Great communication and the host representative, Hasan, was the best feature! He explained everything in broken English, which was far better than my nonexistent German or Turkish. We 2 guests got exactly 2 small towels. 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen. 3 rolls of toilet paper. The blow dryer cord was damaged and it kept cutting in and out. The clothes washer worked fine, the dryer did not work at all. It warmed the clothes I ended up hanging them up and they were dry after two days, but this was one of the features that I need at the apartment for very disappointing. There are many stairs up, it’s on the fourth floor, if you are old or have mobility issues, absolutely take this into consideration, it appears someone tried to push the bathroom window open in the middle of the night during our first night there. I woke up to a freezing bathroom and then started seeing things and realized there were 3 to 4, stinging insects, large, flying around . Hasan came right over! He said the window was open. I had not opened it and it was not open the night before. You can get directly onto the porch of this apartment from the ground floor. Distressing. Everything was clean and usable, but bare-bones, and the furniture was not comfortable to sit on. The location was good and close to restaurants, Hasan and the cleanliness were the biggest factors for the rating. Really bare minimum as far as an apartment goes, but we had very little choice b/c we booked late for Xmas markets.

This met our needs perfectly! Quiet neighborhood, lots of restaurants nearby, comfortable beds, and right next to a tram station. And two grocery stores nearby! We would definitely stay here again.

Alles in allem eine gute Wohnung. Für Familien mit 2 Kindern gut geeignet. Es wären noch mehr Schlafplätze da, aber dann wird's eng. Lage gut, dank sehr nah gelegener Straßenbahn auch in 15 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Sehr netter und informativer Check-Inn mit vielen Köln-Tipps.

2 bedroom, 1 bath (tub/shower) can sleep 6. 4th floor, no elevator. Great location, easy parking. Convenient to grocery, pharmacy, and restaurants. Not a touristy area. Tram stop in front of the apartment, but we rented a car as our trip was 3 generations (my elderly parents, me and my teenagers). Great access to beautiful parks to run/cycle in. Unbelievable. Apartment was very clean and rental was easy. Kitchen is very tiny, with a small frig, stove top and an oven that i couldn't figure out how to work. No microwave, but with a coffee maker. Not a kitchen to cook in, but great for breakfast. We came during this great heat wave and the apartment was not air conditioned (nothing really is in Germany) so it was pretty hot. A fan or two would have been nice. Kamila the owner was very responsive if we had any concerns. The only complaint we had was that there was no internet access. Kamila said that it was broken and a technician was coming to fix it, but it never worked. Kamila was gracious enough to buy us a local sim card to get access that way, but we were able to get some access through our phones. I would just confirm that it is fixed before renting. Otherwise, as advertised and a great value.

1st time in Cologne and loved the quaintness of it. The apartment was homey and in a location a short taxi ride away from the old town. Honeger's was a fabulous restaurant a few blocks away from the apartment. Anci at that restaurant was very hospitable and told us what we needed to experience while in Town. She suggested a fabulous brewery and history tour called The Kolsch Guys. What a unique and enjoyable way to take in a new town.

Clean, nice in a safe neighborhood, very near transportation. Arrived much later then anticipated and was greeted by a friendly gent that spoke broken English. Would recommend this home way from home.

Six of us shared the flat for a weekend in August 2016. The flat is directly next to the Cologne Fortuna stadium in Cologne Zollstock (very good for football supporters) and is about 100 metres from the S-Bahn stop, which was really practical. We had flat number 1, which was clean and had everything you would expect from a weekend holiday rental. The only small drawback was its location on the fourth floor (no lift available), which was a problem for one of our ladies who is not too good on her feet. Otherwise fine and good as a base for discovering Cologne.

We could easily walk to the grocery and get onto public transportation to take to the center of Cologne. We are a family of six from America and were very comfortable in this apartment. Thank you

Booking was excellent: the owner was very prompt and helpful. Full instructions provided, and everything was as promised. The check-in/check-out was both welcoming and efficient. The flat - up four flights of stairs - was very clean. Wifi, heating and kitchen equipment all worked perfectly. The flat was quiet despite its proximity to railway lines, although it might get noisy if there is a match at the next-door stadium! Easy to access all of Cologne using the tram system, and under 20 minutes' walk to the University. I would definitely return here and strongly recommend it.

I stayed there 2 nights with 4 other people, the place is clean, spacious and well located. Check in and out went very smoothly. My only disappointment was the internet connection, way to slow to be functional. (it took us 5 min to load any web page). Appart from that, I would definitely recommande this appartement!

I know that if I stayed only for 2 nights I can't judge completely the neighborhood. But in my humble opinion the neighborhood is not the best. The first night we saw a fight just in front of our building. The second night a couple of guys passed by the street screaming and hitting the cars that were parked. In the other hand, it is pretty close to the city center, 5 min. by car. About the building, it is old and the external part is not well maintained. That gives you a bad feeling when you arrive. The buildings next door are from the same time and look better. Finally, about the apartment. It is a very nice place, fully furnished and equipped. 7 people can sleep comfortably. The heating was perfect and the internet pretty good. The cleaning was ok in general (except under the furniture). In general I think that it is a good place to stay for the price that they ask. PD: the lady that gives you the keys it is very nice but she doesn't speak a very fluent english so it would be easy if you speak german.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped 2 bedroom apartment. The owner and his family were super helpful from the booking stage through to departure, and we would recommend this apartment 100%. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and living area. Kitchen small but well equipped and totally fine for a short break. Lidl and Real supermarkets 5-10 minutes walk, as were a few local shops, cafe, takeaway pizza. Tram station 1 minute walk away and getting into town very easy and quick once you got the hang of the different lines. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Cologne. One note of caution for the less able, the flat is on the 3rd floor and access is only by a staircase.... no lift. Fine for our group but worth mentioning if you are less able. We stayed in this apartment for one night while we were in Köln. It was very spacious and well maintained. The apartment isn't in the city center, but th tram stop is steps away so it simple to get anywhere you want. The people renting the apartment are great to deal with and I would highly recommend this apartment.

