Que en las áreas comunes se ve limpio… y las habitaciones son amplias

La habitación como tal no tenía buen olor… hay zancudos adentro de la habitación y el piso y cortinas un poco sucias…

Reef on the water lives up to the name.

Reef on the water is not at all misleading. This place is quite literally on the water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool and restaurant patio to enjoy breakfast and dinner as well as the gorgeous sunsets. Perfect if you want a reasonably priced stay on the water to tune out for a few days.

WiFi was pretty bad. It rarely worked by the pool and was spotty in the rooms and slow when it worked. Not a good place to do any remote work as I learned the hard way. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks is amazing, but completely drowned out by very loud music all day and into the night. I assume it was there for staff since all the guests when we were there wished it wasn’t playing, especially so loud. Not the greatest location if you don’t have a car and want to see something other than the hotel.

Beautiful hotel on the beachfront.

A very beautiful location right on the seashore. Great views from room. Beach is swimmable. Staff was good.

Internet non-existent. Poor breakfast and food quality in general. No alternatives for restaurant nearby. El Tuco is a 20 minute walk.

Beautiful views

The property sits right at the beachfront. The views are great. The beach is swimmable. The pool is wonderful and bar staff very friendly. Room was good size and bed comfortable.

The music in the bar was turned on 07:50 in the morning and turned off at night. It wasn't loud but it would be great to listen to the ocean and get a little peace and quiet. Food is at best average. Internet horrible.

Very bad service

The facilities were nice. Beautiful pool, good view and excellent a/c.

The worst hospitality I’ve ever experienced. The staff were beyond useless- it took 2 hours to get our entree even though we were the only ones at the restaurant. The following day it took our friends over an hour for them to get their lunch. All staff extremely unenthusiastic and rude (except the security guard). Told us aggressively we couldn’t check in until 3pm (that’s okay) however at 3.30pm they were STILL cleaning all the rooms and weren’t in a hurry even though the whole reception area was full of people waiting to check in. Showers were cold. Our door handle wouldn’t lock properly and they took a day to fix it. Property is also a 20min walk into town and not many restaurants near by. It’s a shame about the service because the facilities itself are nice.

경치가 좋고 수영장이 깨끗해요. 바로 아래 바다에서 아이들이 놀기 좋아요. 숙소는 작지만 깔끔해요. 평일이라 그런지 밤에 조용했어요.

들어가는 입구 두 곳 다 길이 고르지가 않아요. 간판있는 곳으로 내려가는게 수월합니다. 방음이 되지않아 아침에 직원들 말소리에 깼습니다.

Best ocean view and fair value

Really nice staff, amazing pool. They currently don't have a restaurant but the offer you delivery food from near restaurants. Rooms and the view are awesome. Pool illuminated to share at night.

Just to improve the stay, please add to the rooms coat hangers and a table or rack to put the luggage

A perfect short stay that felt luxurious with the infinity pool.

The outside area was located beautifully on the water with the pool to compliment it. The staff were friendly and the room with aircon was great.

It was a little out of the way. The food was average and sometimes the restaurant was closed but to ensure we still ate the staff went above and beyond getting us takeaway pizza. The bar cocktails weren’t very good.

Amazing view. It’s not in the very center of Surf city, it’s quiet at night. Friendly staff, you connect your phone to the TV

This stay has potential but not comfortable for what it is at the moment.

I liked the view and the ocean. The staff were friendly sly too, especially one of the security guards.

I did not like the room, it was dirty, bugs got in and out of the room easily, the back balcony wasn’t cleaned, the washroom smelled and was way too small, the a the mirror was small and dirty, the AC was dirty and dusty causing some of us to get sick. There was no food on sure and you had to order from a local restaurant. The check in process was also not organized or professional as I did not sign anything. We wanted to check out early when they told us it wasn’t part of the agreement to get our money back, an agreement we did not even sign off on. In the end, I was told I would get a refund which I did not.

Right on the beach, and private beach in a small bay. Beautiful view, great staff and atmosphere. Comfy beds.

Breakfast included is a bit minimalistic - coo of coffee, to dry toasts and cream cheese and a kids box of cereal. A little overwhelming. And no hot water in the shower. It is a bit if a walk to the nearest city, but overall a great place. Very cozy still despite this.

One night stay on the Pacific Ocean

The structure is nice, with a small infinity pool. There's no direct access to the reefs below. The staff is really wonderful, always smiling and kind. All areas are clean. There's no restaurant but the staff can help with food delivery orders while soft drinks are available.

Breakfast wasn't that rich, with no fresh products.

The best hotel for a comfortable price

OH. MY. GOODNESS! The location is heavenly. It's a perfect location for a romantic getaway with your significant other, specially for those on a tighter budget. You will love the view of the ocean and you will fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing against the rocks. We got an oceanside view on the upper floor which only made it better. The pool is small, but extremely cozy and it manages to stay warm even at night. There is nothing like watching the ocean from the edge of the pool and contemplating on the beauty of this corner of El Salvador. Guests are able to access the ocean when tide is low enough and we had a great time bathing in the Pacific! We really felt the energy of the water revitalize us and we did what couples usually do in beautiful places. I'll spare the details, but we might have to name the baby "Pacific Ocean". The room itself was quite large, well lit and with over a 180 degree view of the ocean and the hotel area. The bed was very comfortable and even with a 6'3'' height and a nice pillow fitting was no issue. At a 100 dollar price range, this is the best hotel to find.

We stayed in Reef On The Water on October 2022 and there was a big construction project on the property. We arrived on a Saturday so we avoided all construction noises and personnel, but it might be something to consider for a romantic or solo trip. Another thing to consider is food. The hotel has no kitchen and only continental breakfast are served, they are great. They serve a individual cereal box, milk, two slices of toasted bread, and cream cheese with coffee. The AC didn't work as efficiently, but it only meant waiting an hour to get a nice cold temperature. Our main issue with this location might have been the receptionist. The young staff member was fairly helpful and didn't try to be. Every question I made had a one answer response like yes or no. Could've been he was having a bad day, which is alright, but it made it difficult to ask for towels, the wifi password or anything else knowing the answer could very well be no. Also, they don't provide water so bring your own.

beautiful but lacking in details.

Hands down it was the view from my room. it was breathtaking.

The door latch to my room didn’t lock, the whole sense of security was left in the hands of the staff watching over your room. The wifi was none existent after a certain distance making it difficult to even work remotely. Don’t get me wrong theb room was beautiful but lacking care in certain details such as sheets. They were clean, but you can tell they were reused.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

Location was great, rooms were nice and to hear the ocean all night was such a pleasant experience. The pool was relaxing. Staff were very attentive and so nice. We will be back. They are renovation the restaurant area and will like to come back to enjoy the new amenities. Other reviews complained about lack of signs, but they had plenty of signs on the road and we didn’t have a problem finding the location.
