I stayed for almost 2 months during an internship. I was honestly so sad to leave, and this booking is actually one of the reasons that Accept a job offer. The neighbors are nice, the neighborhood is great to walk in and you’ll see everyone walk in the mornings and afternoons. When contacting the host, they answered super quick, and we’re so nice. It was plenty of supplies, and I felt right at home. My one and only complaint is that the house definitely hasnt had a deep clean in a while. Counters and main items were cleaned, however blinds and the ceiling fan had a lot of dust. Other than that one tiny thing it was so amazing!

This property shows its age a bit but is very livable. Our problems on arrival were handled within 24 hours. This owner needs to upgrade the kitchen cutlery offerings and provide hot pads and dish towels. We had to ask for washcloths and a bath mat. As others before us had done, we had to pry open the dryer door since the handle was missing. Parking was on the street and we never had a problem. Location was a plus with easy access to Lions Muny golf course, HEB and close to MoPac for getting around Austin and staying off I-35.

My husband and I rented this duplex for a family visit. The duplex was very clean, Just needs more attention to detail. Shower drain is very slow, light in the shower was burnt out, solar lights on patio were almost all burnt out, the gas grill was unusable as the igniter didn't work and the grill was very dirty. So we didn't get to grill.
There needs to be a note about the light switch needs to be turned on to get electricity to the dishwasher. (This may be a Texas thing as is the same in my daughter's apartment?) We ran out of clean forks and the knives were very dull.
Overall, the location is great, the bed was comfortable. The water was hot. We had a great stay, but this place could be so much better.
4.7
Great location for the purposes of our trip.
Loved the new HEB grocery store nearby.
Internet: very good.
Bed: very good.
Bathroom: good, slow shower drain.
Kitchen: very good but tableware inventory needs a review and half the cutlery knives are dull. Cutting board heavily worn.
Heat/AC: very good.
Neighborhood: very quiet but occupants of adjacent duplex were easily overheard.
Décor and general condition: dated and somewhat tired but clean.
Parking: right on the street in front of the property, spot always available.
Communication with host: very good before and after check in. See below.
Things to improve:
Gas fireplace was inviting but no operation instructions. Couldn’t find any extra trash bags.
No outside trash receptacle or disposal area. We took trash to a disposal area at a local mall.
Light bulb was flickering on one nightstand lamp in bedroom--knob appeared broken.
One light socket broken in fixture over dining table (socket hanging from wire).
The dining room was quite dark-could use more light.
Called Guest Services to report two relatively minor problems but hung up after a 10-minute hold.
Guest Services did eventually answer text message but only responded to one of two questions/concerns.
Need list of general info: 1)Emergency numbers (fire, electricity, gas shutoff, 2) location of dishwasher switch.
There may be a disconnect between VRBO "message host" link and the actual host or owner. Luckily nothing major came up :)

The neighborhood won me over. It's gorgeous!! This property could use some work. It wasn't as clean as I would've liked ( the oven was dirty, potentially clogged drain in the shower, hair on the floor and sheets). So before we could get settled in, I was doing laundry to have clean sheets on the bed. Oddly enough, there were bite marks on the faux apples used as decor. Thankfully I brought cleaning supplies for the shower, toilet and counters. Once the cleaning was done, we were able to enjoy the location. Being able to take a daily walk to the lake was amazing. The quietness of the neighborhood added to its beauty

Property is comfortable but would not consider it a romantic getaway. Upon arrival the heat was not functioning. It took over a day to be resolved and I was constantly following up only to finally (thankfully) be told it was resolved. We purposely had not returned to the property since it was uncomfortable; it would have been nice to be updated sooner/more frequently. Communication was not ideal (‘will update you when we know more’, ‘working to resolve the issue’) as the property management company was dealing with us, repair personnel and the owner. Light bulbs were burned out above the kitchen sink and in the shower. Bed sheets were worn through with minor holes, in some areas. Location was nice and felt very safe. Easy Uber to all the things we wanted to do. Big skylight in the bedroom.

We stayed 4 nights while attending a conference in Austin. We were delighted with the location - a lovely neighborhood filled with rolling hills, lots of trees, beautiful homes, and very friendly people. The home is a duplex and is older in construction. However, it is well appointed and modernized. Our primary two concerns in rentals are cleanliness and location. We were very impressed with both. We had one issue with the access code. A quick call to Vacasa and within moments we had assistance and - best of all - the ability to get back inside the duplex! Excellent access to downtown but feels a million miles from the hustle of downtown. We go to Austin at least once a year and, from now on, this will be the first place we check for availability.

