Bucksport is quite convenient for access to sights and activities on both sides of Penobscot Bay, Bangor, and Acadia. It also has several attractions itself which are worth spending a couple of days close to "home."
The house is set up comfortably. Be aware that you may have neighbors upstairs during your stay. If you're accustomed to apartment living, it'll be familiar.

House was situated just off main street and the river had beautiful views of Penobscot Narrows Observatory and Fort Knox, which you could see from the property. Plenty of driveway parking. Very nicely maintained first floor duplex in the heart of town. Perfect spot for those going up and down the coast. Would definitely go back!

Shower curtain liner was moldy. The air conditioner did not blow cold air. It was not in the window correctly. More fans should be provided. The dryer was disconnected. No pillow cases. We had to ask the people upstairs. Would be a great house if these issues were resolved.

Spacious peaceful getaway
We stayed here while biking the area: Verona Island, Blue Hill. Comfy beds, a complete kitchen, and cozy living room for evening lounging.

Beautiful home, beautiful location
This apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. It made a great central point for visiting Acadia and many of the coastal villages. We appreciated that it was all on one level other than about 6 porch steps.

An efficient stay
Corbel house is a lovely apartment located in Bucksport downtown. It is very close to the town ‘s Main Street, a few restaurants Hannaford, and Fort Knox and the observatory. Three of us had a very nice stay at the apartment. It was the perfect size, well arranged, and very accessible. It is a little far away from Acadia it takes an hour and a half depending on traffic. I would still recommend as a nice Maine town stay. :)

Senior Ladies Tour Maine
Property was as described. A couple of suggestions that would have improved our stay.
...A railing for the outside entrance.
...Ice trays for the fridge
...A courtesy supply of condiments for coffee
...The only mirror in unit was in the bathroom. Four women getting ready could have used an additional mirror somewhere in the unit.

Beautiful Home
This is a beautiful home in a quiet small town. It is a pretty drive to bar harbor and surrounding areas. Would stay again. Thank you!

Wonderful house and fantastic location.
The owners thought of everything to make our stay perfect! Beds were comfy. Decorating is wonderful. We were near the Riverfront walk and the cute downtown. We’ll be back - it was that great

Clean, quiet and comfy house
The Corbel House is in a very quiet neighborhood. We stayed one month and ate in many nights. The kitchen is pretty well equipped for long term stays and there is a gas range. This is an old house with all the quirks old homes have, but it has recently been renovated and was very comfortable. TV is not live but we plugged it in to my computer and were able to watch all my subscription online channels. Location is excellent for coastal explorations both up and down the coast. Less than 1 hour from Acadia and Schoodic Peninsula. Every time we made a request of the host it was fulfilled instantly. Owners live upstairs and were very friendly and respected our privacy. We would stay here again.
