A lovely house in a beautiful setting, but seriously in need of a major mani-pedi! Generally speaking, the place needed a thorough cleaning both inside and out. Our issues (tntc) involved everything from bugs in the light fixtures to cub tv to mer

The house is beautiful and was what we needed for our large family. Would love to come back and stay!

Our stay was fantastic. Issues in the home were resolved quickly, even when we were just letting them know a frustration and not that anything needed to be done immediately, someone came around to make our stay better. The only thing I personally did not like about the location was the steep driveway. I had not been to this area and learned we do not like mountain area driving. We did like the view and the privacy. My sisters and mom gathered with our families. The house was amazing at accommodating all of us safely and comfortably.

The property was so amazing . The location snuggled in the mountains surrounds by trees . We really enjoyed this home . We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and it was the perfect house for a large number of family members .

We enjoyed getting away from it all! It was such a quiet place and had lots of room for us!
Here are some tips for those who like to come prepared.
* Bring extra towels. they only provide one towel per person and with the hot tub you will want another towel or two per person!
* Bring some paper plates and silverware. We frequently didn't have enough to last between dishwasher runs!
* Bring foil if you plan to use the grill.
* Bring tissues. There were not provided.
The bedroom situation was confusing for us on the website. Here is what they have:
2nd floor has three bedrooms:
* a room with twin beds and a set of bunk beds
* a room with 2 queens
* a room with 1 king bed
All these share a bathroom.
Main floor has 2 bedrooms:
* a master bedroom with a king bed and attached bath
* a room with a king bed and attached bath
There is also a half bath on this floor.
Basement level has two rooms:
* a room with a king bed
* a theater room with a massive screen with 4 twin mattresses in it.
These rooms share a full bath in the basement.
It was easy access to Lookout Mountain and we got to sit and watch the hang-gliders and para-gliders at the flight school.

My family and I completely enjoyed our time. We were in Chattanooga for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had 9 people and all were accommodated perfectly. We had the perfect ammount of separation and togetherness. We utilized all the amenities. Everyone was amazed by the amount of space and things to do just on the property. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Uniquestays for making our family vacation a success!

I’ve stayed at numerous rentals in the US & at least 3 other countries and have NEVER posted a negative review. I hate to do this but I don’t want others to waste their money. Booked for a family trip [11 adults & 6 children (all under 6)]. Upon check-in, we realized the heat/air on the main floor was broken. There were no extra comforters around. They did bring us space heaters the next day. The handy man said he has been trying to get it fixed for a month. We had no idea prior to check in on this issue. The owner called to ask if roofers could come while we were there and he would discount us $250 from our stay. I agreed. Roofers came before daylight. Property manager woke me up to alert me that vehicles needed to be moved. I was told by the owner it should only take half a day. We left the property and came back later. The roofers were there past 7pm. We later discovered sheet rock & nails on the floor/beds in the kids twin bunk room. The roofers came back at 6:15 the next morning to get trailer and woke us all up again. To top it off, we had a bonfire on our last night. Came inside to take showers only to find that septic system had stopped up. The basement bathtub flooded. We were told not to flush any toilets or run water for the rest of the night (13 individuals needed shower). Contacted rental company and owner several times with no response. Yet to receive $250 discount that owner agreed to for roofing day.
Would suggest pest control as we saw rat in living room

The house is nice and secluded. Communication with the investment company is immediate.
Problems we had:
1) wifi doesn’t work throughout the house. Only in main room
2) using too much hot water tripped the breaker
3) went in a cold spell and there was ice all over the deck. They didn’t clear it. Two of us slipped hard.
4) hot tub was listed on the listing as functional was broken. Then host tried to sell me some story as to why it wasn’t working. They did fix it while we were there. No idea if they treat the water.
5) could use some more warm blankets for a house in the mountains.

Absolutely beautiful property! Nice big windows overlooking the valley. We visited in January so viewing the ice-glazed ground, rocks and trees while standing in a warm home was a very calm and cozy feeling.
All the beds were super comfy with plenty of pillows and blankets for the winter. The heater worked perfectly. We came during a cold blast so we never saw temperatures above freezing but the house was always warm, though for that reason we never did experience the hot tub.
Movie theatre was a huge hit! At one point we stuffed 12 people in there for card games and movies and still had space for more. The projector is clear, free HDMI cable for easy hookup of your own device (we just used the roku provided by management) and the speakers get loud enough to drown out those pesky friends who like to talk through the whole movie!
What else; Kitchen was fully equipped, fridge is huge, bathrooms were super clean, hot water was hot.
When we arrived we had an issue with the wifi network not getting internet access. I texted our point of contact to let her know, then we went out to see some family. While we were out, they sent tech out to the property. We're talking late in the evening around 9 or 10pm and they STILL got it done! No canned response, no "we'll get to it in the morning," they fixed it immediately. If that isn't great service I don't know what is. High speed internet btw.
10/10 recommend this property, superb place for larger gatherings.

