This newly-built and delightfully-furnished cabin in a private community is centrally located in Jackson County offering easy access to many local attractions and communities. Inside your air-conditioned space, you'll find a soaring cathedral ceiling, a full, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a table for six, and a comfortable living area with a gas fireplace (October to March), a flatscreen TV, a washer/dryer, and sliding door access out to the furnished deck. This was a lovely house with beautiful views of the river and a gorgeous screen room that was the equivalent of another dining room, living room, and sitting area. Access and directions were easy to follow and it’s very close to charming little, downtown Sylva and right next door to Western Carolina University, but still very private. Nice, private neighborhood and beautiful new build surrounding houses. The only reason the home didn’t get a 5 was because when we went to use the fireplace, it didn’t work. It also didn’t have any daily use kitchen items like oil, sugar, spices and whatnot which I’ve never been in a rental that didn’t have those sorts or things so I’m not sure if I’ve just been lucky or if these things are not the norm. Overall, I would stay here again, clean, neat, and cleaning supplies and some limited toiletries were provided.

This is such a wonderful base camp for exploring the Appalachian side of the state. Restaurant are good in Sylva and Dillsboro. Mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee are the best!!!

Great outdoor living space on the screened in porch overlooking the river. Quiet neighborhood that feels secluded. The house is very well suited to accommodating several adults, but the bunk beds are quite tightly packed and may not be comfortable for some.

We took a weekend trip to visit WNC for my son. This was a great choice as the house is near the school and offered outdoor recreation for my family. The house is beautiful and sits right on the water. We did not encounter any issues and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Totally enjoyed our stay. Visiting our son at the university. Great location for that. Loved the river view

The house is well appointed with everything you need. We found the bed very comfortable and loved sitting on the poach drinking coffee in the morning or wine in the evening listening to the river and frogs. Highly recommend this house for a couple. We didn't have our kids with us though there is a good chance they would have loved the bunk beds.

Home away from home
The property is well maintained with plenty of modern appliances and entertainment devices. Walking in we immediately felt welcomed. The view and location were prefect. The only downside was the spring mattress made it hard to sleep comfortably through the night. Aside from that, our stay was wonderful and the recharge we were looking for.

Fabulous
The pictures of this house and property don't do it justice!! The outside is so cute and well maintained but the inside is quaint, clean and inviting. It was small but for 3 people it was all we needed. The porch is the best part. The porch overlooks the Tuckaseegee and to sit out there and play games and talk and laugh and hear the rolling water was just what we needed for relaxation!! We all hated to leave!!!

Work/vacation trip
Very lovely place. Not too difficult to find. It was actually a relaxing work trip. The sound of the river and the back porch was a delight.
Only strange thing was all the cameras. We are therapists so we were analyzing how the cameras actually induce fear instead of safety. That had a prison feel. I know ppl in the states love their house cameras but we are seeing in our research in trauma that it actually dysregulates your nervous system.

Very nice place
This place was everything we could have asked for. It was super clean and very well decorated. We did have one problem and would make one suggestion... to help get the best night's sleep would be to remove the motion light detector. Every time I turned around or moved at all, it would come on. I had to sleep in the bunk beds to keep from waking up my husband. I felt I was held captive by the motion light. We had to change the position of the motion detectors in order to sleep the next night but moved it back before leaving the place.

Very nice and relaxing
We had a quiet and peaceful stay by the river. Nice quiet development on the river. The place was very clean and check in was a snap. Close to a lot in the area but feels like you got away from it all. Looking forward to another visit.

close to campus
As advertised, clean and new space. 2nd BR is super intimate (=small), basically just the bunk beds and space to turn around. Loved all the little touches,,, games, local guides/books, etc. Awesome porch, fire pit, grill, and so on. Quiet spot in new neighborhood, very close to campus at WCU. Property has some sort of 3rd party management company that requires extra communication, hence the lower rating on that field. There is new construction right next door that appears to be starting soon.

Only10 minutes from our 3 day course
Well stocked, fireplace, fire pit and small grill were much appreciated. Extra clean, kitchen well supplied. Parking is tiny and a problem for two large overland equipped vehicles, but since the house is the last one on the street, our tailgate clearance didn’t get complaints. Really closer to the river and cool privacy for now. Be aware that the lot nestled next to you is being cleared for construction which’s will not be pleasant in the least.

Perfect Graduation Weekend
We loved the little house on the river! We will certainly be back to visit Cullowhee and the surrounding area and will stay again. The house was absolutely perfect! The kitchen was stocked with every item needed for cooking and enjoying each meal. There was plenty of room for everyone. Best of all the place felt as if it was brand new - the house was spotless.

Loved the house. The second bedroom is a bit small but it was fine. The sofa bed helped. Quiet community. Very peaceful. 5 stars without question. Thank you

Awesome stay in the Whee
We visited our daughter at WCU. Beautiful setting for fishing, sitting by the camp fire, eocking listening to the roar of the Tuck. Cleanest, most well-stocked, and cutest cabin! Would definitely stay here again!!

Being on the river was a peaceful experience.
The house was smaller than expected however was as described. The kitchen was well stocked for any cooking or baking you might want to do. It was wonderful for two but you would have to be very close with anyone staying with you as there is no privacy. The only complaint was the motion detectors and cameras in the main room and the bedroom. The camera and detector faced right at the bed. The motion detector emitted a green florescent light every time there was motion so all night long it would go on and off. It was really creepy and I doubt we would have stayed however there was a ladder in the house so I was able to cover both in the bedroom and the camera in the kitchen which cover the whole main room. The information book stated there were only detectors and cameras on the exterior that were not monitored but saved recordings in the cloud. Obviously that they were only outside was incorrect.

Peaceful river and cozy atmosphere.
This cottage is so tastefully decorated. The host thought of EVERYTHING to make this rental accommodating; probably the most detailed/stocked vacation rental I have ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable, and the house was very clean.

The house is beautiful!!
The house was made very well. It's a beautiful house. The decorations are amazing. The bed and other furniture is very comfortable. There is a sound system, great TVs, nice appliances. It is also very secluded from other houses and right on the river. The porch was wonderful!! I wish I could have stayed longer!! It was the perfect Valentine's getaway. The only issue I had was the road on the other side of the river but there wasn't much traffic. I would love to stay there again.
