Tucked away among the evergreens on the beautiful shores of Moosehead Lake, this comfy cabin is full of warm, natural woods lovingly handcrafted by the original owner. The fine Norwegian craftsmanship embodies the quintessential character of Maine's North Woods. Sip your morning coffee on the covered porch while overlooking the lake through wispy pines. Prepare hearty Northwoods breakfasts in the fully-equipped kitchen and enjoy chilly nights playing board games around the dining room table in this warm cabin.
The master bedroom has windows on three sides to allow in sweet breezes and soft loon calls to lull you to sleep. The sleeping loft, overlooking the living and dining room, offers its own bathroom and wonderful cross breezes over the custom-made double bed. The lower bedroom offers another double bed where you can wake up to lake views, loons calls, and passing wildlife.
The large lot is an outdoor enthusiast's dream offering a private pebble beach with gorgeous views of the Burnt Jacket and Big Moose Mountains across picturesque Beaver Cove and beyond. Watch the kids on the custom Adirondack chairs along the shoreline or call everyone in for lunch at the lakeside picnic table. After sundown, there’s an outdoor stone fireplace near the water to gather around for s'mores and scary stories.

Beautiful location, beautiful ammenedies!! Couldn't have asked for a better stay!!

The cabin was perfect for a relaxing and romantic getaway. We enjoyed sitting by the lake with our feet in the water, watching the sun set. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed grilling on the deck. The home is so cozy and comfortable, we are definitely hoping for a return visit!

Unfortunately the basement is too wet so that it cannot be used as a bedroom. As we were only a family with two adults and three children that was still good.
Otherwise the house is great and we enjoyed our time at the lake 😊
The area around the house is wonderful and there are kajaks for the kids.

The property is idyllic. It is tucked away on the shores of the lake with one of the best pebble beaches on the lake (only exception might be some of the remote pebble beaches accessible by boat only!) The cabin was tidy and charming. The property offers privacy with neighbors only on one side. The kitchen is huge and offers plenty of space to prepare meals. It’s a true gem. Knowing the original builder of the camp, it’s nice to see it remains in good hands and is available to others to make lasting memories at Moosehead Lake.

We loved our stay on the gorgeous lake. Our private piece of beach was perfect. While we didn’t see a moose, we enjoyed looking for one. Our only note is that the “third bedroom” is really just the basement. We were glad to not have another couple as that room had a horrible musty basement smell that would have made it impossible to stay in. Otherwise, the property was perfect.

Rustic but comfortable, fairly roomy cabin on quiet Beaver Cove at Moosehead Lake. Accessible pebble beach with dock, 2 kayaks, and a great outdoor fireplace. Nearby Greenville is a nice little tourist town, and the real Maine is not far away. Would rent again, for longer next time.

Stayed for the weekend with our sons, 14 and 4. The weather wasn’t great, but we watched a movie and played games before exploring Greenville. The additional bed downstairs was great, allowing us to separate the kids for bed. We loved the kayaks and paddle board, and we got about 15 feet from a pair of loons. I appreciated “the little things”, a few hodge podge toys and books that kept our four year old entertained all afternoon, the cozy blankets on the couch, the collection of movies, and grill on the porch. A lovely home away from home, would love to come back and visit again!

The cabin is beautiful and the history behind it is lovely, the property and the lakefront are perfect, and it has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation. Every single aspect of the description is accurate. We definitely hope to be back!

The house was great. Beautiful spot on pebble beach. The only thing we didn't like was the mattress in the upstairs bedroom was very old and uncomfortable. Other than that the house was perfect.

My husband & I celebrated our 42 Anniversary & this place was perfect. All the amenities needed for a perfect stay! Bed was amazing. Waterfront spectacular & we even took the Kayaks out for a beautiful fall foliage afternoon ride on the lake. WIFI worked great, so we could take care of our business while away. This cabin is so unique and built by the loving hands of a couple who did it all. Perfection!

Such a beautiful spot. We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was so cute and so clean, we saw alot of wildlife, moose and deer were the big hits! Highly recommend others to enjoy a stay in the North Maine Woods!

We’ve rented many Moosehead camps over the years and this is among the best. Spacious house, comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, great beach and dock. Very charming place—definitely deserves the five stars.

Beautiful, clean cabin on gorgeous grounds. The lake view is unbeatable. Totally private and peaceful.

The property was just as described - well maintained and decorated, well stocked with all the essentials, and in close proximity to everything the southern end of Moosehead Lake has to offer.
The only negative (and this has nothing to do with the property), just a "heads up" for anyone wishing to visit the area - the roads are very poor. The paved roads are in major need of repair (in a constant state of frost heave) and there are many dirt roads that are even worse with numerous pot holes, ruts, etc. An SUV, truck or Jeep would be the vehicles of choice; a car is not recommended.

We stayed here for a week in September and we felt like we were home away from home. The camp was immaculate, the staff was responsive and we can't wait to go back. Thank you for a great experience!
