This home sits on Travis St. and is 2 blocks away from Main St. Enjoy your time away by sipping wine on the front porch, stargazing from the perch, sitting by the fire pits or hot tubbing on the back porch. The high-end renovated 1900s home is over 4000 sq feet and comprised of 5 large Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms, formal & informal Living Areas, a large Country Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry and informal & formal Dining.
The Painted Lady on Travis is a notable home in Fredericksburg, Texas. It takes its name from the Painted Lady Victorian Homes in California which celebrated art, life, and color through their unique paint details. Another noteworthy item: The Painted Lady Estate was owned by one of the most famous artist families in the State of Texas. Out of courtesy to the family we do not share the name; but if you stay, you are welcome to guess. There are clues in the artwork found throughout the house. The artist is the only one in Texas to be featured in the Smithsonian Museum. Come enjoy this very large expansive high-end historic home. We were in Fredericksburg for the 2024 total eclipse. For a group of 10 it was a relief to find such a large house with great shared spaces. We had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and we were within walking distance to the main stretch of Fredericksburg. Thank you for hosting us!

Beds really comfy; kitchen well equipped. One bedroom off downstairs hall very awkward. Catches all the noise from the only door outside and no shower. Good for kids only.

The house was perfect for our group. Lots of room and we’ll appointed. My only complaint is that the twin trundle bed was in a hallway opposite windows with no curtains or shutters. It forced a last minute change in rooms that were painstakingly planned. I found it challenging to get uniform answers from Cozi. When requesting an early check-in, I got a different answer every time I called.

Had a birthday weekend in FBurg with 11 total people. House was great, awesome location. Adequately stocked with essential amenities. Would definitely recommend and utilize property in future. Hot tub was out of service, but other than that it was an amazing experience

What a great property. If you’re looking for space and convenience this is it. Minutes from everything you’d want to see in Fredericksburg. The house will put you in the exact mood you’re looking for in the Hill Country. History, privacy, and all the little touches you’d like too have on your vacation. Loved it.

Beautiful home with everything you need! Plenty of space for a group - we had 5 couple there celebrating 40th birthdays. Backyard was the perfect spot to hangout! Location was close to town so easy to walk and avoid having to drive and find a parking spot. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

It was such a beautiful home. Well stocked with supplies for cooking. Everyone enjoyed having their own space. I want to wall paper my kitchen because of the beautiful paper in this VRBO.

We stayed with 4 other couples for the 10k wine run. Easy to get to, easy parking, plenty of room. We walked to and from downtown. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Thank you!

Kelly was an outstanding host of an incredible property that met and exceeded our expectations! The home was spacious enough for our 10 adults and 4 children, and there were plenty of spots to gather and kick back. If we come back to Fredericksburg, this is where we want to stay!

We stayed at the Painted Lady in October for a siblling family reunion. This is a gem of a property. Very spacious, and attractively decorated. When we first entered, we had the feeling that it was even better than the pictures. We ate breakfast and dinner on the back deck as we were lucky enough to have perfect weather for it. The location is Very Walkable to the Main St shops and restaurants and there's lots to do in the area. The check in and check out process was super easy and the host, Kelly, was very responsive throughout the process. We highly recommend a visit to Fredericksburg and particularly this property.

Painted Lady
Our family of 9 including our 2 year old grandson, stayed here in July. It is a beautiful home and it was perfect for our needs.
The converted attic space with Queen bed & private bath does have a large fan on the wall for circulation but no AC vent to bring in cool air.
Great communication with the hostess; easy check in and check out processes.
Would definitely stay here again!

Most perfect home away from home
This house is even more amazing than the pictures. We ended up with nine women for a birthday trip. The house and porches were so spacious that we never felt cramped or crowded and had plenty of room to sleep comfortably. The house was really well furnished and even had two fridges which was a life saver given we all brought our own food. Very close walk to Main Street. We already rented again for next year to return.

The grounds are beautiful and the house is close enough to main to walk - but we drove and found parking fairly easily. This is the first VRBO where we chose to stay at the house more than go out. Every tv had streaming options, the kitchen table sat 8 comfortably, and the large island was perfect for a large spread of food. We are all sad we had to leave already! Great property! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Perfect house for large groups
We really enjoyed our stay at this location! It was the perfect home to accommodate large groups and everyone was able to sleep comfortably and spread out. It was just a few blocks away from the main road and was very clean and well kept. I definitely will be returning back as this was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience with zero hassle!!
