We just returned after spending a month in Hau'ula. The house was great. It has a wonderful location, less than an hour from the city (Honolulu) but near many desirable places. Close enough to walk are Longs Drug store and Tamura's market for shopping; Papa Ole's, Hau'ula BBQ, North Shore Tacos and Dominos for food. Laie and Kahuku are just up the road.
We had family that went horse back riding at Gunstock Ranch, others did ziplining at Climb Works. More great food at the Kahuku Sugar Mill food trucks (try the banana bread at 7 Brothers) and fruit stands past Turtle Bay.
Enjoyed 2 trips to Kauloa Ranch seeing the movies sites in the beautiful valley.
The ocean front is perfect for swimming especially at mid tide when there are kiddie sized pools. Average snorkeling there but great snorkeling at Sharks Cove, Waimea Valley has a botanical garden and waterfall. We went to the Toa Luau twice. More activities in Haleiwa and Dole plantation are worth the drive.
The house is lovely and quaint "Hawaiian Craftsman" per my wife. Lovely home with lots of wood
details, including carved cabinet doors and transoms.
We had a couple of maintenance issues that we resolved quickly with management company and their contractors. Thanks Ed with Fix da Broke and Charlie with North Shore AC.
Everyone had a fabulous time and highly recommend this place. We already miss the ocean breezes and sandy toes.

Despite a beautiful location for a lovely family vacation, several issues that detracted from the experience should be considered:
1) construction at the adjacent property, which persisted for the full month and should be considered as greater than slight annoyance. This included sharp materials strewn on the lawn, extreme noise levels that detracted from the ability to enjoy the front yar (often occurring outside of the states “quiet hours” for the property
2) safety concerns due to malfunctioning gates and doors

Great property in rural Oahu. Outdoor space outstanding - from patio with furniture and direct access to beach; grass area a nice touch; always some shade on the property. Upstairs lanai with chairs lovely for morning coffee. Inside very clean and well appointed. Great for family get together.

Heavenly Hauula
We had a wonderful time reconnecting with family at this beautiful old Hawaii home. The configuration of the home with each floor having a separate entrance worked very well for us. There were several gathering places both inside and out where we could congregate. The home has a beautiful, large deck facing the ocean that we enjoyed any and all times of the day. The location on the beach is spectacular. We looked forward to our beach walk every day and never tired of the beautiful views. We even saw whales breaching farther out in the ocean! We took it as a very good sign that locals enjoyed the configuration of rocks in front of the home (the alligator) that offered fun places to explore when the tide went out and a safe place for little ones to play in the water. We made so many acquaintances on the beach. Everyone was very friendly.
We had to call the office a few times for some minor issues related to the house and each time people were friendly and responsive. I have to give a special shout out to Ed, the person in charge of fixing anything that needed to be taken care of. He was very skilled, friendly and prompt. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this lovely spot again!

We loved the view. Very spacious and comfy home. My favorite was the design of the house
We found ourselves wanting to just stay home at sit and watch the waves instead going out into town. The house was so easy to live in. We missed the house as soon as we drove away. This house was probably the cutest designed house we've ever rented. We would love to come back someday very soon.

Great place on the beach!
We loved our stay! The house is amazingly located on the Beach. The lawn is fantastic, particularly for kids and bbq’s. There is an amazing tide pool directly outside the house that is perfect for young kids - safe and gentle swimming. A great house for a larger family or a number of friends.

Beautiful and functional property
This house has incredible access to a beach that's great for swimming and snorkeling. The house itself is nice as well, with a great kitchen, lots of beds, and everything you'd need for extended stays. The management company was able to help us with a few issues that came up, with some insects and garbage disposal. We did have to make some improvements to the place, like improving the router, but this was well worth it based on the base-level quality of the place. Overall, great value, I'd recommend staying here!