Best mattress I’ve ever slept on, home had everything I needed!

Space is well set up for two people, with comfortable bed and good air conditioning and ceiling fans. Kitchen is older but serviceable. It was too hot to use the patio when we were there but it looked like a nice place to relax. Easy walking to Lake Austin. We would stay again!

We celebrated my brother’s birthday in Austin, and let me tell you - the location of this townhouse is absolutely perfect! It’s near Lake Austin which is great for paddle boarding, kayaking, and hanging out at. Really close to downtown as well. AC worked perfectly and the front patio made a great spot to enjoy coffee in the morning. I loved it here :)

My partner and I came for a New Years getaway and this place was awesome! The property was very clean and well-kept. Located in a quiet, suburban neighborhood. We bookmarked this property for our next visit to Austin.
4.7
We liked the property size and layout. Things were a bit dated though, such as electronics and appliances. The stove burner trays were caked with debris. The tv was dated and had no cable, streaming options or DVD player (which was listed). The property manager was amazing once we were able to get a response from her. There is a number you call and it is a business that runs the property. I think the property manager is a bit overloaded but she tried to assist us with a DVD player and/or some other option. But the TV that is available is rabbit ears and does not work well. My husband has a hard time sleeping sometimes, so a DVD player or working TV makes a huge difference.
We were told we would get a partial refund and that did not happen.

The Tarrytown property was a great hideaway. Quiet neighborhood but close to needed shopping without the traffic. We loved staying there.

I loved this place. It was just perfect for us to relax in after a busy day. The bedroom is very large, and the bed was a dream to sleep on. It is in a very beautiful quiet neighborhood. Would I stay here again? Most defiantly.

I loved the neighborhood and will definitely book again. House was clean, comfy, and as described. Perfect place to stay when visiting Austin. Thank you!

Lovely, comfortable, and well appointed. Bring everything for the kitchen, including salt and pepper. Fine cookware but nothing else at all. Either the tv couldn't stream anything or some tips on the remote are needed. (Haven't seen rabbit-ears on a tv in decades.). Bed is huge and comfy. No tub but the shower is excellent.

We came with our dog for a weekend and had a lovely and restful time. Beautiful neighborhood with huge trees and we loved walking to Mozart's! Very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Can't wait to come back.

We wanted this townhouse as my daughter had surgery in austin. Check in was good with communication from the manager. The only reason to give four stars instead of five was the outside needs some work-the patio etc. and to get to the trash cans(there was not a blue can for recycling) we had to walk back on a pretty messed up area. During a hard rain there was water in the bathroom, but the manager quickly addressed this and it will be repaired. It was no problem for us. The unit had everything that we needed. Our only suggestion would be besides the outside, some better bath towels. Otherwise all good. Beautiful, convenient, and safe neighborhood. Very near Lake Austin and some nice places to eat.

I grew up in this part of Austin in the 1950's and we love these parts of Austin that haven't changed!!

WIll definitely stay here again. AC works awesome, king bed super
Comfy! Patio so cute, all shaded & has lots of potential! Only suggestion is to trim dead branches from above. Could be dangerous.

What a lovely property, beautiful surroundings and tastefully furnished throughout. I liked that one could sit out on a private patio to relax. The area is very residential and peaceful, however you do need a car to access shops, restaurants etc. There are are several bars and restaurants close at Oyster landing. I would definitely stay again.

My 80+ parents rented this spot for 3 weeks. It is a really great little spot. The location is fantastic in that it's a beautiful neighborhood and a short drive to lots of amenities (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.), And you're right downtown so less traffic except at rush hour.
I was the one who coordinated with Vacasa for them and they were very responsive. It was icy while they were here and we never got salt or sand down, but that's hard to come by in Austin!
The biggest issue that I'd mention is that the garbage was never picked up the whole time they were there. I'm not sure why and they kept saying it would get picked up. But it didn't affect my parents much except that they didn't like the idea of adding to the overflow behind the house!
All in all, it's a great place. I think they'd stay there again if they come again next year. It's a great size for two people for a longer period of time.
