I travelled with my husband, daughter and three teenage grandchildren. There was plenty of room for all of us. Communication with the host was quick and easy. She even let us know when the property was ready and we could check in early. The property was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. We would definitely stay here again

The home was very nice and had lots of amenities that we loved! 2 things we didn't care for - the too early check out time (10:00am). Since we couldn't check in until about 4:00, it just seems really short. Most places are at least 11:00 or 12:00 checkout. Also, the rooms that had the trundle beds were Very small and we had to move furniture around ourselves in order to get the trundles out. Renters should not have to move furniture so rooms are usable. Perhaps those rooms can be reconfigured to make it easier to pull out trundles. In any case, the rooms are very small to have the bed and trundle in them and you essentially have to walk over/on the trundle to get out of rooms. The owner was Very accomodating and responsive to all inqueries and the home is lovely.

Learned about the Chicago Fair houses in a class I took at Lourdes University recently and was so excited to see them and have a little vacation at the same time. I literally spent hours on the internet researching how we could see them. I asked at least 6 different people at the visitor centers, park visitors centers, VRBO owners. Couldn’t find anything!!! I don’t know if people are trying to protect the homes from people roaming the neighborhood or if people who live there really just don’t know anything about them. We did finally find them, and they did not disappoint. After visiting there, we went to the Depot, a small art gallery/museum. It was packed full of information about the houses and the fair!! Good place to start if you’re interested in seeing the houses. Our VRBO was close to everything we wanted to see. It had a beautiful porch for game playing and a cozy tv area for watching a Halloween movie each night. I would recommend this VRBO for a fun vacation!!

Dark arrival. Missed the keypad because it’s dark too lol Plenty of room for all. Beds all great! Used one of the Trundle (grey) also very cozy! Plenty of blankets and seating for all. Deck was great for nature, eating, and coffee. Deer every morning. Convenient to Lake Michigan. Nice quiet area. Kids loved bikes! Would stay again for sure. Candles would help closed up scent go away quicker.

We had a wonderful time! We were a group of 8 adulta and we wanted a weekend getway from the city. At about just over an hour away from chicago it offered the calm and quiet we need to relax. The host offered everything you could need. We used the bikes located in the shed and road all the way to the nearest beach! This was a memorable trip and we def recommend this for everyone including families with young children! We loved the fire pit. The only thing i would recommend is extending the lights from the back porch to the trees near and around the fire pit. Other than that the house was perfect!

We loved the “cabin” as my grandsons called it :) It was perfect for our needs. The extra touches - games, bikes and beach chairs were great! Laura was very responsive to our questions and very helpful with suggestions of things to do. Very family friendly area with two play areas near by. We highly recommend this home.

We had a fabulous week staying in Laura’s house. We spent most of our time on the wonderful screened in porch. It’s so peaceful out there; just listening to the birds and watching for deer. Plenty of towels, chairs, etc… for the beach. Beach is about a 12-13 minute walk from the house. House was very clean and just as it looks in the pictures. Would definitely rent from Laura again. Thanks for a great week!

We had a fantastic time here - it was the perfect setting for a girls weekend getaway. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and down by the fire pit. The walk to the beach was beautiful and we enjoyed riding the bikes around the quiet neighborhood. The house was very well-stocked for cooking all of our meals. We will definitely be coming back again!

Great place for a family vacation
Our family (6 of us) had a great time here. It truly is retreat-like. Cozy and private and has everything you need. We enjoyed the lake, biking, walking, playing games indoors and out. Laura was excellent to work with through the whole process. We plan on visiting again with friends--we want to show them the place and the area! Thanks Laura!

Perfectly cozy space for our girls weekend!
Some girlfriends and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway! The house was so cute and was well-maintained. We had plenty of space for the 6 of us to hang out, and we were appreciative that there was a list of things to do locally and good places to eat nearby! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Great winter getaway
Can’t say enough great things about this house. The house is situated on a stunning rivate lot. The lake was a short walk through a gorgeous wooded neighborhood. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The decor was stylish and updated but still maintained the cottage feel. We enjoyed the views out the windows, watching movies, playing games and reading beside the fireplace. Wonderful time had by all!

Perfect for a Quick Family Getaway
The house was clean and in a great location for going to the beach or the local wineries. The backyard is very cool and perfect for just hanging out and relaxing. We really enjoyed our short stay.

We’ll be back again!
My family of 6 (kids ages 7, 5, 3, and almost 1) had a blast at this house. Due to Covid we wanted to go somewhere that we could hang out at the house and find outdoor activities in the fall that didn’t involve being around many people, and this house was perfect! The kids loved playing in the yard and the 2 nearby parks. We had bonfires at night, and drove to the dunes, botanical garden, zoo, pony rides, restaurants, and beach during the days. I enjoyed running through the hilly wooded neighborhood, and my husband even played pickle ball with other people in the neighborhood at the park. The kids loved seeing deer in the yard every day. We would definitely recommend taking kids or anyone to the botanical garden that is a few minutes drive away. They had a great children’s play area, and if you have a membership at a garden elsewhere (tons of them have reciprocal memberships) then you can even fish there too. The house was so cute and clean. It was also safe for our little guy to crawl around since there weren’t any stairs, and there was plenty of room for our pack n play in the master bedroom. We will be back again and the kids can’t wait!

We had the best time! The pictures online do not do the place justice! Laura was a kind host and quickly replied to any questions I had. It was clean, plenty of space to spread out, and had all of comforts of home! The setting is serene and quiet with mature trees. We have young children and they enjoyed walking in circles on the garden path, s’mores at the bonfire, seeing horses and deer in the backyard, and the two nearby parks! The stop 50 pizza was some of the best we had but recommend to order ahead. The first night we tried to order takeout at 5pm and they said they were not going to be ready until 8pm! So the next day we called right when they opened For 5pm takeout and no issues :) We took advantage of the stables nearby for a pony ride and also went blueberry picking! It seems as thought the stop 37 beach access was closed for the summer so we went to the beach in New Buffalo. Truly a great location, so much to do close by! The extra large back porch was great for an afternoon nap or breakfast at the table. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen with a large island and everything you need. We were very comfortable and plan to return next year!
