Overall this place was wonderful. Comfy beds, lots of space. The large deck overlooking the beautiful property, mountain breezes aplenty, takes melts your stresses and cares away. You could not ask for a better spot for a large group. There are no negative surprises. The property is as beautiful as it looks, literally everywhere you look. It’s about a 45 minute drive to a grocery store and local attractions. The drive is also beautiful, mountain switchbacks and all. The place could use some TLC, but the owner seems like the type that will address these things. I would come back, and would recommend.

Our family had the best vacation at this lovely home! There is so much space for large groups whether you want to relax indoors or hang out outdoors on the playground, volleyball court or putting green. The hot tub was also a popular spot as well! The kids loved the loft and we all congregated there at night to play pool. The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge, 2 microwaves, a huge stove and lots and lots of counter space. I loved the quick responses when I had questions before and during my stay…the communication was outstanding. If we ever visit Chattanooga again…we will definitely stay here and you should too!

A Great, Spacious House and Property for a large group. House needs some maintenance and upkeeping. One recomendation is to replace the pots and pans and provide larger pots to accomodate a group - the house can accomodate a large group but the largest pot was a 5qt pot and even that was not in good shape. The refrigerator, microwave were top of the line but there was no blender.

My mother, her 7 children, and their families were able to celebrate together, 5 years after her major stroke.
The home is absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the 5 days we spent there and could have stayed longer. The shoe-free policy quickly proved necessary on the dark wood floors and we adapted to the unique, but accommodating space. We were a party of 33, from age 80 to 6. We had to be creative in our lodging but everything worked out well.
Some notes:
The piano is beautiful, but in dire need of repairs, not just tuning. It is not playable.
The 1 bed in the yellow bedspread room was broken, 'repaired" but ultimately was a mattress on the floor.
There were random chair legs missing and loose tiles in the kitchen. The high and stationary doors/windows in main living area leaked under heavy rain. Various water spouts and handles came off but were easily reattached.
However, none of this discouraged is or would keep us from renting again ❤️
Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Since my Dad passed in 2017 we have made every effort to get both sides of our family together for Christmas to just spend time away from everything. This property fit the bill perfectly. We had 15 adults with plenty of space. With ages ranging from 22 to 82, everyone had their place. Close enough to see the sights, but far enough away to see the shooting stars at night from the back deck. Lovely property.

It was a little out of thw way for alot we wantedto do in the area but not too bad! Rather inconvenient not being able to wear dhoes indoors. Ovens were nasty! Had not been cleaned for a long while! Ice maker in kitchen kept blocking up!

This property is amazing for family gatherings. So many outside and inside games to play, abundant sitting and eating areas, stocked well with all the essentials. Very clean. All the sunshine coming in and access to the back were amazing. Plan to stay again for a family reunion.

The Pines at Signal Mountain was exactly what our large group (13) adults needed for our annual long weekend trip. Incredibly spacious, clean, well stocked, private and quiet, and lots of options to keep everyone entertained.
Everything was as advertised, and communication with the hosts was quick, clear, and friendly. The only small concern we had during our time was the ladders up to the loft beds were very steep and a little scary for those scared of heights. But it was a minor issue.
I would have no concerns with booking this property again, or recommending to friends and family.

We were racing in IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga 2023 and needed a big house as we wanted to be together but at the same time wanted over own space to rest and recover. This place was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the stay. Nice views, quite and plenty of space. The place does look beaten up and could use some TLC.

This house was very spacious! It had large areas for gathering as groups as well as small pockets to disappear to if you needed alone time. The owner and management service were extremely polite and responsive. The house was super clean and stocked with items like firewood and Keurig pods. There was plenty to do around the property like go into Chattanooga or go hiking on one of the many local trails; even as adults, we enjoyed playing on the playset behind the house.
We were disappointed that the hot tub was not usable--the room it was in had an overwhelming strong fish smell and the hot tub had mold around it. There were small repairs that needed to be made throughout the house, and not enough towels were laid out for the number of us who were staying.
Overall, though, we had an amazing weekend in this home!

Our college lacrosse team of 20 stayed at this property for a week while on a spring break trip to play two games in Tennessee. The house was wonderful for our group - spacious bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchen space. It was great for the whole team to be able to fit into the living room to meet, watch film, etc. Communication was excellent and check in/out were easy. Great place to stay with a large group!

We enjoyed the propriety and this amazing setting. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and enjoy all the indoor and outdoor space.
Indoors there are several items that need replaced, repaired and even updated. Many of the appliances are broken and really need replaced.
The greatest concern is the sent of gas in the kitchen, it feels unsafe.
The grill in the deck had 4 tanks of propane but they were all empty. Made it hard to finish our diner once the gas ran dry.
In saying all that we really did enjoy to location and the area has a lot to offer a family to enjoy attractions or just stay at the home play mini golf, volleyball etc…
Thank you once the repairs are made this can be a true 4-5 star location.

