About this house rental

We are delighted you are considering visiting our home that is located on Prospect mountain in Estes Park, Colorado. It is within walking distance to shopping, food and entertainment. After spending a day in our Majestic Rocky Mountain National Park which is only a few miles to the entrance, enjoying a game of putt-putt golf, water bumper cars, arcades or ropes coarse just down the street and also within walking distance of the house, you can retreat to our comfortable mountain home that is nestled among boulders and pine trees to relax in the hot tub with views of the mountains. It has a fully furnished kitchen, two bedrooms, a game room loft that accommodates extra sleeping space, a living/sitting area in the open concept kitchen & dinning room and a laundry room with a washer and dryer for your use. There is high speed wireless internet for those still needing to work or teens going through gaming withdraws and televisions located in each bedroom, the dinning room and the game room with free channels and apps you can log into using your accounts. Our home is a great retreat for couples or a fun place to stay for families (please note there are stairs for those with toddlers but a gate is available). We are located less than 2 miles from the recreation center that has lap, diving, kiddie and lazy river pools along with exercise equipment, classes and walking lanes. The golf course and fairgrounds are also just a couple miles away. Please note the street may be icy or snowy in the winter and all-wheel drive is recommended during winter stays. The hot tub was such a luxury after hiking all day at Rocky Mountain National Park! We enjoyed taking in the Mountain View’s from the deck in the morning. No bugs, but still would have liked a screen door on the sliding door to the deck so the breeze could go through without leaving things wide open. Very updated and clean space, nice bathrooms and amenities. Beds were a touch hard for our taste, but the location and deck/ hot tub made this place a true gem. We would definitely return and recommend!

This place was so perfect for our three kids and us. The kids loved the hot tub and the views. I loved the hummingbirds and the deer. So clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. When we come back to RMNP we are renting this place again!

We had a great stay at the house and found it very comfortable for our family of 4. The hottub was a great addition after a day of hiking and we really liked that we were a quick walk to many things downtown (if you don't mind walking the short hill). The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the stash of games to play. My only call out is that there is no AC (as advertised! because it's not needed). If you don't mind sleeping with windows open to let the cool air in it's not a problem and wasn't for us. Otherwise it could get a but stuffy at night - though there are nice ceiling fans to help. I would definitely recommend and visit again!

Was a beautiful spot to enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park. Walking distance to some restaurants and breweries. There are other houses around, but it’s a peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for a couple days in June as we explored RMNP. This place is ideally located near downtown but still super quiet at night. Property was very clean and the hot tub was very nice after long days of hiking. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Rocky Retreat in Estes Park! The location is perfect for walking into town and just steps away from the aerial tram and Fun City—super convenient and no parking hassles. The house itself is adorable, very clean, and well-decorated. It’s stocked with plenty of games, which was a hit, and the hot tub was a perfect treat after a day of hiking. The beds were a bit firm for our liking, but that’s a small detail. Overall, we loved our time here and highly recommend Rocky Retreat for a great getaway!

Rocky Retreat was everything advertised and more! Wonderful location with easy access to downtown and RMNP. Well stocked with everything needed for a relaxing and home like stay. The owners took extra measures to cover anything you may have forgotten! Take advantage of the hot tub and grill with the beautiful weather and scenery. Great for families or a couples getaway! Will definitely be planning a trip back here!

Perfect visit to RMNP in mid-March, right after an unprecedented spring snowfall. Rocky Retreat did not disappoint! The park opened within 24 hours and it was awesome. Exactly as advertised. We will return for a summer experience very soon.

We had the best time at Laura’s place! It was so cozy, quiet, and relaxing. The hot tub on the snowy deck was the best way to end the day. We didn’t have a single issue while we were there. She really thought of every little detail we might need durning our stay. I can’t wait to come back and bring my kiddo!

The location of this place is perfection, the hot tub was PERFECT. The game/tv room upstairs was so family oriented. Is is great for doing all the things as well as just hanging out at the house!! 10/10 will return.

The place was continently located (8 minute walk to downtown), very clean, comfortable beds, and a nice hot tub. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking as well. It made an amazing new years with friends!

A good location and property. We particularly loved the hot tub and used it daily. There’s a loft with a foosball table, family games, and some toys for younger children. I was nervous that the beds felt too hard but we slept surprising well and the bedding was so cozy we could have stayed there all day. We had all the things we needed and check in and out were easy. We highly recommend this property.

This has been our favorite vrbo thus far. The space was clean, well equipped, and spacious. When we arrived the smoke detector was beeping low battery and the host was extremely quick to respond and had a new battery within 15 minutes. It’s a beautiful home tucked away on a hillside and was perfect for our wedding stay. Thank you again!
