Situated in a rural area, this welcoming vacation home brings all of Chambellay within your reach. Jump into your car and make short work of the 15-minute drive to National Harbor of the Lion of Angers or the 16-minute drive to Ursuline Convent (and enjoy the property's convenient onsite parking in the meantime).

Very suitable for large family celebration - grandparents, children and grandchildren. Good pool which was safely fenced in so that younger children could not get in when no adults were around. Enough seating indoors and outdoors for our party of 14. Helpful host.

We stayed for a week with extended family, 18 total with 10 kids and there was plenty of space and bed options for everyone. The kids enjoyed the space of the large dorm room up the tower with 8 beds. We played at the pool a lot and appreciated that it was closed off and heated for little kids.
There are some updates that could be made, in the bathrooms or kitchen, but everything functioned well and we had no problems. It's a charming place, so don't expect a lot of modern amenities. There was wifi and close to stores and small towns for anything needed.
We enjoyed a day in Angers as well as a day of horse racing at the next town over and visiting the market.
Overall we had a great time and the communication with the owners was great throughout.

Parfait!!
Nous avons séjourné à 21 amis au sein de cette propriété et il n’y a rien à redire. Le lieu est magnifique, de l’espace pour tous et chacun a eu son lit, confortable qui plus est.
La piscine en période de fortes chaleurs est un vrai plus et le mobilier extérieur mis à disposition permet la détente et le repos.
Nous avons trouvé un logement propre et très bien aménagé pour faire la cuisine à plusieurs - les trois barbecues sont à souligner!
Le lien avec notre hôte Wendy fut très agréable. Elle a su nous renseigner sur les commerces de proximité.
Nous recommandons ce lieu les yeux fermés, tout en espérant pouvoir nous aussi, y retourner!

Détente et convivialité
Un emplacement au calme, en pleine campagne. Un grand abri extérieur, une vaste salle de séjour pouvant chacun accueillir tout le monde. Une cuisine très agréable. Les nombreuses chambres et sanitaires ont permis à chacun de trouver facilement sa place. Nous avons passé un formidable week-end en famille.

Nous avons pue profiter de la piscine chauffée. Préau très agréable qui nous a permis de profiter de l’extérieur jusqu’à tard le soir.
Je recommande pour un groupe famille ou copain.

Superbe week-end entre amis!
Nous avons loué le gite pour un week-end automnale, nous avons passé un super week-end dans cette grande et belle maison. Vous pouvez vous fier aux photos qui sont conformes à la maison, c'est à dire pleine de charme, traditionnelle et rustique.
Pour être tout à fait honnête, nous avons eu un petit litige concernant la propreté de la maison à la fin du séjour mais Mr. De Charnacé a été arrangeant et compréhensif.
Je recommande vivement ce bel endroit!

Perfect to get away from it all!
We very much enjoyed a family holiday in this property ( actually 2 buildings). The house is very well equipped and the rooms are extremely spacious. There are were 4 bathrooms plus 2 downstairs toilets, so no worries there. The house is very old and therefore doesn't appear to be spotless as certain rooms, particulary bathrooms, need a little updating. However the house was very clean and no concerns really.
If you are wanting to get away for a peaceful holiday then the location is perfect. It is very isolated with just a herd of cows for neighbours - lovely. There are no shops or bars within walking distance, a car is essential, but there is a wonderful bakery just 5 km away in the next town and larger supermarkets are available within a 20 minute drive.
There is a large outdoor pool, we chose to opt for the heating to be on, which is perfect for relaxing around. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs are provided. There is also a French Pool table and table tennis available.
Our favourite aspect was the outdoor seating area. Adjoining the main house it is a covered area with large tables, lots of seats and two barbecues, perfect for large family meals. Extra tables also made it a great 'jigsaw' area!
It was easy to get to main roads and so days out are not a problem if you get fed up of relaxing!

Un superbe manoir angevin pour une cousinade réussie à la campagne !
Magnifiques bâtiments avec 8 vrais chambres, très au calme (sauf les vaches à côté!) une grande cuisine et une grande salle. Les équipements sont suffisants pour 20 pers et le supermarché n'est qu'à 9km. La relation avec l'hôte est excellente. La piscine est le point fort sur place. Petit regret, le billard, d'excellente qualité, n'autorise pas un recul suffisant pour jouer sur toute la table ! Merci encore à nos hôtes, attentifs à ce que tout se passe bien!

