About this house rental
Awarded “UK Holiday Home of the Year” in 2022, welcome to Cedar Lodge. Nestled within large, enclosed grounds of approximately 1 acre, Cedar Lodge offers a peaceful, private country retreat. Conveniently located just 2 miles from the A55 and the coast, it provides easy access to the seaside towns of Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, and Conwy, making it an ideal base for exploring North Wales. Set in a delightful, elevated position, this luxury detached property is designed to take full advantage of uninterrupted views across open countryside to the Carneddau mountain range (part of Snowdonia), extending to the coast, with Puffin Island and the Isle of Anglesey taking centre stage. The glorious views also include both the Great Orme and Little Orme in Llandudno. Situated at the end of a quiet private cul-de-sac, yet only a 10-minute walk (half a mile) from the nearest pub and convenience store, and less than 2 miles from the beach, Cedar Lodge is the perfect location for your family getaway. There is plenty to do all year round, and in the warmer months, you can enjoy the private heated outdoor swimming pool.
Cedar Lodge is perfectly suited either as a base at the heart of the North Wales holiday region or as a secluded getaway where you can enjoy top-notch facilities while maintaining complete privacy. From every room, you can enjoy breath-taking views that let you escape from it all.
Accommodating up to 12 guests, Cedar Lodge is a popular choice for families and friends gathering for summer holidays or short breaks. It’s an excellent venue for special occasions and is ideal for multi-generational gatherings, with plenty to entertain visitors of all ages. Guests can enjoy the state-of-the-art cinema room, featuring an 86-inch screen, cinema-quality surround sound, and fully reclining cinema chairs for watching Netflix in full 4K resolution. Children will love the Xbox One X games console, while guests of all ages can enjoy the pool table, large, enclosed gardens, and private heated outdoor swimming pool.
The outdoor heated pool (available from 1st May to the end of September) is a standout feature. Completely private and offering stunning views, the pool is a major attraction for all ages. It’s perfect for games and relaxation, especially for children, and has powerful swim jets for those who want to “swim against the current.” The pool area includes comfortable loungers, a large double hammock, and a Polynesian-themed Tiki Bar, ideal for preparing poolside cocktails.
The property features 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one en-suite), 2 cloakrooms with WC, a large, well-equipped kitchen, a dining room that comfortably seats 12, a spacious living room, and a beautiful conservatory with panoramic views. There is private parking for up to 5 vehicles, large lawns, patios, and a vast decked balcony with stunning views. All bedrooms offer magnificent countryside and distant sea views. The master bedroom is particularly impressive, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious marble-floored dressing room, and a double-sized bath with a large integrated bathroom TV, complete with Netflix.
Bedroom layout:
• Bedroom 1: Zip & link beds (king or two singles)
• Bedroom 2: Double bed
• Bedroom 3: Double bed
• Bedroom 4: King bed

The living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views, is furnished with large, comfy sofas, a log burner, and soft lighting via table lamps and a dimmer switch. It includes a large TV with Sky TV and Netflix. Double doors lead to the dining room, which seats 12 and opens onto a massive two-tiered balcony. Outdoor dining and lounge seating are available for the entire household, along with a large gas barbecue for al fresco dining. A highchair is also available.
A stunning conservatory leads off the living room, overlooking the pool and offering superb country and coastal views. It also connects to the large balcony and serves as a peaceful retreat with comfy sofas.

Fast Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, allowing you to stream movies or work remotely if needed.
Locally, there’s plenty to do, including countryside walks from the house and visits to the nearby Welsh Mountain Zoo. A short drive brings you to beautiful beaches, castles, National Trust properties, gardens, outdoor adventure activities, fishing, sailing, golf, and more. For dining, we highly recommend Bryn Williams' restaurant at Porth Eirias and the Pen-y-Bryn gastro pub, both just a short distance from the house.

We had the best stay even though it was grey most days it was warm enough to use the pool and all the other facilities. Age ranges from 5 to 71 so all were accommodated. Thanks to Robin and Lorraine

Outstanding views with the property to go with it, clean with all the facilities you need. Grandchildren never out the pool. An ideal house for a family to sit back or be amused by all that’s going on around the house. Loved it thank you Robin& Lorraine.

