Located at 22 Mallard in North Forest Beach, this beautiful six bedroom, four and a half bath home with two master suites and private pool is a short two minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on Hilton Head (only 150 yards to the beach).
The Space:
House, 6 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12)
Under new Ownership and Management effective Sept 2020. With many new decorations, bedding, and many other new furnishings throughout has greatly updated the feel of this home inside and out! Located at on Mallard Street in North Forest Beach, this beautiful six bedroom, four and a half bath home with two master suites and private pool is a short two minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on Hilton Head (only 150 yards to the beach).
As you enter the great room, you are greeted with a light, casual yet elegant living space. Flanked by two columns, this space contains a living area with white wood floors, a carved whitewashed fireplace, and a dining area that seats eight to 10.
Directly across from the dining table is an open kitchen with an island that seats three. Also on the first floor is the powder room with built-in laundry area (full-size washer and dryer) and a master suite with private bath.
The first floor master bedroom suite has a king-size bed, TV, and french doors leading to the porch. The master bedroom has his and her walk-in closets leading to the master bath. The bath has a jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and two vanities.
Upstairs you will find another master bedroom suite decorated beautifully in blue and white island style. This suite features a king bed, TV, and french doors opening onto the upper balcony. The master bath has a separate dressing area with double sinks and walk-in closet. It also has a jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower.
Along the remaining area of the second floor, you will find two queen bedrooms with a connecting full bath and two twin bedrooms with a connecting bath.
The upstairs king master suite and both queen bedrooms all open onto the upper balcony through french doors. All towels and linens are provided.

The private pool is located on the front of the property with a foliage privacy screen (12.5 ft X 29 ft). POOL IS HEATABLE, there is a $300 charge per week. Please let me know during booking if you'd like the pool heated.
For shopping and dining, Coligny Plaza is a short bike ride away, and the bike path is located directly in front of this home.

Highly recommend this particular rental property and the rental management.
Had a great stay with a large, family group. The house has plenty of room and the pool in the backyard is an incredible perk. The house was very clean upon check-in and a pool cleanning crew came mid-week which was nice as the pool was getting alot of use after the daily beach trips.
House is only a block from the beach and the street conveniently ends at a public beach access. Also, the beach was not over crowded. All week, we were able to find a spot right near the before mentioned beach access.
Suprisingly, the home is stocked with everything you will need and we only had a minor isssue with the fridge but it turned out to be just that the previous renter had misplaced the freezer storage tray. Initially, we did contact the owner/rental management about the fridgerator/freezer and they were very responsive and offered to send out a repair person.Turned out, repair was not necessary once the tray was put in correctly and the fridge and freezer operated perfectly after that. By the way, this occured during the weekend so I was pleasantly suprised to receive the quick response from the rental management.

This place worked out great for our family of 10. The beach was close enough my 81 yr old mother-in-law walked there every day. Once she was up the stairs in the house, she was able to stay on the main level in the bedroom there. She loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The rest of us loved the place too and there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms that no one felt like they were on top of each other. We particularly enjoyed the big round table where we could all sit down for dinner together. The vegetation around the pool made it so private. Shopping and ice cream was a bit further but still walkable.

This fit our large extended family perfectly. Has a nice pool and is very close to the beach. Just a heads up that the kitchen is not stocked with the basics (salt, sugar, etc) and the oven is super slow. Otherwise, everything else was great!!

Wonderful house and great location. There are 12 of us and can be a little tight in the main living area but the covered porch with rocking chairs is convenient for spillover. Excellent communication with owner/rep . It is a short pleasant stroll (less than 5 min) to the beach. The pool is great - it was cleaned twice while we were there. Highly recommend this home!

Fabulous location and great house for a family reunion. Plenty of space to spread out, very convenient to the beach, right on the bike path, and just a mile from restaurants and shops and a great playground. Lots of beach amenities at the house to make your stay a delight.