A characterful chateau with all you need for a relaxed stay
I had a lovely week here with my extended family (10 adults and 5 children). The children spent much of the time in the pool, playing table tennis and making up a play which they performed to us on the last day. We kayaked nearby, visited local markets and had a day out in Angers and a trip to Saumur. The children enjoyed the Hogwarts like dormitory at the top of the spiral staircase and my elderly parents managed the spiral staircase to the first floor and took command of the master bedroom, overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen was well appointed, there was enough space both inside and outside for us to all eat together, the beds were comfortable and there were enough bathrooms and toilets to avoid squabbles and queues.
Wendy is a lovely host. She showed us the ropes when we arrived, contacted me later in the day to tell me about local shops and Sunday opening times and responded quickly when I contacted her with one or two queries. Marc also popped over a couple of times, once to turn the temperature of the pool down as it was too warm for us and then a day or two later to check it was OK. Both visits were really unobtrusive.
This is a house in which to feel at home. It's comfortable, well organised and not so over fussed that you are constantly worrying you might damage something. It was sufficiently remote for us to sit outside and talk late into the night without worrying we might upset the neighbors, but close enough to local amenities and activities. Thank you Wendy and Marc. We had a wonderful time.

Un séjour à 19 qui s’est très bien déroulé.
Nous avons l’habitude de nous réunir une semaine en famille depuis 10 ans dans des vastes demeures, toujours sélectionnées sur Homelidays. Celle-ci est incontestablement une de nos meilleures locations.
Chambellay est un village charmant, le domaine est un peu excentré sur Beauregard. L’accessibilité est parfaite pour les courses: Le lion d’Angers, Château-Gontier voire Angers. Pour le tourisme, Angers et sa région proposent beaucoup de lieux d’exception.
Les maisons sont anciennes et très belles, encadrant une cour intérieure, on y dort bien et leur atmosphère est très agréable.
Le salon est vaste et peut abriter beaucoup d’activités. La table de salle à manger a pu accueillir 21 personnes. Elle est large et longue et permet à chacun de se voir. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle et très bien équipée, ce qu’il faut quand on doit assurer l’intendance d’un grand nombre de personnes.
De grandes tables de jardin nous ont permis également de déjeuner à l’extérieur.
La demeure est implantée sur un très vaste terrain, comportant des balançoires, une table de ping-pong et surtout une grande piscine, équipée de nombreuses chaises longues, le tout en parfait état.
Un accueil très sympathique.

Manoir super bien équipé, nous étions 22 avec les enfants et nous n avons manqué de rien. La piscine est très agreable, sécurisée et chauffée comme il faut. Le soleil étant de la partie avons bien profité des extérieurs hyper agréable. Super séjour, au calme, sans voisin.. à refaire! L accueil de wendy était parfait.. je recommande!

Spiral staircase, huge fireplaces and old beams - A sense of history
We rented just the Manoir building and enjoyed the use of a large living room and kitchen and 4 of the 5 bedrooms (we didn't use the dormitory 8 bedded room). The swimming pool was lovely and warm and in a good setting with a lockable access so it was secure from our children. The bathrooms had good showers and plenty of hot water. The kitchen had plenty of equipment. Outside we used the table tennis and BBQ and the 2 swings in the garden. There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool and we found 2 noodles and a ball to play with in the swimming pool. The pool had a cover to keep it warm. There were pretty flowers around the Manoir and a vine. We picked lots of blackberries around the edge of the large green space.
We enjoyed looking at the activity on the neighbouring farm where there was a herd of cows and 2 tractors. We watched the cattle being fed and moved and the adjacent field being ploughed. The driveway and garden were not fully fenced or gated from the farm and road.
The house was not far from many pretty villages and towns. There were no shops or restaurants in the village. We drove out each day to markets, shops and riverside views. We got roast chicken pre ordered from a campsite cafe/shop just a few km along the river.
Our outings to the Robert Tatin museum, the Refuge de l'arche (like a zoo) and river beach on the Loire were enjoyed by the whole family.

Totalement Déçu.
Cousinade du 16/09 au 18/09. Nous nous voyons une fois par an.
En effet le domaine est très joli. Mais je ne trouve que ce point de positif à notre séjour.
Arrivée sur les lieux le vendredi soir on nous annonce un nid de frelons dans la hôte de la cuisine sachant que les propriétaires étaient au courant depuis la veille... Etant en partie à plus de 3h de route de notre domicile nous n'allions pas rebrousser chemin.
On nous offre gracieusement le ménage de fin de séjour, et heureusement car je ne l'aurai pas fait moi même... des canettes de bière retrouvé sous les canapés (d'une marque que l'on a pas consommé), des vêtements sous les lits ne nous appartenant pas et de la vaisselle sale et un sol... je ne vous donne pas les détails. Le sol du dernier étage (dortoir + salle de bain) très dangereux.
Après 1 enfant piqué par les frelons en jouant dehors et 17 frelons tués à l'intérieur lors du séjour nous avions hâte de quitter les lieux.
Aucun geste commercial pour ce WE finalement gâché. Je suis extrêmement déçu...

Nous avons passé 10 jours de rêve dans le manoir Beauregard : propre, joli, très bien entretenu, très bien équipé et en plus avec une belle piscine... un vrai bonheur.

Family Vacation
Our stay at the Manoir was very enjoyable - the children were able to play outdoors, enjoy the pool (we paid for it to be heated), and create memories with their cousins. We loved our stay and would recommend it! Plus the host speaks english (very helpful!) !
