About this cottage rental
Newly remodeled cottage located less than half a block from the Oceano Dunes State Park Recreation area. Two bedrooms, one bath with a sleeper sofa in the living room, and a twin pull out in one bedroom. Internet provided with Smart TV's in both bedrooms and living room. Pets are welcome with a pet fee. Enjoy the attached patio with propane BBQ and seating for 8. Completely sanitized after every visit for your health and safety. Come enjoy the "SLO life". This property is available for leasing month to month or for a 30-day period.

We stayed at Dana’s property while the rest of our family was camping at the Oceano state campground and it was perfect! It was the perfect distance from the beach, super comfortable, and cute! We had an issue where we got locked out but the property manager immediately responded and helped us out. It was a great stay and we enjoyed it!

This cute house accommodate us perfectly, close to the beach, perfect place for ours dogs and the host was incredible. She helped us with so many little things on where to go what to do or make us have a great vacation so we had one of our best vacations ever. We love this town and we will definitely stay at this place again.

Lovely, cozy cottage only 1/2 block to the beach. Great kitchen set-up which we appreciated. Everything was wonderful and we plan to return for our next trip to the Central Coast.

Gorgeous kitchen to make my Cal Poly Mustang happy with some home cooked meals. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Beds were very comfortable. Our pup loved his stay too with the perfect patio for him to enjoy! Steps from the beach for great dog/people walks. It’s right where the cars can drive on the beach so not our favorite for spending the day at but Pismo beach is just down the road. We will say aging for sure! The property manager was great and responded very quickly to the couple questions I had. Thanks for a great place to stay!!

“Cottage” isn’t an accurate description. It is a small duplex. The beach that is nearby was within walking distance but was filled with atv’s, trucks and camp trailers so just know that ahead of time if you’re looking for a place to hang out with your kids. The duplex was clean, kitchen was nicely stocked and the location was centrally located so it was easy to leave and explore the coast.

I absolutely loved the property and kitchen was to die for! The shower was a little small but that was because the square footage is devoted mainly to the living room and kitchen areas so I can’t complain. :)

We stayed 6 nights, the unit is small square footage wise, but all space is utilized to the best advantage. We would recommend this unit and plan to go back in the future

This property met all our needs. It is in a great location. The ocean is 2 min walk away. It’s modern yet appropriate for the area.
The communication was amazing. The area is quiet for us older people.

The location is amazing. The alleyway is very private and shields from the noise going down the Pier Ave beach entrance. I don’t have any complaints. Make sure to bring some of the essentials for yourself like body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Other than that, I thought it was perfect for our family to be central to the area.

This is such a cute little vacation rental! I wish we stayed longer. Bring your own soaps, none except handwash provided. Kitchen looked stocked with necessities.
Location is near perfect - steps away from walking on the beach, convenience store only steps away. Unit is also on backside of a dual unit, so no street noise. Parking is off street and easy.

We enjoyed our stay in the cute, ocean themed cottage. Cooked up a few meals in the well equipped kitchen. Great location - close to the beach, parks and all the cool places my nephew had planned for our weekend visit.

This was exactly what we needed. Location was perfect for us because we have family camping on the beach and we didnt need to drive a long way back and forth to spend our days with them. We will definitely stay here again!

The location is a bit off the beaten path but is close to the ocean. It was super cute inside and out just in a weird location. All went well and we enjoyed our stay!

This place is small but the layout is efficient, and the location is hard to beat. One note: This is steps from the part of the beach where people drive vehicles onto it, so if you’re into that this is it!

We had a blast on our short time here in the Five Cities area. The property is located super close to the entrance to the Dunes. Made for an easy walk to the beach. I loved the convenience of having a restaurant nearby. Seriously just a 2 minute walk. The cottage was perfect for me and my three teen boys. Nicely upgraded. Felt safe and easy parking in/out of the property. The only thing missing was bath amenities (not that big a deal), so be sure to bring shampoo/conditioner, Kleenex, etc. The boys and I are hoping to come back up soon. Great to know this place exists!

