Great welcome from Chris and Suzy, really enjoyed our stay. Good location on edge of the town. Brilliant breakfast. Highly recommended.

Breakfast had a good choice of cereals, fruit, breads and eggs from their own chickens and a beautiful orangery to enjoy the food.
Chris and Suzy were great hosts, friendly and accommodating.

Water could be a bit warmer in the morning.
A warm shower was not possible at 5pm. But we were warned

Spotlessly clean comfortable rooms in an ideal location with a great host

Good selection of cereals and fruit. Eggs (poached, fried, scrambled) on home-made bread optional.
Stayed at weekend so able to take advantage of free parking at nearby GP surgery car park. Weekday parking could be moe of any issue given busy road and parking restrictions.

Chris and Suzy were very friendly and helpful. The bed was most comfortable. My room was at the back of the building so it was quiet which I appreciated. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see the garden as it gets dark early this time of year but I would happily come back to stay if I was back in Ashburton again.
I didn't encounter anything that I didn't like.

Very friendly staff, including being flexible with our late arrival.
Excellent fresh breakfast.
Very comfortable bed.
Great location within the town.
Free parking on the street outside.
Our room was small, however, big enough for two traveling with smaller bags :)

quiet, really comfortable bed, fantastic and attentive hosts
only minor points as I don't want to detract from the lovely stay we had. Need to put a slip mat in the shower as I nearly came a cropper a couple of times. Bathroom door didn't shut....maybe even the wrong door as not even close to closing. No english breakfast (to be fair this was clear when we booked). No car parking.

Exceptional hospitality, lovely breakfast including perfect scrambled-eggs. Room was lovely, very comfortable and en-suite was the perfect size. I’ll definitely return!

we had an apartment for four nights, great accommodation as though it was ours.
To be picky, you need a parking fairy to find a street spot close to the house.

Excellent contact from time of booking and a detailed email regarding parking options and places to eat. We were made very welcome and given all the information we needed as soon as we checked in. Breakfast was a lovely selection of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese, jams, home baked sour dough, freshly baked croissants and eggs laid by the hens in the garden which were cooked to order and absolutely delicious. There was plenty to choose from and we were very well looked after, and there was tea, coffee and fruit juice aplenty.
We were attending a week long cookery course at the nearby Ashburton Cookery School. This meant that we were bringing our creations back with us at the end of the day to have for dinner and Suzy and Chris kindly left out crockery and cutlery as well as giving us use of the oven and microwave so that we could enjoy our food in the evenings. This certainly exceeded our expectations and was very much appreciated.
Suzy and Chris were friendly and informative about the local area. An excellent stay and the perfect choice whether you are staying for a leisurely trip to doing a cookery course. Thank you!
Nothing! Chris and Suzy had clearly thought everything through and provided us with everything we needed during our stay.

pretty much most things
1. no proper lounge area to socialise
2. truly dreadful parking. Place needs to ask for temporary permits for guests. i would be hesitant to stay again there due to that and it was a common comment among the guests.

Excellent location and a very warm welcome from Suzy and Chris on arrival. Every guest was made to feel at home within this beautiful setting. My room was tastefully decorated and comfortable and the homemade sourdough for breakfast was delicious!
Everything exceeded my expectations so no comments to write here.

Nothing. Parking could be an issue at busier times of the year but was not an issue when we were there.

The breakfast was excellent, served with a smile and tasted lovely every single morning.
Both of the hosts were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.
Parking can be a little tricky in an older town like Ashburton, but we never parked more than about two minutes walk away.
Nothing.

The hosts were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was always lovely and plenty of it.
The breakfast time is between 8-9, so it was hard for me to get up sometimes that early but it is just an observation! I love a lay in on the odd day....
