Chalet BLANCHON is in the Oz en oisans ski resort (station de l'Olmet on a map) which is part of the Oz and Alpe d'Huez (FR) ski area, 250 km of ski runs between 2300 and 2800m altitude up to 3300m, managed by Semdoz in Oz en oisans. The Télécabines are 120m from the chalet via a path (access at snowplough level, access not groomed). Ski school 300m along this path through the forest or 700m along the road. Departure and arrival at the chalet possible on skis.
The ESF offers group lessons depending on your arrival dates.
The distances are short, there are no buses or cars in the resort centre for greater safety and less pollution.

Chalet BLANCHON has been awarded 3 Clevacances.
Each room has its own bathroom and toilet and is locked with its own key. No space shared with other holidaymakers (even the ski room). The original village and town hall are 2.2km away.
Semdoz and the commune of Oz en Oisans (Isère department) welcome you to Oz en Oisans.The cable car departures for the Oz en Oisans/Alpe d'Huez ski area are at Oz en Oisans resort.
In the resort: restaurants, bars, ski hire, food shops (bakery, butcher's, cheese and delicatessen), launderette, ESF and nursery. Toboggan runs. Entertainment during the holidays. Indoor swimming pool in a centrally-located residence.
The resort of Oz en Oisans is served by direct bus from Grenoble station.
At the foot of the slopes, the BLANCHON chalet is very spacious (for 21 people, see also advert 6643292 or 10442349). Chalet BLANCHON: 6 bedrooms for 2 people (2 single beds that can be separated or put together to make a double bed) with bathroom and toilet in each bedroom; in two of the bedrooms there is a mountain area with a bunk bed (separated by a door). 2 bedrooms have balconies.

For 21 people: 5 extra beds are provided: 2 extra beds in each room + 2 single beds + 1 bunk bed = 6 beds in each room (x 2 = 12 beds in 2 rooms) and 1 bed in another room (3 beds instead of 2).

Chalet BLANCHON is located 120 metres from the departure of the cable car to the top of the Domaine. 2 cable car departures from Oz en Oisans to reach the slopes and the Alpe d'Huez ski area.Descent to the centre of the resort via the pistes.

Access (return) to the chalet area is via a piste (blue piste). The gondolas depart downhill from the chalet door. The Alpe d'Huez and Oz-Vaujany ski areas are linked.
The ski area (Oz-Vaujany and Alpe d'Huez) is equipped with artificial snow cannons.
2 ski passes to choose from (Oz Vaujany or Domaine Oz Vaujany with Alpe d'Huez).
Ski passes can be purchased at skipass Alpe d'Huez.

In addition to hiking there is a tennis court next to the chalets. Indoor climbing: Bouldering room. In the village hall: badminton and table tennis.

2 Télécabines depart from Oz en Oisans to take you effortlessly up to the high plateaux between 1750 and 2800m and enjoy an exceptional panorama (Pic Blanc 3300) over the Belledonnes and the Grandes Rousses as well as numerous lakes.
Whether you're a pedestrian or a mountain biker, these facilities provide access to a range of specialised trails reserved for your activity. You can ride your mountain bike down to the resort on the pistes (red to black level) or hike at all levels.
At altitude, there are several lakes and a number of mountain bike trails, including the downhill track for the French Cup and French Championships, both cross-country and DH, cycling with the annual Marmotte race at the end of June, which attracts almost 7,000 participants, and the Alpe d'Huez climb during the Tour de France, or for those who like the challenge of vertical drops.
Examples of hikes (almost 900 km of signposted routes):
Le Pré de la Pierre: a short forest walk in the form of a loop taking less than an hour and a half.
Les hameaux d'Oz en Oisans: forest hike forming a loop to discover the local heritage.
Lac Besson: a challenging loop hike to discover the Lac Noir, Lac Besson, Lac Faucille and Lac Carrelet (1h to 1h30). Take the Poutran cable car for a shorter, easier hike.
Discover: the ferruginous spring, the mountain hamlets, the waterfalls, canyoning in the Oz stream (with guides), the leisure park in the forest with over 300 m of zip lines and numerous tree courses, various activities on the Grandes Rousses mountain range and a programme of events organised by the tourist office.
L'ascenseur valléen (cable cars departing from OZ, round trip) to Allemond for a walk in Allemond, greenway along the Romanche river, the Eau d'Olle or the Lac du Verney (windsurfing, paddle or pedalo). Outdoor swimming pool in the village of Allemond a 20-minute drive away. Restaurants: La Cure (in the village of Oz), l'Enversin (L'Enversin d'Oz), la guinguette (Lac du Verney lake at the Allemond dam).
In case of bad weather or for relaxation: the resort's swimming pool (whirlpool baths, swan necks, waterbeds, hammam and sauna). You can also borrow equipment for badminton, rock climbing on your own or supervised by the guides at the climbing gym, tennis, mini-golf or a swing for the little ones to enjoy.Last but not least, there's the day nursery (from 6 months to 6 years).

Ski lifts, shops and restaurants in the resort are closed.Shops (including a bakery) and restaurants are 15 minutes away in Allemond.
During this period, the Semdoz and tourist office are open in Oz en Oisans except on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.For a stay including 1 May, 8 May, Ascension or Pentecost: Arrival on a weekday: our reception is open (otherwise independent entry by key box).
