About this apartment rental
Welcome to the Rocky Mountains, where beauty, adventure and convenience collide. Enjoy your stay at Peak View Chalet while overlooking one of the most beautiful views of Pikes Peak. This panorama stretches out before you as you step out the door.
The 28 acre estate is located in a gated community. You will have private access to a full size apartment which is attached to our family residence. The inside space features a bedroom with a comfy king size bed and walk-in closet. The full kitchen is well stocked so you can prepare family meals and enjoy eating together inside or out. You can watch movies on our large screen TV while lounging on our queen size pull out couch. If you are traveling with children, they are welcome to share our children's trampoline or explore new trails. There is friendly dog that also resides with us and she will make you part of her family very quickly.
You will feel like you're in your own world, yet driving down the mountain road, you go less than 5 miles to access Walmart, Woodland Aquatic Center,, the Dinosaur Resource Center, and many local restaurants. Heading down Ute Pass you quickly come to the Gazebo and pond in Green Mountain Falls, Pikes Peak Toll Road and the North Pole Amusement Park. For those who love to shop, you travel 12 miles down beautiful Ute Pass to enjoy the unique boutique shops of Manitou Springs and a little further is Old Colorado City. In 30 minutes you are in the middle of Colorado Springs and can visit the Cheyanne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the God’s or the Air Force Academy . If the ski slopes are your goal, the drive to Breckenridge is less than 100 miles over well maintained roads. A 1.5 hour drive to the The Royal Gorge is a fun way to spend the day or re-route to white water rafting in Buena Vista. Cripple Creek gambling is 30 miles away over picturesque, winding mountain roads.
For outdoor enthusiasts, you can hike from our home up to Rampart Range Road and on to Rampart Reservoir or the Northfield Reservoir. This hike is not for the fainthearted but it is beautiful. If this hike isn’t for you we have other hiking and biking trails close to our home and a short drive to Green Mountain Falls. Rock Climbing is a 20 min drive away or you can drive just outside of Woodland Park to go off-roading.
Come and enjoy some time away in the mountains at Peak View Chalet, where seclusion is attainable with the conveniences of the city.

We stayed here on our wedding weekend and it was a homey little spot that boasted gorgeous views of pikes peak! So thankful to have this place to stay so close to our wedding venue.

A terrific view, elegant apartment, clean and thoughtful with amenities! Easy access to all local attractions - within 15 min of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and the start of pikes peak road! Great price, location, access, and comfort!

If you are a dog lover, this is the place for you. The family dog is not only a lover she is a great protector of the property. Gina and Aaron were wonderful hosts as well. My wife and I really got to know them and their family on a personal level and now consider them our friends. We will definitely be staying here in the future.
Thank you, Gini and Aaron, for opening your beautiful home to us.

We stayed 2 nights here to do the Manitou Incline. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fire outside and the grill worked fine for our steak dinner. The dog was very friendly but never overbearing. The bed was very comfortable. For my 6’6” husband, the high shower and king bed were very nice. We would definitely stay here again- the view is amazing.

This place is awesome. You have a view of Pikes Peak. Gina was so easy to communicate with. Very clean and stocked with a lot of things. I love seeing her family and their dog came to visit us every night. The town of Woodlawn was nearby. I high recommend this place. Love love it!

Very clean and lots of amenities. The road up to the property is dirt and up the side of the mountain. Not awful, just unexpected. Would definitely stay here again.

Up to date furnishings and decor. Very clean and well stocked with everything needed. Wifi and Roku provided. Only down side is I had no cell service, but it is the most beautiful place I've stayed in Woodland Park. Highly recommended.

Pike View Chalet is exactly that! Wall length windows and glass door give you a fabulous view of Pikes Peak. Not to mention the spacious patio with an even closer view. The living space is super nice, with a full kitchen.

Just book it...you won't be disappointed! We loved our stay! My daughter and I took a girls trip to Colorado...the apartment had everything we needed with plenty of space and bed is super comfy! Location is ideal as it's close to many attractions and shopping (Wal Mart 5 minutes away)...yet you are off the highway and up in the mountains where you feel like no one else is around. Host was helpful and quick to respond! Would love to stay here again!

We wanted to get out of Colorado Springs and enjoy Woodland Park. We were surprised how breathtaking beautiful the views right outside the door. Gina was super helpful and friendly. We will be planning to come back soon!
It was extremely cold so we had issues with the door and gate but Gina answered and helped us within mins. Family dog is super friendly. Thank you for a peaceful and beautiful weekend!

The views from the apartment are breathtaking! The dog is sweet and greeted us outside each morning. The bed was comfortable, apartment was clean and cozy. The family lives above the unit, so we occasionally did hear footsteps above. We also were pretty hot at night even with the fans running and window open during the day.
The property is gated as the description states but we didn’t receive the gate code in our check in instructions & didn’t realize it until we drove up. Luckily someone was leaving as we arrived so we were able to get in and it wasn’t an issue. The gate info was available inside the unit once we arrived. Overall - we really enjoyed our stay. The unit is far enough away to feel secluded but it was such a close drive to restaurants and the grocery store!

