without feeling like we were right on top of each other. The upstairs did get a little stuffy/warm at times but once we discovered a big fan in the closet the problem was resolved ....

We loved this house. It was big enough for all 9 of us and very close to the beach. The bunk room was a big hit with our 5 kids. We would definitely stay here again and again.

Loved the house! Way more room than you'd think. About three houses down and across the street from the pool. Four houses from the path that takes you to Crystal Beach road. One large block, maybe 1/4 mile from house to beach entrance. Community pool isn't huge, but clean, plenty of lounge chairs, and big enough for the small comminity. Beach cart, boogie boards, sand toys, and umbrellas provided. Ice machine in pantry is a great bonus! Driveway can fit three cars... It is a single driveway so lots of rearranging. Not a big deal. Everything in working order. Beds were all comfortable. Ample room in two of the three downstairs bedrooms for air mattress/pack n play. Kids room upstairs also has room for two to three air mattresses if needed. We would stay here again!

Great house for families
Great large open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room with large dining table and 8 chairs, plenty of bar stools, and lots of comfortable LR seating. Bedrooms have lots of room and are separated to give privacy instead of all being bunched along a hallway. The bunk room is great and accommodates 8 people, so best for kids or one family to sleep in same room. Bathrooms are really nice, upstairs has a tub. Biggest master suite is huge and has it's own AC/heat. Kitchen is stocked with cookware and serving ware - everything you need for cooking and eating in although it would be nice to have a few plastic cups/glasses for kids though. Washer and dryer are excellent. All beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows and covers. Flat screen TVs in every room with full cable; excellent wi-fi. We were disappointed that neither fireplace was functional; were told the one in the master bedroom was working but it wasn't. Pool wasn't heated either even though we were told it would be for the holidays, but property manager let us use the heated pool in the complex a few blocks away. Property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. Plenty of parking for 4-5 vehicles although all in straight line so there was a lot of vehicle shuffling. All in all we were very happy with accommodations and would stay there again, although not in cold weather because of the pool and fireplaces not being heated or working. Great place for warm weather though! Not too far to walk to beach and great location for restaurants and shopping.

Great Family Home!!!
We loved this property!! Traveled with Parents, Husband, Sibling and 5 children ages 4-15. The house has enough space for everyone to spread out and have their own privacy. We were there in November so the weather wasn’t warm enough to hang on the beach but we did go one day and it is about a 3 min walk . The pool is across the street. The house is equipped with everything you might need to cook... this is a great home and I highly recommend it!!!

Wonderful/Spacious House, Needs a Few Improvements
This house was beautiful and very spacious. It's easy to gather a large group together or get away for some "me" time. It's pretty close to the beach, but NOT just "one block away" as you advertised in the first sentence of the listing. Check the map! Most fit people could walk there easily, but some grandparents may need to drive. It's closer to a mile than a block.
The huge shower in one of the king size suites definitely needs "grab bars" for the grandparents. The floor is slippery and the walls have nothing to hold onto. Old people fall down sometimes! If you suggest this rental for "Grands" then all bathrooms should have grab bars.
Though the kitchen was well equipped in general, we thought the leasing agent was stingy about several things: We found only a couple of thin dish towels that were soon soaking wet, which meant we had to dry dishes with paper towels. How about a little cooking oil? A few more spoons? More than a tiny sliver of soap in each bathroom? More TP? Some clarification on how to use microwave (there were no numbers to set time, as far as we could tell) and the toaster oven instructions were too tiny to read. We just unplugged it after each use since otherwise, it kept clicking...
All in all, a great place. Just needs a few small improvements to make it perfect!
