I really enjoyed the property. It was very cozy. It was perfect for my family. The area around was nice as well.
The only thing I wish was a little better was that there was more light for the outside. At night it gets super dark and being by an alley way it felt a little spooky. Honestly

Proximity to grocery stores, restaurants and UT campus can’t be beat.

Lovely area and comfortable home. Could use a little updating and upkeep to make it even more comfortable.

The house was super clean upon arrival. Neighborhood was quiet. We really enjoyed how close it was to everything and a very close to a grocery store. Great place.

My friend came from out-of-state for a girls weekend in Austin and we stayed here. It was the perfect location for everything we did—what a fun neighborhood! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We did not get to enjoy the outdoor space much due to all the rain, but maybe next time. Like others mentioned, the furniture was completely different than what the picture shows, but that was not an issue for us. We tried to do a load of laundry and there was such a foul odor coming from inside the washing machine that we chose not to use it.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this little cottage in this quaint neighborhood.

Cute charming older home in a great area! The back window was broken and not fixed which didn’t feel good. Beds were soft. Otherwise a great place.

We have always loved our VRBO rentals, but this one was very disappointing. While it was clean enough, there were many maintenance issues and this house clearly isn’t very loved.
Fridge has no light and door shelves have no bars across them. When we checked in, there were leftover open ice cream containers in the freezer that were still there.
Lighting very poor overall in the house. Very dark
not all blinds work so that they open and close easily. Broken window in rear bedroom, covered up with packing tape.
Molding from front screen door came off as we were leaving
Water pressure very low in shower.
Wrong Wi-Fi information on emails and app.
Linens were very thin old. Towels, thin and white ones were dark and dingy. I did not feel comfortable using the towels and we were glad we brought our own pillows.
The screens were torn on the porch and the screen door latch was missing so it wouldn’t stay closed.
Also, there is no walkway from the parking area to the front door. There are only these large stones that are supposed to be stepping stones, but are not level. We almost tripped on them. Overgrown weeds on the driveway. Scratched our car going in and out.
This house has a lot of possibilities and could be adorable and a terrific rental with some minor updating and maintenance.

Overall, close to all areas. Small cute and good for families.

Needs a few upgrades, not the same furniture as in pictures. However, none of that really mattered. We enjoyed our stay, it was a peaceful stay and close to a lot of stores and Downtown. I would definitely rent this place out again.

The home is lovely, and we especially enjoyed the screened in porch. It's a little loud at times with traffic from a nearby larger road, but that's city living!

Very clean house close to downtown. Nice screened in porch for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend!

The house was clean and neatly organized. The living room furniture is different than what is in the online photos, but that didn’t end up being an issue with how many we needed to seat. There are some clear issues with upkeep of the house itself, as there is a broken window in the back sleeping room that was attempted to be patched with tape. And in the front sleeping room, a plant from outside is growing in the room through the window, making it clear that some details are neglected. But overall we had a decent stay. The neighborhood was quiet and the house served our needs.

My friends and I had a great stay and this cute quaint little house. Enough space, clean and easy to get where you want to go! I enjoyed the neighborhood. Management was really responsive when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again!

I needed a quiet place to stay for a business trip and this cottage was perfect.

The cottage was perfect for our stay -- only a mile from our daughter's apartment, comfortable, nice neighborhood, and convenient. We didn't spend a lot of time in the cottage, we were too busy seeing Austin from Lake Travis to the Lady Bird wildflowers and more. But it was nice to have a full kitchen and far better than staying at a hotel. The washer/dryer is a nice plus as well!

This was our third stay at this location - it was as enjoyable and comfortable as we remembered! The location is near several of our favorite amenities in a quiet classic Austin neighborhood - perfect for us. Our week went by way too fast - thank you for another wonderful visit!

Keasbey Cottage is a great little house in a great neighborhood. The outdoor areas - yard, deck, and porch - are spacious and comfy. But the interior is way overdue for some fresh paint, refinished floors, an updated bathroom, and new furniture. Also, it’s described as sleeping six, which is misleading. Two bedrooms with queen beds. A couple, a couple with a child or two, or two couples who don’t mind sharing a bathroom fill the place up. Nonetheless, the bones are there. We would happily return but only if it is freshened up.

A nice, clean, quiet and comfortable stay.

This cottage is in a quaint little neighborhood, not far from everything we wanted to do. The beds are comfortable and lower to the ground, which is good for our small dogs. Toiletries and linens are provided, as well as all the basic home items. We had our dogs with us and the only issues we had were in the backyard. Everything is sticky from one of the trees and the flood lights didn’t work.

Very cute, clean cottage. At the time of our stay there seemed to be an issue with the water pump as there was an annoying vibration/drill noise. Management was response to our notification but couldn’t resolve during our visit.

Hyde Park Hide Away
The property is old but cute. The back yard is giant which our dog loved. And it was amazingly quiet for being in the middle of town. Very central for going to various parts of Austin.

A Little More
Property was great, but not excellent. Porch light did not fully light. Solar lights along pathway did not function at all. There were no wine glasses! With just a little more attention to detail it could have been perfect.

Keasbey Cottage was a great stay in Austin. The home is clean and efficient. The two work areas helped me and my traveling companion work on our travels. The kitchen has the essentials and the stove works GREAT!
It’s older so there are small repairs and updates to make but none impacted the enjoyment of our stay.
We would return!

Wonderful place.
This is a wonderful small house located in the nice and quiet neighborhood. A great plus is an outdoor deck and a big backyard with many trees. A/C works great which is super important for staying in Austin during the summer. The property manager is very responsive, easy to reach, and a pleasure to communicate with. We’ll be back!

Cozy cottage in great neighborhood
We stayed at Keasbey Cottage for our summer vacation to Austin. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s conveniently located with close access to everything. The neighborhood feels very safe. We rode bikes a few times and enjoyed every minute of it. Bathroom and kitchen supplies were generous and the home is nicely decorated, but some of the amenities are a little out dated. Some of the lights didn’t work properly, the bathroom vent didn’t work, and the coffee pot was a bit testy. On a positive note, the A/C works very well and the house cooled off quickly even without running it full blast all day. The back door was very “sticky“ and requires a big arm or good hip action to get it closed. But overall we really enjoyed our stay. Our puppy LOVED the screened in back porch and would have stayed there permanently if we let him. Unfortunately there were some windows that had broken screens and he would have escaped had we left him unattended even for a minute. The backyard is really nice and was cool even with the Texas summer heat. We would definitely stay here again.