We had our extended family Christmas getaway at this house and really enjoyed our stay! There were four families with 10 total people and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy time with each other. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils. The teenage boys loved the theater room, pool table, and ping pong table. It was close enough to town to be able to run out and get groceries but still felt like a retreat. We enjoyed our stay!

Plenty of room for the whole family we ranged in age from 7 months to 77, Kitchen was well stocked. Everyone enjoyed watching the paragliders from the back deck. There was a high chair, bouncy seat and playpen for our little ones. Pool table and ping pong table was a lot of fun as well as the theatre room. It was about 20 min to Chattanooga and 30/35 to Fort Payne/Mentone area. There was an Ingles less than 10 min from house for supplies. Communication was great. One bedroom had 2 single beds plus bunk beds Would stay again.

The Location is primo.... above the trees and looking down on an open field where a small plane carries hand-gliders up and releases them. It was great entertainment... No need for Netflix. The kids could run around on the back deck. The garage had a ping-pong table which made for some good competitions. The home is lovely and spacious. Huge media room!! We had a very wonderful memorable time and will be back for sure. Staff was super attentive and friendly. I know the hot tub will be working next time.

This is a very private secluded area but beautiful and large. We were pleasantly greeted with view of colorful hangliders landing on a small airfield at the bottom of the valley. There was plenty of room for my family to be comfortable. As 2 of my aunts and my Father are elderly it was a challenge for them to navigate the many stairs and levels. Unfortunately my aunt fell on the porch and sustained several fractures, so those with balance challenges need to beware. We also had poor luck contacting property management for the Hot tub which did not work so we missed out on that. It was still a good place to stay and the surrounding were gorgeous.

Had 12 family members in the group and everyone loved everything about the stay! A very nice home to spend time just sitting around with family, sitting around the campfire, playing pool, or heading to various places around the area. As with any location in the mountains, the Wi-Fi is going to be a little slow but we didn’t go there for Internet service. Would definitely look into renting this place for future vacations! Thank you so much for a great vacation place!

We stayed at Wildwood for our Ironman trip. It was a great property for our group and provided an awesome retreat away from the busyness of downtown Chattanooga.
We found convenient shopping nearby in Trenton and it was a lot of fun to watch the paragliding through the trees.
The property was exactly as listed and communicating with the host was easy. We found the hot tub to be great after the race too!

The whole group of us spoke highly about the location and the peace that was in the home when we entered. Attending a women's conference in the area and coming "home" to the retreat was absolutely perfect!
Many of us will be returning with our own families!!

We had a great time & the property was beautiful! We did have some issues with finding things within the property. Towels, garbage bags, etc. But it did not change our view on the property. Overall, I would recommend this property for large groups!

With the hot tub below and the hanggliders above, this hilly getaway provided a very chill place to relax and enjoy some time to reconnect with those you haven’t seen in a while. (:
Loved the pool table and theater room!

Secluded just enough. Beautiful views. Wosh we would have had longer to enjoy it. Very spacious. Love the Theatre room!
8.0 / 10.0
The house is beautiful and huge. We had 3 families (total of 12) fit very comfortably. Theater room kept the kiddos entertained while adults cooked. House had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. We ended up bringing a lot of our dishes/pots but if you are doing simple meals, you will have all you need. Hot tub was nice after a day out hiking. Only improvement needed is the cleanliness of the house. It was not swept or mopped before our arrival at 4p. The kitchen floor was sticky and so was the table. Bears and/or raccoons visited nightly too. Scorpions are definitely a thing. Driveway is very small & very steep. We made sure to come home before nightfall b/c it is very dark with no lighting.
Overall we had an amazing time in the time, enjoying our family and taking in the beautiful views.

This house was perfect for our family and our daughters bridesmaids and flower girls. My only suggestion would be to possibly add more than one washcloth per person. We had a full wedding weekend planned but had to wash towels/washcloths daily.

I spent my birthday week here with my family and this property and home is absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10, hands down!!! Too many great things to say…. just come check this place out for yourself….you will not regret it!!!!
8.0 / 10.0
We absolutely loved the place. Very spacious, it was more than we expected.
Only a few things we noticed that was missing.
Add chicken wire on top of the trash box you have out there. Animals are still getting in, and it's from the top. We took pictures when they were digging through. We had to clean up trash everyday from around the box.
Have some sort of drawer dresser, even a small one will do. It will work way better, specially for those staying longer.
You have awesome closet space, but no hangers. Maybe the dressers can go in the closets so it does not take up space in the rooms.
These things will help to not live out of a messy suitcase when staying longer time.
We ran out of toilet paper. 🙈 I did ask for more, I did not even get a reply. 😞
Lastly, nightstands. You need some place to put your glasses, watch, phone, stuff like that.
Other than that, and overall, it was an awesome place.

This house is amazing. Plenty of room for the whole family to unwind without being on top of each other. The property is out in the woods but centrally located to do a lot of activities. Loved the stay.
10.0 / 10.0
The house size was perfect for my large family. They have a lot of amenities such as pool table, ping pong table, movie room, hot tub and plus awesome view of the mountains. It is also close to trails and not a far drive into chattanooga. The only negative thing is that the hottub was not that clean, but management stated they will do something about it. We will definitely book again but this time for a longer time.

