Barefoot Oasis is an amazing escape from day-to-day life. This is a second home for us, so rest assured that all home comforts and amenities will be included.
At Barefoot Oasis, we boast a spacious kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms, and plenty of large common areas that the whole family can hang out in. Complete with two balconies overlooking a majestic view of the ocean, easy beach access, and a relaxing outdoor shower, our beach house has it all.
This house is great for families with children. Whether you're looking to build sandcastles by the beach all day or work on your tan while reading the latest Nicholas Sparks novel or simply sip coffee and view the sunrise over the water, this beach house has everything you could want and more.
Holidays are important, and we know the trust you place in us when booking with us. We take pride knowing our home has everything you need so that all you have to do is relax and enjoy your much-needed vacation!
And if you forgot to pack something, don't worry - everyone on Bolivar knows "If the Big Store doesn't have it, you don't need it!"
BASIC RULES - Please read the following basic rules before booking and review the rental agreement. We want you to enjoy our home, but want to ensure you will treat it as well as you would treat a good friend's home.
OCCUPANCY.
We rent to SMALL rental parties - 5 adults maximum, or 6 guests total if including children.
Families and responsible adults over 25 years of age are welcome.
*** DOGS. NO dogs (or pets), not even the teeny tiny cute ones.
*** PARTIES AND DAY GUESTS. NO parties, large family gatherings, proms, et cetera, smoking, or pets allowed. PARENTS - DO NOT rent on behalf of underage children. Doing any of the above will result in terminating the booking without refund, the deposit will be kept, and you will be asked to leave immediately.
We are very strict on occupancy limits due to the high cost of damages associated with overworking our septic system, etc. Please disclose any DAY GUESTS at time of booking.
Exterior security cameras on premises.

Linens included, and beds are made, so all you need to do is unpack and relax upon arrival. Please bring beach towels, as they are not supplied, as well as personal care products. Bath towels must remain in the house.
The kitchen is fully equipped - just bring your groceries.
TVs in living room and all bedrooms, free Wifi. Lots of games, puzzles, books.
Gas grill and outdoor seating. Grill must be wheeled outside the garage to be used on downstairs level only, and wheeled back in to the garage and locked up after each use to secure it. Guest is responsible for items missing due to not locking the garage or home up.
Decorated with fun coastal decor, painted with serene, calming colors. Lots of games, puzzles, books, wifi, and TV for when you want to relax inside.
Convenient outside shower to wash off the sand so it doesn’t track in the house. Beach chairs and sand toys available.
Parking for three cars on driveway only, not in the street or on neighboring property.
We are at the end of a private road, so very little traffic. The homes around us have permanent residents.
SLEEPING: All bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroom 1 faces the Gulf, queen bed. Bedroom 2 queen bed. Bedroom 3 bunkbeds. 1 full bath upstairs with shower/tub. 1 full bath on main floor with shower.

My college friend and I get together every summer for a few days at the beach! This house was so cute and the perfect size for us. It’s walking distance to the beach. We just load everything in our wagon and walk to the beach. The house was clean and easy check in. The neighbor was so sweet, he gave us a tomato out of garden. We hope to return again next year.

We had the best time at Barefoot Oasis and the communication with the owner was superb! She was readily available for any question or minor issue we had, and we could really tell how lovingly attentive they are to the house. The location was amazing and everything about this trip was easy and enjoyable, just like you want a vacation to be! I was actually already looking for another time to visit, but Barefoot Oasis is a hotspot this summer! We'll try to book again soon.

We stayed for a couple of days and it was a nice quiet place. House is basically at the end of a street so not a whole lot of commotion. We enjoyed our stay and the beach was a short walk away.

We really enjoyed our entire experience. The house was beautiful, easy access to everything you may need on the island and the closeness to the beach was perfect! Great views from the porches and more than enough room inside and out. We will be back again!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was a very short distance to the beach making it perfect for bringing our two babies back for naps. The owners were great and very responsive to all of my questions both before and during our stay. The views are amazing from the balconies and the house was very well equipped for our family. We rented a golf cart from JuJu Vibes and enjoyed cruising up and down the beach during our stay. We had great service at Finns bar and grill and the Nauti Beaver Hut, totally recommend those places for anyone visiting the area. The only thing I would change about our stay was the length of it! We are looking forward to returning to the area next year and will definitely be booking another week here!

