Loved location and back deck

Bedding was dirty and dusty with obvious stains, cobwebs throughout, dust clumped on fan blades. I have pictures to provide.
Would like some money back.

The ease to walk to town and the beds were very comfortable.

It was a great stay good location and a lot of space. We had a plumbing issue about 10 pm called and spoke with customer service. That’s was about it. All in all great friends and great trip.

Location was excellent. The town was short walk and offered everything we cld need in the mtns. Cabin cld use some TLC. It was nice but dated. Combared to other VRBOs I've used, it was on the lower end. All in all, it worked for my boys and I as a base for us to explore the region.

The proximity to town and the lake

The house was perfect for my work/vacation. I work remotely and need fast internet access and the Wi-Fi was perfect. The house has a living room, master bed room, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor and two more bedrooms upstairs. I think it’s the perfect size for 4-6 people.
I never used the car and walked to restaurants and to the lake. Around the neighborhood are very nice trails and everything is in pristine shape. The lake has everything for boating, fishing and swimming. Yosemite is ~2 hours away and a great national park to visit.
I hope to come back some day …

While we did enjoy our stay, we had to run to the store and buy toilet paper and there was dirty towels left in the bathroom.

Loved the location and being able to walk to about everything in Shaver.
We were there during a real heat wave. 108 in Fresno. So we used 3 fans in the house to try to cool it down. But we knew there wasn’t AC - just didn’t know we would be there in such a hot week
We only used the downstairs bedroom.
Better lighting would be a big help. Can’t see what is in the dresser in the closet without a flashlight , and although the lamps in the living area are for 3 way bulbs, there were only low watt bulbs so there wasn’t enough light to read by
We also had sugar ants invade the kitchen. We then put all food in the fridge to see what was left
All in all it was great for what we wanted but a few improvements to lighting, storage would be very helpful. And we would go back!

This was our 2nd year staying here. It was very homey and cozy. We love this house. The amenities here. It's just like home. The stores are conveniently close and if you wanted to, you can walk there. Shaver lake is about an 8 min drive. I recommend this cute little house.

Loved this cabin!
We really loved our stay here and truly wish that we could buy the place, it has all of the little amenities that made our time there east and convenient. All the beds were comfortable with mattress toppers, the kitchen was stocked with utensils and dishes, and the patio was well equipped with a patio heater, bbq, fire pit, lounge chairs, picnic tables, string lights and more. We really loved this place and will come regularly!

March in Shaver
Finding the cabin was easy enough and just enough space for a family of four with 2 small children. We went at a time when there was just enough snow on the ground to keep a toddler busy and not be overwhelmed by too many vacationers. The cabin, once heated, stayed nicely warm and was well furnished without feeling cramped. If the shower stops when you first turn on the water for the cabin, remove the shower head and clear out the rust and you’ll be good to go! A peaceful stay overall. Beds are firm, the pillows poofy and there is a very comfy recliner with soft extra blankets.

Almost perfect for our needs
Me and wife liked the house. One small improvement could be to install more powerful and quieter convection heaters in rooms.

Relax at the bird house
Over all was a nice stay. Wish it was advertised as what the true cost was. The late check in was a bit annoying. However, we did enjoy ourselves. It was nice. Clean definitely a mountain cabin as long as you stayed inside.

Stayed for 2 nights with my mom and sisters
We enjoyed every minute of it! The house was clean and didn't have a funky smell when walking in.
We couldn't find a broom to sweep the inside which was a bummer because we didn't like leaving any mess on the floor.
For the first time we got to see snow falling. It was so beautiful when we woke up!
Already missing the crisp cool air and the wrap around deck! We'll definitely be back!
Thank you for letting us enjoy some peace and quiet in your home!

Sweet space
This is a sweet little cabin. Close to lake and center of town. Very vintage in style. Appreciated the BBQ and picnic table outside. Might suggest bringing your own pillows.

Cozy residence in a very quaint town.
My brother and I wanted to escape the city to allow our kids to spend time in the great outdoors. We didn’t know what to expect regarding the area, as pictures don’t always tell the whole story. The residence was amazing, the residence was as described in the listing, and the area is absolutely beautiful, and the local pizza parlor was really good (much better than CPK for flavor and quality). Out of all the places we stayed during our 2-week vacation in California all the kids (7-12 yo) claimed the cabin was their favorite place to stay. As for the adults the accommodations were perfect and the quiet peaceful environment allowed us to re-energize before going into SF to continue our vacation. Would definitely stay at the residence again.

Very cute cabin
This cabin was very cute and located close to everything! We really enjoyed our stay, and it’s the perfect place for a family. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the cabin it’s self. It was pretty dusty, lots of cobwebs and the pot holders had dried food on them.

Cute place
The place is cute is actually better in person. Perfect for a little family. My only issue were the beds were super uncomfortable the top bedroom the bed next to the full bed squeak all night. The bunk bed weren’t steady. And this house have an old wall heater unit that is so loud and crackle all night. We had it on all night because it actually snow a little in April and the beds upstairs were so uncomfortable so we slept downstairs and I slept on the pull out with my baby yes the pull out were more comfortable than the beds. My husband and slept in the bottom room. The bottom room is the coldest place in the house the heater doesn’t reach it. And is also right next to the restroom and it had a mild smell I don’t know what. The restroom door was so hard to close we slam our fingers a couple times it was definitely installed wrong. But on the plus side if that was fix and they change beds I would definitely stayed here again. Great location walking distance from town the cabin itself was pretty clean I saw only two spider web guessing the miss dusting it. Nice bbq area and a nice little hangout outside. We also got excited to see there were board games since we forgot ours to find out there were a lot of missing pieces. I would recommend this cute place for one small family.

Convenient location, decent space
We came up here for a little mountain time and to enjoy the snow. It was a nice-sized space and the location was really nice and close to downtown Shaver Lake. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable, but otherwise the space was nice. We got the standard communication from the owner but I had tried twice to contact them about asking about an extension and they never replied.

Cozy little Bird House
This cabin was immaculate, had all the kitchen utensils, dishes, cups, glasses anyone would need. I know it sleeps eight, but there were only 2 of us. We slept in the downstairs bedroom; the bed was so comfy! Perfectly appointed. Beautiful updated bathroom. Decks on 3 sides of the cabin, with outdoor lights on 2 of them. Enough parking for 3-4 cars. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood, close to downtown Shaver...across from Ken's Market.