It was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The check in process was super easy and it was easy to find. We came in late. It is close to the Pismo dunes and close to downtown Pismo as well. Very clean and cozy with privacy on the patio. Definitely would stay again.

We had a lovely time in the area. The apartment is great for 2 people, for 4 it seems a little small. Clean, well equipped kitchen, beds comfortable. The street is busy, all kinds of cars are driving to the State Vehicular Recreation Area at Oceano Dunes. Still, the rooms are backwards and its rather quiet, at least at night.
The beach (with cars) is only some steps away, you can walk on the beach in both directions for a long time, the dunes and the beach are wonderful. Great sunsets every day. Pismo Beach is close. We particularly enjoyed the Pelicans, Whales and Sea lions and the Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve (30 minutes by car). Would come again.

We had a very nice 4 night stay in the middle of August - 4 people and a 20 pound puppy. It is a great location in that it is very close to everything and walking distance. We were very comfortable. The online description and pictures are accurate.
The property manager was very responsive. There were ants at the entrance, missing blanket for the sofa sleeper (daughter slept on the couch), one roll of toilet paper, and a smell in one of the bedrooms. She took care of these items for us promptly.
Some items to note. The air vent was very much in need of replacing. It was super dirty. The shower is very tiny. The fan (we slept with it on) in the bedroom without the sleeper makes a constant clicking sound, not horrible but annoying.
It was a perfect little place for us, especially with our little pup, but not sure the location was worth the price for this stay anyway. We ended up driving everywhere as Oceano was at least 5 degrees colder than Pismo every day so we really couldn’t enjoy the walking distance beach being that it was in the mid-high 60s and cloudy/overcast every day.

The kids enjoyed family movie nights after returning to the beach and churros from Slappy’s down the street. We even grilled seafood on the bbq on our second night. We also visited Avila Valley barn to feed the animals and played at Avila Beach.
The beds were comfortable and every room is comfortable and clean. We can’t wait to come back.

Second time staying at this property and it's never a disappointment. Property is clean, cozy, nice and really close to the beach. We lock overselves and the property manager was awesome and super nice came to the rescue to unlock the door. Definitely recommend this place to stay.

Great little place!
This house was the perfect place for us! My mom and my 3 kids (age 12) and I all stayed at this house. The house was very clean, and so beautifully decorated! Checkin was smooth and easy. We had a minor glitch (not even worth mentioning what it was) the first night that was very quickly taken care of by the property manager. No other issues and we were very happy there.
Some info for people who need all the details…. Anything below that sounds negative isn’t meant to dissuade anyone from renting this house - all in all we were very, very pleased with our choice! The info below is only for information about more details than you can see in the listing.
The beds are a little firm for my taste, but I wouldn’t describe them as “hard” either. There are TONS of pillows. The sheets were VERY soft and comfy! The blinds in the bedrooms are white, so the light in the morning can be a bit bright but I just propped an extra pillow up next to my head to block it and it was fine. Everything in the house is brand new - exactly as the pictures show. The A/C worked perfectly and kept us plenty cool. The beach is definitely walking distance - my 81 year old mother walked it with no problem at all.
There are 2 actual beds, 1 full and 1 queen. There are 2 sofa beds, one double and 1 single (the couch in the bedroom is a single-size sofa bed). We only pulled out the single size sofa bed, and found that mattress to be really unusable, so I wouldn’t count on that being an actual bed for anyone if you’re wondering. We had to put the couch cushions on top of the “mattress” and one person slept on those. We didn’t pull out the sofa bed in the living room, so I have no idea what the mattress on that one is like.
The shower stall is extremely small. I’m a “big girl” and it was barely big enough for me to actually wash myself. The owner provides lots of towels - with all 5 of us we didn’t have any shortage of towels. That said, we did bring our own towels for the beach, so that we didn’t mess up the owner’s towels. That definitely helped avoid any kind of towel shortage.
The kitchen has everything you could need! All appliances worked great - we definitely used them all. Keurig coffee maker that has either a full pot or single serving choice. Lots of pots and pans, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, etc. Note that there isn’t a dishwasher, but that didn’t bother us at all. Just something to be aware of.