Amazing weather was great, the kitchen was fully stocked cookware was perfect and plenty of dishes. We always preparer our meals. The property was clean and ac was amazing too. One of the best I have stayed in Crystal beach.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location! The house is beautiful with everything you need. It is decorated and maintained wonderfully. I simply cannot find one thing wrong. We only wish we could’ve had a longer stay.

Super impressed with decorations and how clean the place was. You can tell the owners really care. We had a few hiccups but nothing major and they were addressed right away. One was not anyone fault but the good ole Texas humidy. Family really enjoyed this place and super close to the beach, we will be back. Thank you for having us!!

This is a very clean, well-equipped, and adorable beach home, with spectacular views, so close to the beach! We were very happy with the home during our Memorial Weekend stay as it had everything we needed, and was just an adorable beach cottage! It’s very close to the beach (second row) and has beautiful views. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, and very responsive as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Met our needs, we enjoyed our stay. We couldn't get the streaming working on the up stairs TVs. Kitchen is well stocked and has a great view of the beach/ocean. Convenient store is right down the street so it made it convenient accessible with golf cart. The golf cart rentals are right there too.

Peaceful and beautiful
The owner was great at communicating with us and the house is just as described with everything you need to have a fun and relaxing time. Do pay attention to the fact that you will be climbing steps to get to the house (as with all the houses in this area). But what awaits you when you arrive at the top is a beautiful view of the sea from the main floor and the upper floor decks. Plenty of room for your small family with two queen beds, bunk beds and a pull out couch. Easy access to the beach just down the block. With your beach parking pass you just load up the car and go. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay. We spent the weekend to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. The place was nice and cozy. The location was great and the views from the decks were awesome! The owners were very nice and made check in and check out effortless.

Cozy Beach House
My wife and I were looking to get away from the big city and just relax for a week at the beach. The Barefoot Oasis fit the bill perfectly. The owners have it decorated beautifully with a fun beach vide in warm tropical colors. My wife loved it! And so did I! We would highly recommend staying here and hope to again sometime. The owners were easy to work with and responded to questions quickly. We already miss being there!

The beach is nice for the gulf, and not crowded on the Thursday we went - busy in the afternoon, but easy to find a spot. This was a great pick for a more relaxing getaway, vs a condo in Padre.The home is relatively well maintained, and sized well for two couples and two kids. If I had to complain, it would be about minor stuff (of the "air filter needs changing" variety), and we weren't amazed by the price - but we'd happily book again, so that should tell you something.Kudos to the Waldens for maintaining such a relaxing place to get away. :)

Great Family Time
The home was clean and comfortable. Man, those sheets were amazingly soft and relaxing !!
Our family of 5 included 2 college kids and 1 teen, and we all fit great.
We arrived on a Saturday in July, so of course the beaches were crowded with lots of traffic going up and down the beach. The noise on the beach was not what we wanted, but that had nothing to do with our Hosts or the home. I think people just like being out now. (I would encourage Bolivar and Crystal Beach could limit the literal traffic flow on the beach).
That being said, when the doors were shut we could not hear the beach traffic! The next 2 days were less crowded and noisy, especially Monday, and we enjoyed a spot reading books and searching for shark teeth. Kitchen was great and available with necessities. The a/c worked great too!
(The 4 stars on listing and location relate to being in neighborhood with public beach access and what seems to be new homes built around since pictures were taken.)
The hosts were very attentive to every message I sent and welcoming like we were long-time visitors. We really enjoyed the 3rd floor deck that offered a better view and breeze.

Wonderful memories!
Lovely beach house! Quiet area, very short walk to the beach and views of the water from both sides of the gated porch. Such a great place for my 2 small grandchildren to play in the shade. The hosts were so accommodating! Highly recommend!