We took our family to Cologne for our son's wedding so we were looking for an alternative to hotel rooms close to the Wolkenburg. The apartments were modern and clean as advertised. However, we did have to compromise some comfort. The weather was very hot during our stay. Air conditioning is not common in Cologne, but it would have been nice to at least have a couple of fans. The street noise is definitely an issue if you have to open the bedroom windows at night. The train isn't really as noisy as the truck and motorcycle traffic, which was extremely loud and active until the early am hours. I actually had to sleep on the couch in the living room one night because it was too hot to close the window and too noisy to leave it open. We rented both apartments for our group and what is not noted is that the two apartments are in two separate buildings! We realized that we would have to walk up four floors, but thought that both apartments were adjacent to one another. Not so. You have to go down four floors, go outside to the next building, and back up four floors to go between apartments. If not for these issues, we would have really enjoyed staying in these apartments. They are well equipped. The owner does provide good customer service. If you are looking for good, clean, modern economical alternative to hotel rooms and it is not during the hot summer days, I would recommend these apartments. To the owner, I would recommend to purchase a few fans for summertime rentals. It would have made a huge difference in our comfort.

We took our Family Holiday in Cologne and we booked both of the apartments advertised for our stay. The correspondence with the Owner by email was brilliant from the moment we booked and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. We were met by the owner's Mother on our arrival and was shown around both apartments and she explained everything and answered any questions we had. Both apartments are very clean and well stocked with all you need for a self catering holiday. There are plenty of supermarkets close by (5 min walk) for all your needs and a Tram stop opposite for when you go into the centre of Cologne, if you dont fancy the walk (30 mins), although we did both. We would highly recommend either of these apartments if you are thinking of visiting Cologne and only have good things to say about our stay. We would like to express our many thanks to the owner and his Mother for making our stay a trouble free and very enjoyable experience. We will definately stay here again on our next visit to the beautiful city of Cologne. Herzlichen Dank, The Family.

We (5 adults) had a fantastic stay at the apartment. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival and as mentioned by previous comments, the tram is just steps away. Our stay was in winter so we had no issues with the noise from the trams. I would definitely recommend the apartment to future travellers

My husband, 17 year old son, and myself loved this apartment. We had another son in Mungersdorf, staying at the Sports University. We travelled back and forth from an indoor skatepark (for my 17 year old) to the university daily and found this to be a great central location. The parking is amazing - easy to park in a city that has few spaces. The tram was right outside the door but we needed a car. There is a grocery store a few blocks away and a SUPER Pizza place just down the road. The apartment is lovely, just as represented. The owner's mom was there when we arrived, she was very nice and left us an immaculate apartment. We felt safe and comfortable. Great place to stay and explore Cologne!!!!!!

This was a wonderful apartment to get our bearings in Germany. We came to visit the Christmas Markets in the area and were not disappointed. We were close to the tram, so we could head into Cologne's many markets in city center. We enjoyed the park that is behind the apartment, during the first snow. The apartment had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. The owners made sure that we had all of the information that we needed to get around town. They were also very accommodating to our schedule (thanks!). I would definitely like to come back here again. And, if anyone is in the area, please be sure to send me as many slices as you can of the bienenstich from Merzenich bakery! YUMMMMMMmmmmmm!!!!

Advantages: inexpensive, 2 bedrooms, near street car stop, near grocery store, in residential area so you experience life as a resident, not as a tourist Disadvantages: the street car runs all night. The bedrooms face the street so you hear the street car if the windows are open. The unit does not have air conditioning so in the summer you will open the windows. 4th floor in Europe = 5th floor in USA Problems which can be corrected: no telephone so you need a mobile phone for emergencies, needs anti-skid pad for bathtub, needs to print instructions on how to turn on TV, replace polyester towels with cotton ones

The apartment was completely as described. It accommodated 2 adults and 3 teenagers with no problem. It was very easy to reach by tram/train from the airport, with a tram stop only a few metres away. Travel into the city centre is easy, and very cheap by tram. It is also possible to walk without much difficulty. There are local supermarkets and pizzerias, so food/shopping is quite convenient. We had no issues/complaints.

Wir haben uns die Tage in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefüllt. Die Wohnung ist ruhig. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, dass man ohne Problem kochen kann. Einkaufsmöglichkeit um die Ecke. Egal mit Straßenbahn oder mit Auto kommt man schnell in die Stadt.

wir waren sehr zufrieden, sehr zentral gelegen-wenn man mag, kann man 20 min in die Stadt laufen, ansonsten super-Anbindung der Strassenbahn.Lebensmittelladen,Bäcker,Kiosk etc. alles um die Ecke-sehr praktisch.Kleiner Nachteil mit Kleinkind sind die vielen Stufen zur Wohnung und die Unterbringung des Kinderwagens. Aber sonst waren es gelungene schöne Tage,die Wohnung ist zu empfehlen.
