Due to unforeseen problems we weren’t able to go to make our original vacation. Friends live in Twain Harte so we decided to visit them. SO RELAXING!! What a great place to spend time when you need to get away from work! The house was great, clean and peaceful. The only slight problem was all of the leaves were falling off the trees so the deck, chairs and table wetter covered with leaves and dust so we couldn’t use it. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed in the master (the only one we used) was SO comfortable. OVERALL the best vacation I have had in a long time!!! Much needed! Would stay again if I ever head that way again!

Definitely felt the homey vibes in this cabin. We arrived later in the night and not difficult to find and enter home. My 19m old instantly woke up and ran into the kiddie corner and played with all the goodies! Our grown teenagers had space to lounge around and had room to themselves. Having the 2 bathrooms helped out blended family enjoy our stay that much better. I would highly recommend this cabin.

We were two families including 4 kids. The house was very clean and organized. With cute games to play.
The kitchen was accessorized with all the stuff we needed.
The only disadvantage is that the porch was super dirty so we couldn't play or eat outside.

Great deck, good location from Dodge resort.
Heater does take a while (We were warned) Its def a good idea to start the fire place first. Smart TV worked wonderfully for Super bowl. Firepit kept us very warm too.

We had a great time staying here. The cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed. The owners were very thoughtful and communicative throughout our stay. We hope to return before the end of snow season. Thank you Brian for your hospitality! What a fun family home.

We spent our days at Dodge Ridge after some great snowfall. We came home each night to a well appointed and cozy family cabin that worked well for us. Plenty of room to spread out, and a fun retro vibe that reminded us of the houses we visited growing up. Lovely wood burning fire place and room for the kids to roam a bit outside. We wanted for nothing during our time there. We will definitely be back!

Great vacation house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it is really comfortable in winter, never know the roof heating system before, but it does make the whole house warm, you can just wear a t shirt all the time

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay. The living room is wonderful with lots of space. It was hot outside but the air conditioning kept us nice and cool. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. Lovely deck to sit outside, with lots of seating. Short drive to Pinecrest Lake. I would definitely come back!

Great Little Town in Great Location
We had a very nice stay in Twain Harte. The house itself was perfect for us. And we could make interesting day trips very easily. Even had a couple of restaurants we liked. We only had one minor problem. We couldn’t use the fire pit because of high fire danger that week. The communication with the owners was fast, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely come back.

Great Place in Great Location
We had a really nice stay here. And we loved the Twain Harte area. Fun little town and was a perfect jumping off spot for other attractions: Sonora, Columbia, Pine Lake, etc. The home itself was very well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We had one little hitch. We were looking forward to using the fire pit but we couldn’t because of high fire danger at that time. The hosts were very responsive. Got back to us quickly and helped us with minor concerns. Would definitely stay again.

Short Notice Success!
We came on short notice for a Celebration of Life for my dear cousin. More family was able to join at last minute and we were able to extend our stay by two days. Really appreciated that accommodation!
The house decor is rather dated which created it's own charm. The beds are newer and comfy and the house was pretty clean. We did find Easter candy in the carpet and the coffee pot was not cleaned out; minor things we took care of ourselves.
The deck is a GREAT gathering place; we hosted a family dinner there. The outdoor speakers for music and the outdoor lights were a great touch!
Kitchen is pretty well equipped but there are no chef's knives for food prep. Made do with two paring knives and a small serrated knife (plenty of steak knives).
Mornings and evenings deer roam along the back side of the house. We even saw a coyote come from the back woods our last morning.
Be careful backing out of the driveway. Not only is it on a hilly curve, but there is a drainage ditch that sucked in two cars (one required a truck to pull it out). Would recommend reflector posts to help warn folks.
Overall, I am so grateful for being able to stay in this home. My family had a great time reminiscing and being together. Check in and check out were easy and the hosts texted to make sure we were safe and happy.

We stayed for a week as a family in this lovely and lively cabin and neighborhood. Everything was clean, well stoked and in working condition (we wore white hotel slippers inside to keep it clean, wish everyone did!) Fun and useful details all throughout - candles, wall art, deer antlers light fixture, minibar, smart TV, WIFI, USB charger, AC in every room, large patio where everyone could relax and eat dinner...Nearby Twain Harte and its market carrying local specialties, multiple lakes such as New Melones Lake, the Sonora pass at over 9000 feet and the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail), Sonora and its Washington street, Columbia and its State Historic Park, Jamestown and its Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, Yosemite National Park at a short 2 hours drive and much, much more, to say nothing of the deer and wild turkey along the mountain roads...Twain Heart felt thanks from our family to yours for welcoming us in your cabin where your sweet grand-father spirit lives!

Peaceful retreat
The place was perfect, clean and plenty of space to spread out. Each room had air conditioning. The patio was great way to enjoy the sunset and early morning rise, was very quiet. Flat level of driveway was perfect to unload. Would stay again. Take a drive to Pinecrest Lake, it was a Great Lake.

First. The address was incorrect on vrbo so for like 20 minutes we searched even went on foot thinking it was hidden behind houses. Then we thought we just got CATFISHED!!... called and got holsld of brian.. got correct address.. relief!.. found house..Start the vacation- do not like the very sharp turn the driveway on. Cars come around the corner at high speed and scary seeing this at times. Can see from deck.. outside was nice. We loved the deck space! The outside speakers and firepit was awesome!! Going in. Inside was clean, did not smell musty or old. Really like the nice little gifted basket on the table. Having mini air conditioner in each room was the best! The folded towels and chocolate on each bed was great touch! The beds where comfortable which was a BIG PLUS. I have stayed in a place we all fought over couch as beds were horrible! So truely loved that. I had text from brian wife Mayumi a few times. She was very sweet. I let her know of some concerns she might want to check out soon as I am a home owner and would want to know and she was very grateful. I would give this place 4.5..( didnt like the sharp curve road so close) even with that road I would come back.

Multi-Purpose Getaway
Very nice! Everything we needed was there. Portable A/C units in bedrooms were unexpected, but worked well. Very comfortable deck with umbrella tables and chairs. Totally quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again.
