Clean, spacious, conveniently located to the slopes. Would definitely recommend.

Not really 4 bedrooms (2 bedrooms and divided loft). Poor kitchen utensils and pans; dirty stove. ROKU cable /TV limited for long stays or if you like sports.

Thanksgiving stay!
We rented this place over the Thanksgiving weekend for two families, and we had a great time. You can walk to the slope, if you don't mind carrying all the equipment. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need.

Loved it once again!
Between the Highland games, which I just missed, or the fine arts festival at sugar mountain, it seemed like there was always something going on in the area! The area was busy enough to have options, but not so busy it felt busy. I still love the view of the 4th green from the deck, it's a tough hole for people which makes watching more fun. The unit was clean and tidy with ample towels both on racks and under the sink.

Sweet as sugar in Sugar Mountain
The location could not be better! If the desire is to visit Sugar Mountain- then here is where one must stay. If golf is one of your interests- this is a place for you. The back balcony overlooks the complex’ green. The decor (other than country living circa 1980’s) is all about golf. Although it appears small- there was plenty of sleeping spaces for our party of 8. It is cozy & inviting. The absence of central air is not a problem if fresh mountain air is what you seek. There was an electrical fan for each room of this condo. Also, most of the windows open up easily. The place is impeccably clean. The older appliances look like they have never been used. Our tips for you are: bring your own coffee pods/ grounds, salt, pepper, & anything else you might need to cook. The place does have plenty of silverware, pots, pans, & baking pans. Also, bring your own lighter to turn on the large candle at the entrance. Or, bring your own plug-ins (to off-set the musty closed-in smell). Overall, we had a great time!

Sugar mountain getaway
Loved the location. However, fireplace did not work. Leak in bathroom upstairs. Some lamps did not have bulbs. Hot water heater not turned on so had to wait for that to heat up. There were eight people so took awhile for people to take showers. For the price I had to pay we were disappointed.

Perfect location!
We had two hills on either side to sled down, and its about a 10 minute walk to Ski Sugar so you dont have to worry about parking!

Excelente ubicacion y limpieza
Excellent cleaning, sheets and towels in excellent condition. Very clean and towels in abundance. The kitchen is very well equipped, with enough dishes for 15 people. The place is very well located, you could even walk to the attractions of Sugar Mountain Resort. I will definitely contact the owner again for my next stay!

Good location
House was convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway and local sites. Home was comfortable and a great price for the area. It seems the place was shut up for a while. There was a strange smell when we first arrived but it dissipated throughout our stay. Mildew in caulk and shower curtain liner in the main bathroom. Management company includes only a 'starter' kit for household items. There was one kitchen garbage bag, a partial roll of paper towels, and almost empty toilet paper in the main bath. Bedding was comfortable and clean.

A relaxing getaway
This was my first experience with VRBO. Easy to book and easy to find. I suggest taking extra towels although towels are provided. Condo was perfect for a short vacation away from busy schedules.

Amazing cabin in the heart of it all! Right on the best hole!
This cabin was in such a good central location to the area. Banner elk, seven devils, grandfather mountain, beech mountain, linville, blowing rock and boone. You’re right next to world class trout fishing on the rivers and lakes all around. We went to elk river falls which was amazing! One of many in the area. Sugar mountain opens up for downhill mountain biking during the summer and we sat on the ski lodge patio and watched them ride down(and sometimes crash!) which was pretty cool. The foodie or “locals hangouts” restaurants nearby are great and abundant, but if that’s not your style, the grill area is like 20 feet away and equipped with gas or a charcoal grill, Seating and power, all covered. Or you can cook easily for a group in the open kitchen!
Outside of it’s literally perfect location, the cabin itself it open and bright. Comfortable beds and everything was immaculately clean! Reallly really clean. The patio was amazing. Sitting out there with a beverage watching golfers chip up the hill to the green on the top of the hill was a blast. We witnessed some amazing puts from a “ringside seat” patio!
You won’t find a better value, perfect for a couple(we were most of our stay) but easily accommodates larger groups(like our last stay)!