We rented the house for our children and young grandchildren. I have to say the house exceeded my expectations. When we drove up I thought I arrived at the wrong address....the pictures did not capture its full essence. The location to beach and nearby town with many restaurants was accurately described. The beach magnificent and both easily walkable and great even for bike riding. The weather better than I thought this time of year reaching mid-high 70's. Beautiful pool with plenty of toys. I do recommend heating it this time of year.
There was a good supply of beach chairs with a transport cart. Although beach and regular towels provided , I would suggest a second set be available. as well as greater supply of paper products for larger families. Would consider having a pac n play or portable crib for families with younger children. Bikes would be a great idea. Items we didn't have were easily rented. Our family enjoyed this special time we had together.

We ranged in age from 2 - 65 - I can honestly say this property was perfect - The house was perfect for those who wanted quiet time - to those who wanted beach and shopping - The kitchen is setup well for cooking breakfast or dinner - Uber was quick for pizza night - my favorite.. as the senior in the group - was the first floor master - with the prvt door to the veranda for my early morning mug of coffee- my 25 yr old loved the outlet malls and close walk to the beach - while our two year old paddled in the prvt pool - the large open floor plan allowed for fun family evenings ... Just a beautiful place for family gatherings

We had a large group of family stay at this wonderful property and can't think of a thing we lacked. The ocean and beach every morning with sun at the pool each afternoon. The house/kitchen was well stocked and the pool was even cleaned twice while we were there.
Only suggestion would be the addition of a door alarm system for pool safety since there is not a fence around the pool. Not a problem for us as the kids were quite young so constantly supervised but as they get older an alarm for the doors opening would be helpful for any unknown exploring that may occur.
The owner was very responsive and answered all questions promptly. This could easily become our regular yearly stop!

Great Vacation Home
This was our second visit to this home. We had a wonderful week. The house was very clean - the pool was lovely with some floats available. The kitchen is well stocked - linens are very nice and there are beach chairs and towels available. A nice gas grill is also available. I had to contact the host and he was very quick to respond. We have already secured our week for next summer!

Location, Location, Location. The home is a two minute walk from the beach, 10 minute walk from all kinds of great shopping and food and a short drive to many world class golf courses. We had 7 family members including a 10 month old baby (the house is not baby proof, but we did not expect that either) and a 2 year old. The house was perfect sized and had everything we needed. When there was something that was not working or was broken, Steve did an amazing job of responding and fixing it immediately (there was not much that needed his attention).
The home is just as it looks in the pictures. It has everything you need, including lots of pool/beach toys, beach chairs, towels, kitchen utensils, etc.
Steve was very responsive heading into the trip and durning the trip. The only thing I would recommend is know that they give you a "starter" kit of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap and laundry soap so if you are staying more than 2 or 3 days with a large group make sure and get some on your trip to the store.

Decided to spend the week after Christmas in Hilton Head with family and could not have been happier with our decision to stay at 22 Mallard. This home has everything (and more) that you could ever need for a week stay. With walking path next to home you’re 0.8 miles to Coligny and the multitudes of shopping and restaurants. Perfect Holiday Getaway
Decided to spend the week after Christmas in Hilton Head with family and could not have been happier with our decision to stay at 22 Mallard. We could walk to the beach and the shops in Coligny Circle. Steve was easy to work with. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Thansgiving meals. Very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and appliances. We had a wonderful family time!

Terrific Home!
Our family of 12 had a wonderful week at this beach house. There was enough room for all of us. The beds were fine with nice linens and the children really liked their cute bedrooms with the Jack and Jill bathroom. Comfortably decorated, a well stocked kitchen and a nice gas grill were all appreciated. The pool was great and was cleaned during the week -- we really enjoyed the porch and rocking chairs. The walk to the beach is a straight shot from the pool side of the house - about 4 minutes (you do cross a street but it is not very busy). We needed gas for the grill and the contact person delivered a new tank quickly. This was a great house with quick responses from the owner. We have already secured a week for next summer!