Amazing property with fantastic views. The facilities were excellent, something for all age, we particularly liked the pool! The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thank you to them for the welcome Prosecco and Welsh Cakes

A great house that is clearly well looked after. Very homely and fabulous facilities. Nothing was too much trouble. It's in a great area for other activities and the views were just wonderful.

What an amazing birthday week I've just spent in this amazing property. Stunning in every aspect. The hosts are really helpful and attend to your every need. There is literally no negatives here at all. The mountain views are incredible. And the sunsets are spectacular....Can not recommend enough.

Loved our week at Cedar Lodge. House perfect for our large family group. Would highly recommend this property.

This was a very well equipped house for all our family to stay. Another shower room is needed really. We would have found a floor plan on our booking helpful. The driveway situation with the neighbours make access very tight.
Overall a great time was had by All.

The house was huge and had everything to keep all our teens and younger ones amused in the typical rainy British weather.
Great communication, just a text/what’s app away if owners were needed.
Lots to do in the area but did need to use the car quite often.

The house was perfect for us. Swimming pool games room and cinema room all for the children/teenagers and comfortable accommodation for us adults.

Carol was amazing to work with and her place is super clean, accurately described and as always a wonderful time on FI.

Excellent week. First class facilities. Easy dealing with the owners.

We had a wonderful time at Cedar Lodge. The photos don’t do it justice - all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and the house contains everything you need for a large group. We were very lucky with the weather but the pool was so warm that we could have swum every day even if it had rained! Our group (aged 4 to 75) also particularly like the cinema room the puffin conservatory (with its twinkling fairy lights) and the outside decking area. Communication with the owners (Robin and Lorraine) was great before and during our stay and they were very helpful when we couldn’t get the key safe to work. Would definitely recommend this property.

Nice house plenty of space but the biggest hit was the out door pool loved by 4 grandkids.

We were 4 adults and 4 children. The house is really lovely. Plenty of space to get away from each other. The kids loved the pool along with the cinema room and pool table. I cannot fault it at all. The owners were lovely and responded quickly. My only minor gripe is that the driveway at one point is shared and quite narrow. Big enough but the bushes on one side play havoc with your paintwork. Small point but important. I imagine that the bushes on one side belong to someone else but could be cut back. It did not spoil our overall opinion though so don’t be put off.

Great communication with the owners from the start. Stunning property and location. So many wonderful places to visit close by. Absolutely brilliant. We'd happily live there!!!!!

Breathtaking
We stayed at Cedar Lodge to celebrate my Mums 75th birthday and we all had a fantastic time. The house was spotless and the decor was beautiful with lots of attention to detail. It was in a lovely location and the views from the property were breathtaking. We hired a private chef for the Saturday evening (Daichef) which made it extra special. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to have a memorable holiday.

A perfect home for all ages
We recently enjoyed a fantastic week at Cedar Lodge. The home has so much to offer and enjoy for family of all ages, with space to spread out and come together.
The decor is stylish and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the tech and connectivity of sky, Alexa and of course the cinema room. The pool is a great benefit, we even managed a dip in fairly chilly weather.
The welcome gift was the best we have had in a holiday home stay and communication with Robin and Lorraine was great.
Many thanks for the stay, we would love to return one day.

We had the most fantastic weekend at Cedar Lodge. The house and the views were just beautiful. We paid extra to have the pool heated as we knew that the time of year we were going, we would probably need it! It was definitely worth it because although it rained at times we still had a great time in the pool and felt that we'd really made the most of the house. The master bedroom and bathroom is just something else, we couldn't believe the size of it and everyone was very jealous that I got to stay in that room with me being the birthday girl :) Robin and Lorraine were excellent at keeping me informed of all the information needed for the house, all in all it was a weekend to remember.

Absolutely Brilliant
Amazing Stay!!! Property was fantastic from start to finish! Couldn't have asked for a better holiday.