Check out time could be later and check in time says 4:00 but cleaners were there at 4:30? Need new pans for cooking pans are wore out along with more bowls.

The good - We had 14 people in our party, the home was spacious enough that we never felt cramped. We really loved that there were 2 master bedrooms on the main level, and that each level had its own thermostat. There was plenty of seating for meals. The views are spectacular, the hot tub was wonderful, & the deck lighting was magical.
The bad - I don’t know when the last time the place was cleaned, definitely not the day we checked in. Apparently there’s a ladybug/beetle problem, because they were everywhere (mostly dead for some time). A window was left open on the main floor, which we finally figured out & I only bring up because “closing windows” is part of the check-out list. During our stay the temperature dropped below freezing. Not only did the Hot Tub start leaking, the main pump at the road froze & on Christmas Day we had no water. I immediately contacted Unique Stays, they had someone bring out 2 cases of water bottles. They then had to come back with about six 1 gallon water jugs so we could use the toilets. A plumber came out the next day & by the afternoon everything was working.
Overall, we had a great time, just wish there was some precautions or preparedness taken before the temps dipped below 32°F and maybe the frozen pipes & no water could have been avoided.
10.0 / 10.0
The pictures were exactly as the house was. Large spacious, plenty of room in the mountain area. Would rent again but not on a holiday. As any rental is, higher in cost. Had an 80th joint bday to celebrate and it was great having it there. Only there 2 nights.
6.0 / 10.0
The home was beautiful and most of the amenities worked, however some where in the description there needs to be a disclaimer about the long, one lane, dark and narrow road that leads to the home. We could not see at night so returning home after dinner or going to late night activities was difficult. Also there are hundreds of lady bugs inside and outside of the home during the day.
We also killed about 4 black widows spiders and lots of stink bugs. Someone definitely needs to call pest control. Overall the home was great and had plenty of space. Absolutely love the open concept as well as the patio views (three balconies) The Bath tub in the master sweet was amazing and the kitchen appliances were great! Honestly if it wasn’t for the super dark road and the bugs everything would have been perfect.
6.0 / 10.0
The spot was safe for infants and elders. The house was large and accommodating (Not too sound proof though). Our issues were:
- bedroom communications were that there were 2 rooms with only one twin mattress bed. Not true. We had difficulty knowing how the bedrooms were situated for our large group.
- 18 people and fewer than 10 sets of silverwear, mugs, no iron, water temperature in kitchen inconsistently wouldn't give cold water, no towels for those staying in theater room.
- multiple check in/out times on emails and vrbo listing,
- given incorrect code to get in,
- eventually each of these minor problems were mostly corrected, but some of these things were important to us (cultery and being able to iron before wedding.)
8.0 / 10.0
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room for 8 kids and 6 adults to spread out and each have our on space, or enjoy time together in the common spaces. We loved the property, enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The house had almost everything we needed. Based on other reviews we brought some extra toilet paper, towels, paper towels, and trash bags.
We loved the location! We went to Lula Lake/falls, Cloudland State Park, Ruby Falls, Rock City, lncline Railway, the Aquarium in Chattanooga, and hang gliding at the flight park near the house.
We were worried about the oven not working, based on other reviews, but it has been fixed and worked great for us. When we arrived the main floor AC was not working to cool the main floor. The host/management team were easy to contact and helped trouble shoot the issues, ultimately sending a repair man to fix it. Once fixed it worked great! There also was a leak in the basement from the main floor bathroom we think that made the basement smell horrible on our last full day there. And the patio door handle kept falling off. There were a few smaller issues but they were handled promptly. The house does need some maintenance, but overall was a great place to stay for our large group.
10.0 / 10.0
My friends and I were looking for a home base to take a group vacation near the Chattanooga / Lookout Mountain area, and this was the perfect stay for us. The accommodations and amenities were exactly what we needed, and the location provided us with easy access to Cloudland Canyon State Park and the Tennessee River Gorge for some outdoor activities.
8.0 / 10.0
Very private and roomy.
House was nice, very spacious and private. Even though it was way off the beaten path it was within 20 to 30 minutes from everything we wanted to do. Beds were comfortable and it was nice having a separate bathroom for each of our four families. A couple of things that could be improved upon is the sofa in the main living room. It's very uncomfortable for older people and hard to get out of. The media room had a projector but none of us could connect to it with tablets, it was HDMI input only, no WIFI. There was a side TV but you end up losing the seating arrangement so only a couple of people used it. Also there were remote controls scattered throughout that seemingly went to nothing, we had to take a remote from one of the bedrooms to make the living room tv work. Other than those few inconveniences the home came with everything we needed and provided plenty of amenities. The pool table was very enjoyable. Overall the home met our expectations and provided enough entertainment in between the sight seeing.
