Altes Schloss, Zimmer sehr individuell gestaltet.
Abtrennung der Toilette zum Zimmer fehlt

Individually modernly designed rooms in a historical castle - Very cosy! The hotel is managed by hotellerie students, who are doing an excellent job.
Nothing to complain about

Locatie is voldoende.

We loved the layout of the hotel, the super bed with plenty of pillows and the extra duvet that was delivered immediately. We loved the freshness of the room, the great shower, the breakfast with excellent bread, coffee, eggs and the service. We loved the opportunity to rent good bikes, which we used to the max to bike to the centre (10 minutes only) and even beyond to enjoy dinner at Prix de Rome, which took us 20 minutes only, which was thanks to the weather a great ride offering lovely views on the city at night. It was the first time in Maastricht on the bike, we will be back! And we loved to have a little insight into students being trained, they are doing a great job already.
Only a few suggestions here. What would help is a towel hook next to the shower (the two available hooks are located next to the loo...) and a small make-up mirror on the left or right wall of the sink corner (I am tall, had to hang over the sink to see where I was putting mascara and while doing so was hanging in my light...). Last but not least: we opened a window at night but could not fix it (a hook or so is missing) so it rattled in the wind.

Zeer aardig personeel.

The hotel itself is an amazing marble of architecture. The area is very quiet. Averill very clean. We had good breakfast, the staff was very nice and friendly.
The room we had is a bit strange to me, it had no door to the bathroom (where is it ok to have your toilet with no door ?). There was no table in the room so if you want to sit at a table, no chance. Also a good addition would be one of those small fridges that one finds in a hotel.

We had a great experience! The hotel was in a very quiet location, just outside the city, easy to reach by bus (both from the central station and the city centre). Plenty of parking space and also bikes available to rent. We had the biggest suite with even an indoor sauna! The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was really good, it is served at the table and it is a great way to reduce food waste.
The students running the hotel were very welcoming and so polite and nice! They helped us get the best out of our booking!
Nothing - keep doing a great job!

Hotel staff was very professional and helpful. Location was good, they had electric car charging which was a must for me to continue my journey (only 2 out of 4 were operational though). The fact you could open the windows in the room was a welcome addition.
The room design was strange : Imagine it as a 2 layer design for the floor. Layer 1 is the original floor with pvc coating and on top is a metal platform but this metal platform only covers the area around the bed and the open bathroom. Several times i found myself bumping into the metal platform while walking on the pvc surface. Kinda dangerous.
Our room was number 25 which was the only one in the attic space. It was relatively hot (27 degrees outside) but there was no airco in the room only a fan...
The pvc floor was dirty.
The shower had limescale allover the glass.
No gluten or lactose free breakfast option, the hotel restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner.
Value : at 169 EUR a night i expected more...

Loved the building, loved the students - so enthusiastic. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Lovely room
Opening the room door which led directly into the loo. No door on the loo - open plan, strange design ??

The students were very attentive, welcoming and incredibly friendly. Their willing to make suggestions for local cuisine and sightseeing made our trip so much better.
The room was a bit small, but then again, I didn’t realize that each room was different. The room we had, felt like a college dorm room.

The setting and the staff were great
Open plan toilet, no door between the toilet and the rest of the room.
The breakfast was disappointing for the money, would not bother with that again.
Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed on the Sunday we arrived, didn't notice that when we booked, would have gone elsewhere