Lovely house, photos don't do it any justice at all, so much to do and the cinema room was the heart of the home for our stay with the burner to keep the full family toasty!
Only negative was I paid extra for the pool to be heated as it was October I contacted a few times about the temp which the host tried to rise the temp of the pool but in the end we only used it twice I think due to it being too cold. I would come back and stay again in a heart beat! Thank you for letting us rent this it'll be somewhere we remember fondly

Had a great weekend here to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday with our family. I’m so glad I booked to stay at Cedar lodge. We got a text to let us know we could arrive a little earlier as the house was ready. When we arrived Robin and Lorraine had left a few gifts and a hand written card wishing my wife a happy birthday. Everything was perfect on arrival and the house is lovely. I was expecting it to be a bit tatty and worn but it was the complete opposite. Everything had been thought of from little notes explaining how certain electronics worked to extra blankets in the cinema room. We wanted to watch the boxing on PPV and robin set this up for us remotely @5pm in his Saturday evening and we paid via Vrbo. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need. I couldn’t recommend and this place enough. I never leave reviews good or bad but Robin and Lorraine definitely deserve one for cedar lodge. Thanks again

Perfect family break
Stunning property with amazing views. Cedar Lodge feels like home. Heated swimming pool, cinema room, games room, pool table. Spacious and well thought out property with lots of little added touches by the owners. We had an absolutely perfect break with four generations of our family together.

Amazing place!
The property is beautiful, full of amenities and never a dull moment. The pool is lovely and warm, the cinema room and all the games provided are excellent. Our group was aged 8-73 and everyone was content. The property owners were at hand for all our queries with a prompt response. We had a fantastic break and would sincerely recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely family holiday. Thank you so much for the lovely memories we made.

Cedar Lodge Experience
A fantastic property set in magnificent surroundings.
Everything you could possibly need for a family holiday covering 3 generations was here at Cedar Lodge.
The huge grassed garden a delight for the children (and the adults) along with the heated pool and jet spa was great fun. Great Wi-Fi all round the house and garden is always usefull along with TV and the cinema room meant there was always something to do. From the Table Tennis to Pool and Darts we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had lots of fun and enjoyment. The amenities were second to none with a large impressive kitchen and beautiful formal dining room. We even got a Chef in on one night to cook us a special 3 course meal which was a marvellous occasion for all to remember.
We ate out and about on other occasions and there are numerous great restaurants around the area and all served really good food. When we stayed home we enjoyed all the home comforts and more that this property delivers.
Overall a fantastic family holiday and one that we will definitely come back to.

We had a great time staying here and the house was perfect for what we were looking for. The games/cinema room was such an added bonus for the evenings, which the kids and adults loved.
Robin and Lorraine were brilliant hosts, from the moment of booking and right throughout our stay. Very quick to come back to any query and extremely helpful.

The weather could not have been better, so we took full advantage of the amazing outside space this house offers. Most of our time was spent in and around the pool. We dined either on the outside balcony or on the lower terrace, both of which have fantastic views. We ended most evenings sat around the fire pit with the younger ones toasting marshmallows. It is ideal for families, although we were unable to take full advantage of the beautiful surrounding countryside as the weather was too hot, but we weren’t complaining.

What an amazing house
Cedar Lodge is such an incredible house and offers so much for an amazing family holiday. The house itself is fantastic and Is beautifully furnished throughout. The master bedroom with the bathroom/dressing room was so luxurious and then you open the bedroom blinds and be met with breathtaking views. The outside area was perfect for us all and we spent the whole weekend on the balcony eating and drinking and the evening by the fire pit watching the beautiful sunsets. The children loved the garden and the pool area as well as the games room especially the huge tv and sound system. We really did love every second of our stay and have made family memories to last a lifetime. We did not want to leave and we will most definitely be back to enjoy Cedar Lodge again soon. Thank you to the hosts who made our stay so special with all their communication and the lovely welcome basket of treats which was enjoyed by all. Until the next time .,…
