About this apartment rental
Dog-friendly Vail studio condo centrally located in the heart of Lionshead Village, nearly ski-in/ski-out access to Vail Mountain as you are just one block from Vail Mountain's Eagle Bahn Gondola. Soak in the Vail Mountain and Village views from your balcony while enjoying a cup of coffee or happy hour before stepping out the door to all the skiing, shopping, restaurants and entertainment Lionshead and Vail have to offer. Lift House is on the Town of Vail free bus line to easily access Vail Village.
Dogs are welcome at Lift House Lodge for an additional fee of $35 per night, per dog. There is a limit of 2 dogs per unit, per night.. Please ask for pet friendly unit availability.
Inside your studio is a queen size bed and 1 full bathroom. A kitchenette that is equipped with a half-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The living space boasts a queen sofa sleeper, gas fireplace, TV and balcony.

LIFT HOUSE PARKING: Limited parking is available first-come, first-served at $50 per night in the winter, and $25 per night non-winter. If our lot is full, the public Lionshead garage is $60/day in the winter, and $35/day in the summer.

Great location. Literally steps to the gondola. Condo is older but well maintained on an elevator building. Bed area separated from living room by a wall unit of shelves and cabinets. Nicely appointed. Loved the bed.

Everything was excellent and you couldn't ask for a better location.
4.5
Great location! Good price for the being right in the village. Room is feeling it's age and needs to be updated. The bed was like a ROCK, very uncomfortable. The gas fireplace was nice.
4.5
Very convenient, close to ski lifts, walk to restaurants.
Rudimentary kitchen, with utensils that saw better days.
OK for two guys on a ski trip.

Guest services to our room were all 5 star ratings.

Although the location of this property is great (overlooking the Lions Head Village Square), the unit itself left much to be desired. The first thing we noticed when we walked into to condo was that the sliding glass door to the balcony was left ajar. Once we entered into the small kitchenette, we knew why! The smell was terrible. Housekeeping must have left the door open to air out the condo. We summarized that the smell was coming from the garbage disposal. We repeatedly put baking soda down the disposal, turned it on, ran water, etc., but the smell never went away. Furthermore, although we found the unit relatively clean, the fixtures were extremely dated - the commode, shower and bathroom sink area were a throwback to the 1970s. In the shower/commode area, the fan/light was not installed properly and was hanging out of the ceiling with a big gap. Finally, my husband and I agreed that the bed was the most uncomfortable one we had ever slept on in a VRBO rental. Other things to consider were that the balcony for this unit directly overlooks the Lions Head Village playground. We didn’t mind it, but if you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the balcony, you might think again. And the unit had no air conditioning- just an oscillating fan that we aimed directly at our bed at night. We were there over Labor Day weekend when it was somewhat warm during the day and cool at night, but I can’t imagine staying there in the heat of the summer. We would not stay here again!

I have been coming to Summer Vail for close to 40 years (Before anyone else discovered how good it is and before a lot of the restaurants stayed open in the summer. Have missed maybe 4 or 5 years in that time

We absolutely loved the location! Everything was great and will definitely be back!
4.5
Great location near the gondola and restaurants.
4.5
I liked the location so close to Gondola and ski school for kids. Right in front of the Arabelle.
It is a little run down and very loud due to thin walls and roof
No oven just a little microwave and mini fridge.
Did not receive upgrade or any treat for my Expedia status ☹️

Can’t beat the location of this unit. Was slightly small in square footage for our family of four due to large age discrepancy of our kids. Unit was clean and comfortable. Sofa bed was memory foam and was better than average. Nice surprise that the kitchen had a small range/oven combo. We did not have a vehicle but parking would have been expensive and not covered.

This was close to the gondola in lionshead and connected to shops and restuarants in the heart of lIonshead. GREAT location for this quaint place.

Great location. Clean room. Could use an update.
4.5
The property was nearly empty due to the off season, so it was nice to not have a crowded location.

Location is great…
We are not sure if we missed it in the listing but there is no A/C. The location is great and there were some really nice touches like the beverages, snacks, sunscreen, etc. in the lobby. The place really needs to be updated. Not sure if they were moving in that direction but they were doing work on the first floor so the exit to lions head village was closed. That was inconvenient for sure but not impossible. I would consider staying again but only if all rooms updated.

I wish I would have read the description closer because there is no air conditioning in this unit and it was in the 80s when we stayed and it was really hot and uncomfortable for sleeping. There was a fan provided but all it really did was blow around the warm air.
The room was clean and the location is amazing. I feel like the price was too high for this unit. The furniture is very dated but in good shape. It was good for our weekend getaway but I would not stay here again in the summer.

Lifthouse Lodge is in a great location, However, the place is just old and run down. The full bed was smaller then expected, tight for two. The pull out couch is good for one. Met two staff members. The guy was cold and short, and the girl was super nice and helpful. Overall, I would suggest spending a bit more money for an upgraded rental. Good luck!

The queen bed and the couch and couch bed are uncomfortable. I came home after day 2 because I wasn't getting enough sleep.
Also, you have a neighbor with two chow looking dogs who let their dogs run the hall way dragging the leash. This neighbor let her dogs aggressively bark at mine. Those chow-type dogs came to the threshold, and it was only me preventing them from coming into the unit after my dog (inside the unit, as I was leashing it for a break). She was rude and had the nerve to say that she's a resident as if that justified her dogs scaring me in the unit, thinking they were going to come in and attack. It all happened fast, they are an issue, and should never come over the threshold of your unit like that, and shouldn't aggressively bark at other dogs in their unit.
Very frustrated with this stay, this is my third in Vail, as I live in Denver and ski. I won't be back.

quality of space is above average and nice, but not fully up to date (i.e. stove, etc.), small counter space in kitchen, no TV in bedroom portion and small TV in Living area. To bring in luggage have to go up stairs. Great location and good service.