I can't express how great this place was. We were so happy to stay here. Gina was great... Above and beyond. We were here for my husband's birthday and Gina helped me make the trip so special. We had flowers and balloon upon arrival. She also had the bed decorated with roses. My husband was thrilled. We miss Guidance the dog already! Guidance will be your welcoming committee. A few points to be aware of: the road has recently had new gravel put down, drive slow. It takes about 7 minutes to get to the house after you turn off the main road. It was perfect for us! I don't think you need a four wheel drive or truck to get up the road. We were in a small SUV and was perfectly fine. The family that owns the home does live upstairs but was not an issue for us. Gina was there to answer all my questions and she will help you with anything you might need. Just ask. We will definitely be back. The biggest down side would be that a screen door would be nice or a way to open the front door and allow the air through. We were there and left door open a few times but couldn't for long. We did hear footsteps from upstairs but still so much better than a hotel. This will be our go-to place each year.
Thanks Gina! You were great!
Thank you,
Tawnya M.

Had a great stay, awesome views of pikes peak! Property was clean and easy to find

Great overall. Owner very hospitable and helpful. Very steep unpaved grade. Owner helped us by using a 4wd to pull our popup to the unit. Without pop-up we managed with our Honda van.

We had some trouble finding the property.
I called the host and she answered my questions immediately, so then we found the apartment without any issues. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to what we wanted to see. We would recommend the property as the view was beautiful as well as the accommodations!

Great place to stay. You have a fantastic view of Pikes Peak. The host was great to communicate with if you had any questions. If you have any mobility issues, there are steps leading down to the front door. We highly recommend this place.

The space was clean and well equipped. The view was spectacular. The road to the property was fine and I think it has been recently repaired since other reviews. We had a minor issue with the gate when we tried to leave one morning. The owners dog was always there and wanted us to let her in. That was not a problem for us. The only negative is I felt that we were sharing the house with the family. It was not as private as I expected considering we were so far up in the mountains. The location was beautiful and convenient and great communication with the owner.

I had a lovely stay here while I was in town for the Pikes Peak Marathon. The view can't be beat and the accommodations were perfect. I especially enjoyed the incredibly comfy bed and pillows after a long day!

Gina's apartment was very clean with new appliances and furniture. The other reviews aren't exaggerating how beautiful the space is - we had our coffee out on the patio looking at Pike's Peak every morning. I would recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the house, and if you use Apple Maps, it might take you a bit further than the house. For some reason, our GPS took us to a property further up the mountain, and since we were getting in after dark, we surprised the neighbors. The check in process was very easy once we found it, though! They were very responsive and had great hiking recommendations. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed being able to come back after a day of adventure and relax at this wonderful property. We especially liked sitting outside with the view. The kitchen and bath were also well stocked for basic needs.

First of all, the view is incredible! My husband and I enjoyed our coffee on the patio every morning and in the evening after hikes, we would just relax and take in the incredible beauty of Pikes Peak. The rental is very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Gina is quick to get back to you if you have any questions. The drive up the mountain to the rental is pretty cool and we were thankful to have Jeep. The owners live in the chalet and the rental is in their basement. Last but least, you'll have the sweetest dog greet you when you arrive! We gave her a few treats while we there and she went on a walk with us too! You will not be disappointed renting this place. My husband and I loved it!

My husband, dad and I really enjoyed our stay! The view was breathtaking! It was a great location for everything we wanted to do. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals and the bed was very comfortable! Definitely would stay here again!

We were surprised at the remote location. Very clean. The hostess was very accommodating to our requests. A screen door on front door would be nice as there was very little breeze through the apt without the front door opened. Some confusion about Wi-Fi access.
5.0
The pictures in the listing does not compare to standing there in person. It is impossible to capture the actual beauty of staying here. There is a perfect view of Pikes Peak right from the front door. Sitting out on the patio in the mornings was breathtaking and peaceful. It is just far enough from the highway to not hear any traffic noises, but close enough to local stores and restaurants.
The hosts were very accommodating and very responsive. They had great suggestions for local restaurants which were all fantastic. (Fusion Japan is great if anyone stays) The property was extremely clean and had every amenity we could possibly need. Their wonderful dog was always there to greet us in the mornings and whenever we came back at night. . If you want to be away from the traffic, but want to be close to local attractions, this is the perfect place. If I ever come back to this area, I will definitely be staying here again.

One of the best views of Pikes Peak in the area.

Beautiful views from patio and living room which enjoyed every morning and evening along with the owners sweet dog. Everything was very clean/immaculate and the decor was current and comfortable. Spacious and roomy for two people. The King bed is very nice with lots of pillows and blankets and nice walk in closet. The owners and their 4 children live upstairs with the Vrbo on the bottom level. The family is very nice and helpful with suggestions if asked and with the nice separation of space we had plenty of privacy. Basic supplies were good but just noting - Not a lot of shampoo/conditioner, there's coffee and sugar but no creamer, Overall - Excellent and would stay here again and highly recommend!!!!

This area was just BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am so glad we stayed here and were able to take in so much beauty of the area. I highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment feels very private even though it is attached to the main house. The view is spectacular! The apartment had everything we needed and more and was very clean and organized. The host family is super sweet and was very responsive before and during our stay. They let us use their pack-n-play for our toddler to sleep in, which was a huge help. The property was very secluded but still a very close drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions. We would definitely consider staying again if we return to Colorado Springs!
