Bairro Alto is a picturesque quarter dating from the 1500s. At its heart are narrow cobbled streets densely packed with apartments, restaurants, and bars. Its grid of streets is quiet during the day but transforms at night into one of the city's most vibrant nightlife quarters.
The main commercial streets are Rua do Norte, Rua da Atalaia, and Rua do Diário de Noticias, from which it's easy to reach Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara (a garden terrace with a panoramic view over the city) and two of the city's most interesting churches: São Roque with its magnificent baroque interior and the romantic gothic ruins of Carmo Church.
Neighboring Chiado is an elegant, sophisticated district of theatres, bookshops, old-style cafes, art nouveau jewellery shops, luxurious international names such as Hermes, and local treasures such as the opulently gilded Tavares Restaurant (Lisbon's oldest restaurant, opened in 1784) and the delicate porcelain shop Vista Alegre.
My home is easily accessible by public transport.
The nearest train station is Baixa-Chiado (an interchange station where the Blue and Green Lines of the Lisbon Metro connect), just a 3-minute walk from the flat.
Praça Luís de Camões (24E) and Largo Trindade Coelho (24E) are the nearest tram stops. Both of these tram stops are a 5-minute walk from the flat. The #24 tram goes through Ascensor da Glória (one of Lisbon's three funiculars), crossing Príncipe Real along Rua da Escola Politécnica, towards Largo do Rato. Then, it climbs Rua das Amoreiras and glimpses Amoreiras Shopping Center across the street before reaching its final stop in Campolide.
Lisbon Portela Airport is a 20-minute drive from the flat.

I don't think we could get a better location than this condo. We were close to great food, shopping, and tourist sites. The home has air conditioning in every room, so we were able to stay comfortable during the peak heat of the day. For those who are able, walking to places to eat, shop, and see was easy and just a short distance. Yes, everything is up or down hill from here. For those who don't enjoy walking, Uber was readily available for a modest price. Home amenities were reliable. The all in one washer/dryer was convenient, but you will need to hang your clothes for additional drying (European standard practice). Summary: Fantastic home for an extended stay in Lisbon.

Amazing place in the best part of the city and close to everything!

Lovely place that was perfectly situated near the shops and restaurants without being directly in the chaos. I would absolutely stay here again.

This apartment met all of our needs, large enough for a family of five, and great location. The apartment is well appointed, clean with plenary of light. It’s a rental property with IKEA furniture. We had a nice time in Lisbon and that is all that matters. After reading the reviewers I hoped that the AC would work and it performed flawlessly. I would. Have given this apartment a 5 but it does need some maintenance. The door in one of the upstairs bedrooms cannot be opened from the inside, this is a hazard! The downstairs bathroom needs to be caulked, water leaks everywhere. As I said it’s a rental and all it needs is maintenance. I would recommend this apartment as it met all our needs.

This review is given after contacting the company a total of 6-8 times to answer our complaint all of which have been ignored.
We arrived in Lisbon to find our apartment had not been cleaned and therefore we could not begin our much anticipated break until this had been done. The cleaner arrived around 3.30 (30 mins after our contractual time for key handover).
Obviously, after a very rushed clean, the property did not meet our expectations on cleanliness. We had half used toiletries in the bathroom, only enough toilet roll for the evening, the rug had not been properly vacuumed and in general the property did not meet the pristine conditions you would expect when paying such a premium price.
Added to this, the lock on one of the bedrooms was broken and consequently two of the guests could not get out of the room and had to wake guests in order for the door to be opened, One of the showers had very low water pressure making it difficult for 2 of the guests to shower.
The coffee table in the lounge had a piece missing from it. The apartment needed some maintenance and all of these problems were brought to the management’s attention.
In summary, the apartment is in the most amazing location but all the points mentioned above detracted from our stay. We paid a very premium price for an inadequate stay. We lost a few hours of our first day which had the knock on effect of losing our evening’s entertainment.
We would never book with Guest Ready again!

A nice apartment, but we paid for 3 bedrooms, not one...
The two star rating is not a reflection of the apartment; it's a nice place with a lot of space, comfortable beds and a great location...if you don't mind having one floor with no air conditioning during a heat wave. We discovered the a/c problem within an hour of our arrival and contacted the host immediately. We did receive a response, but not until the next day and there was no offer to come help, nor was there any for the next 3 days. Finally, on the day before our departure, we were told a repair person would be coming. He did come that day...at 8pm, just as we were leaving for dinner, but we wouldn't allow him to stay to fix it without us there (to his credit, he understood and apologized for the problem). So, our a/c units upstairs were inoperable for our entire stay (thank god the first floor units worked), and instead of having their own rooms and bathrooms, our daughters slept on the two sofas in the living room for our entire trip. All that said, if the a/c units worked, I would have given the apartment at least 4 stars, maybe 5. Unfortunately, poor customer service brought it down to 2 stars. Make sure to ask the host if the a/c units are working properly before putting any money down.
