Welcome to the rules for Bear Suites Village Inn - Polar Bear Suite. Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.
1. Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests (2 adults max).
2. Parking: Space for 1 vehicle. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.
3. Pets: Pets Allowed (Max: 2 pets).
- Pets require pre-approval: Post-approval, a $20 fee per pet applies (charged post-booking).
- Unapproved Pets: incur a minimum of a $1,000 fine.
- Pet Guidelines:
** Kennel pets when unattended.
** Keep off furniture/beds.
** Clean up after them.
** Charges apply for pet damages.
*** Coyote Warning: *** Coyotes are extremely prevalent in Big Bear, even in the most densely populated areas. If you see one, you can bet they're part of an unseen pack. These animals are bold and territorial. They pose a significant threat to pets. For their safety, never leave your pets unattended, even in fenced areas, especially after dark. Coyotes are known for their ability to overcome barriers, including high fences. And they're even known for attacking pets that are on a leash. We cannot overstate the need for heightened vigilance concerning your pets' safety.
4. Check-In: Conducted at The Village Office for a warm welcome and local code compliance.
5. Noise: Quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement's decisions.)
6. Air Conditioning: NO Central AC.
7. Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don't leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)
8. Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.
9. Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)
10. No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
* If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.
11. Age: Minimum booking age is 18.
12. Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.
13. Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.

Great location smack dab in the middle of the village.
Bed is firm, so if you like that, this is perfect.
Could use some updated furniture in living room and dining room.

It was my first time at Big Bear Lake, and I’m really glad my partner and I stayed here! Walkable distance to all the shops and restaurants. Not much nightlife around, but you don’t really need it when you have a jacuzzi to go home to!! That was our favorite part of our stay. We stayed outdoors a majority of the time, and it was nice to soak in the tub after a long day out. Thank you SoCal Vacations!

Very nice and quiet. Ground floor in case you have trouble with stairs. Really, the only thing I’d change: the couch was a futon. You probably know what that means - it was so hard and painful I couldn’t sit on it for more than a few minutes. My tailbone is still sore!

Perfect for two
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the Polar Bear Room couldn’t have been more perfect for us. Reservation were easy however watch for super high rates on weekends. Whole place was really clean and really quiet. Having a kitchen was so helpful too. Location was great for being in heart of city and interaction with Property Mgr. was enormously pleasant. They really did everything they could to help us out.

Having never been to Big Bear, I had no idea what to expect.
The Good - The location can’t be beat! Easy access to unlimited touristy-things. Shopping, restaurants, drinks, etc. The unit was cozy and comfortable — a perfect space for two. (Although with the king bed, futon, and roll-away, could accommodate more)
The pictures and description were accurate. You see the light from a window in the living room that opens to a parking lot. There’s a window in the bedroom that opens to a funny little alley that the general public may or may not have access to.
This is also a downstairs unit which means hearing people run up and down the stairs.
Aside from those things, the service was great, super responsive, and so easy to check in.
This is definitely a great place to stay in Big Bear if you’re looking for a convenient, easy location.

I was expecting a 4 Diamond room. You entered the room from a dirty parking lot and entered a somewhat run down room. It was clean I’ll say that much for it. There was no air conditioning., the room was so hot. Actually there was a small unit on the floor by the window but it wasn’t connected into the window properly. We called management and they said the room didn’t actually come with air. I never thought to look at listing these days to see if there is heat or air, I just presume it will be there. VRBO should not list a room as 4 Diamond without air. The manager would not come out, so my husband ended up hooking it up properly. Then it worked, but are room could easily be broken into because the window could not be closed. I’m not sure how vrbo rates rooms, but I assure you this was not a 4 out of 5 Diamond room.

The property manger replied to all my messages and got me to the room. But here is the real review. When we arrived the room it smelled like dog pee. So bring a candle or something. Overall the room was nice minus the smell. Location is good but view is bad.
