We were primarily in town for the Ironman 2024 but decided to make it a mini vacation. Property is easy to find and within reasonable walking and biking distance to downtown Lake Placid (a bit uphill). The property is closely located to the start of the new Adirondack Rail Trail and within easy biking distance to Henry's Woods and Heaven Hill for flowy MTB, hiking, or cross-country skiing.
The property part of a subdivision, has two parking spaces allocated for vehicles, and is built on a hill (be ready for wooden stairs to reach the front door, down to enter, up to exit). The structure itself has two sets of stairs, being 3 levels, with a walk-out basement to a small, covered porch and a small balcony from the living room.
The kitchen is adequately appointed and includes an outdoor grill and outdoor table/chairs. Indoor dining will comfortably seat six; eight is cozy. The kitchen floor needs repair with cracked/raised wood grain tiles, a portion of which is covered with packing tape as an interim repair.
Bedrooms are of comfortable size with foam mattresses. The dining room, living room and bedrooms are equipped with window air conditioning units (we visited in summer). There is a washer and dryer for use. All linens and towels were provided.
We did have an issue with the door lock after about a day, but the owner responded quickly to our needs.
Overall the property was comfortable and suited our needs for the stay.

My friend and I used this as a base to do some hiking in the High Peaks. The place was clean and very comfortable. The owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Downtown Lake Placid is not a far walk and had plenty of restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

Upon arrival we were not impressed with the constant oder of maple syrup in the kitchen and dining rooms despite washing table and kitchen floors. Small water leakage in the half bath throughout our stay made using it an inconvenience. However, owner sent a plumber to investigate and fix if possible. The workman said it was condensation and not waste. The grill was unusable due to age and decaying parts. The owner had a brand new grill installed the next day which we appreciated as we grill often. There was only one tv. Water drained very slow in the bathtub shower causing a water build up and sloshing in several inches of water. Overall stay was good along with great location.

Property could use some updates, but overall it was a great place to stay. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, and bath towels were plenty. A short drive from the Olympic center and all that downtown has to offer. Would visit again! Lake Placid was beautiful!

We were able to walk into town everyday which was very enjoyable. The townhouse met our needs. There is some room for updates but everything we needed was there.

Great stay in Lake Placid
We had a great stay over in this property. Literally couldn’t be a better location, short walk to downtown and located in a quiet neighborhood. I only needed to call the owner once for help with directions to find the place and he answered right away and got us straight. Four stars for check in because the physical address is for 3-4 units and we didn’t get the unit number until I called; like I said though we got the straight very quickly and after that everything was good.

Cozy and comfortable
Obviously, these owners think like renters. We had fully stocked paper products, everything necessary to use the kitchen, and delicious maple syrup!

January visit
All was in order.we did not avail ourselves of the game room/ bunk beds (foosball!) or porch/ patio but glad to note them. There is a little 'kids' hand dulcimer there but presently out of tune, looked for the tuning device.Against all else, a minor detail if one did not have music in mind. Close to Main St shopping /dining.
