The restaurant was not opened when we were there.
It would have been nice if the restaurant had been opened
4.2
They have a wonderful pizza restaurant inside! The crust is stuffed with your toppings and was incredible! Would reccomend to everyone in Lake City!
Everything was fabulous!
4.2
Our plans had changed and we had four people instead of two. They were very accommodating and helped to swap rooms with another guest so that we had adequate room. That was above and beyond great service.
4.2
The location is great with good parking
4.2
Room was spacious, cozy, spotlessly clean, well-appointed.
No breakfast available, just directions to cafe in town. Though room had fridge, microwave, coffee maker, eating utensils, there was no coffee/creamer/sugar.
4.2
Don’t judge the place by the outside. Looks kind of junky but people were very friendly and the room way very nice

Reasonably priced for a mountain town. The room was spotless. Great view of the mountains. The motel provided all the amenities we needed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, heater. The owners were pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.

Price could have been a little better since everything in town was closed for the season

the staff was exceptional, we will definitely stay there again!

We did not have breakfast at this location. We went to a cute little spot in town for breakfast.
There was not a lot of hot water. The location and the views offer untapped potential for the property. Guests could enjoy more of the outdoor space if they would put a bit more TLC into it. Especially considering this is a Summer destination.

Bed was very soft

Outdated, under maintained. Appears that corners are cut to operate and maintain property. Definitely a motel, not a lodge.

Staff was very responsive and helpful. We were able to park our motorcycles right in front of our room and the hotel is close to town and trails.
A bit dated, but clean - my most important criteria.
4.2
Breakfast?
Location is close to downtown Lake City and all of the attractions. Parking is easy and convenient with our motorcycles right outside our room.
All as expected. No complaints.

Great views, clean, very nice to have a kitchenette with basic supplies!
Thin walls

The three nights prior to staying at the Alpine Moose Lodge in Lake City, my wife and I had lodged at three chain motels. We knew we wouldn’t be getting that experience, but weren’t sure what we would be getting at the Alpine Moose Lodge. From the outside, the six rooms share a common front, but once we entered the door, we were very pleasantly surprised! It was a cabin room! It had (and still does, of course) a high vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors. A cool touch was that both mattress frames were supported by actual tree trunk segments. Unlike many cabins, though, this was very clean throughout! It had small but not trivial things like an extension cord end that is meant to on top of the bed stand that had not only two electrical outlets but two USB ports as well, and like a very easy wireless login process. But the best part was next morning – we opened our blinds to a really fine view of an impressive hill along with a view of the valley that continues down into Lake City. We sat in the chairs outside our room and drank our coffee in the sun, just taking in the view. A very positive Lake City experience!
AML should shutter up that old pizza restaurant so people don't think that it's open. It was kind of confusing because of the old pizza place, the fact that I didn't see the Ring Doorbell at first and the fact that it was almost dusk, trying to figure out where to check in. Tracey had sent me a text message detailing exactly that, but I didn't receive the text until later because our cell phone provider - AT&T - didn't have coverage for us anywhere through the valley.

It was nice with having a kitchette.
No light switch to turn on the lights had to go to the lamps.

Location. Was quiet. Clean.
I booked thru Booking.com. Was priced at 137 including taxes and fees but when got to the lodge was told 161. When I argued with the owner/ manager/ bookkeeper she was adamant the price was 161 which included booking fees. Told her that’s not the way it’s worked in past. She didn’t budge. Older room

We didn't avail ourselves of the restaurant, but everything else was great. They took great care of us.

The beds were comfortable. Extra storage of the medicine cabinet, closet shelf and night stand was a nice feature. Fan was provided as well as a candle incense burner. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service. Amenities were very nice: Large Refrigerator, small coffee maker, more ceramic coffee cups and coffee at a request, and Ice received at the restaurant. The pizza was worth the long wait for a table and receiving the food order. Plenty of outlets for technology. Beautiful scenery! I had a Deer walk by my room every morning.
New owners, so the improvements may be planned. At around 7pm each night, a weird smell was by the bed and made it difficult to breathe due to Asthma. I had to sleep with a face mask to avoid the chemical smell, stop coughing and breathe. It would be nice to have more towel racks for the double bed rooms, with 4 people, it was difficult to dry the towels. The desk lamp had a burning smell, so we ended up unplugging and not using it.