The house fit our family's needs wonderfully. Plenty of common areas to spread out and visit comfortably. Bedrooms were spaced out so no one felt they were on top of each other. Property is beautiful!

Spacious house with lots to offer for a fun family reunion
Large and roomy, with plenty of space to spread out or gather for activities. Pictures accurately show the space- it actually feels larger in person. Lots of great activities on site: lawn golf, putt-putt, croquet, volley ball, playground with climbing features. There's a hose to support sprinkler fun in the back yard, a pool table inside and pong pong in the garage. Areas for improvement/awareness:
- There is signage which requests no shoes in the house, which make sense. However, be aware that the floor transition strips between rooms stick up with rough edges which tripped up the children (toddlers in particular- so bring your gripper socks!)
- The kitchen range vents into the basement which has a swampy smell, so concerns about mold/mildew, although none directly noted (we did not explore the basement).
- Appliances on site which don't work/work as expected: toaster oven (turns on, but doesnt get hot enough to toast or heat food) upper oven (turns on, but doesn't get hot enough to re-heat or cook- the lower oven is fine), downstairs dryer (turns on, but doesn't start) and built in espresso machine (tray is missing which disables the machine). There were plenty of alternatives on site, so these were all ultimately minor inconveniences easily circumvented once we were aware.
- Athough pretty clean upon arrival, the house was quickly invaded by bugs despite efforts to manage the doors and clean up regularly- mostly ants, flies, moths and crickets, so nothing terrible. There are mops and brooms on site as well as dish soap, dish washer detergent packets and laundry detergent, however I recommend bringing additional cleaning supplies for wiping down surfaces and any mopping needed.
The property managers were superbly welcoming and responsive throughout our visit. It was a pleasure working with them throughout and would definitely recommend them for any trips you plan to take. My family and I really enjoyed the space and the experience. Thank you!

We had an awesome vacation!
We very much enjoyed our stay. I would suggest that the property owner schedule a maintenance person to go in asap and fix a few minor things such a burnt out light bulbs, broken door knobs, big windows leaking when it rains on main floor, broken swing on playground, stove smells like it has a small leak, and garage door is ajar. This is a great property with lots of amenities. Loved the bluetooth speaker in the big bathroom wish there was one of those installed in the hot tub room as well...............Tip to fellow travelers...... FYI....if taking Taft Hwy to Anderson Pike...beware if not used to crazy mountain roads....Anderson PIke is SCAREY to say the least!!!!

Needs a little TLC
Beautiful property, great space.
We loved seeing the wildlife daily (turkeys and deer mostly) and our kids loved all the space (in and outside) to roam and play.
The hot tub was nice but there was sign stating we were not allowed to open the doors to the exterior which was a disappointment.
Definitely needs some TLC. We did have to make a request for some maintenance items upon arrival. Also, the smell in the kitchen mentioned in a prior review was still present.
Overall we enjoyed our time here but the lack of care for the property has diminished some of its glory.

A disappointing experience
The house itself is beautiful. The outside doesn't disappoint, and the inside is very beautifully furnished. Unfortunately that's where this positive review ends.
Overall it was pretty rough weekend. On the first evening we realized the water pressure upstairs was very poor and that the tub in the master leaks. The hot tub didn't work properly and therefore was basically unusable (it was a big selling point of the property). We called immediately and spoke to maintenance. The maintenance person said he'd come by to check on the hot tub and then never did. This was especially frustrating since we left someone there to wait for him.
On Saturday night we a rodent in the house, escaping into a hole in the baseboards. Additionally we noticed the morning we left that there was a very strong smell of a rodent decomposing coming from below the kitchen island. One of my guests noted that she'd noticed it on Friday, but hadn't said anything (she used to work at the Body Farm so she knows what the smell is) because she wasn't positive that's what it was.
It did not feel like a 5-star weekend, which was especially disappointing since the house is so nice online in pictures. It didn't feel particularly well-maintained, or that our concerns were addressed while we were there. The staff is very kind and responsive, but ultimately didn't do much about our concerns.
We still managed to enjoy ourselves, that said it was unfortunate that it felt like we paid for amenities and an experience we didn't really get to have as envisioned.

Great house, especially for a large group!
The house was great for a weekend stay with family, and we would definitely come back to stay again. We booked the house on short notice for my family and my brother's family. There were 11 of us in total (4 adults, and 7 kids).
The house is massive (the pictures and description don't do it justice), and easily could've accommodated a group double our size!! There are lots of things to do at the house; billiards, ping pong, hot tub, playground outside for the kids; with plenty of room so you don't feel cramped.
The reason for the 4-star and not 5-star is because the upstairs heat was not working when we arrived (the temps dipped into the teens that night), and it wasn't resolved until our last day at the house. They did provide space heaters for the upstairs bedrooms on the second night. There was also a minor issue with the mechanism in the door handle to the loft area that wasn't working during our stay.
These issues aside, the house really is great and it's in a very unique location outside of Chattanooga.

Great place for multiple families who need to burn some energy
We needed a place for 4 adult siblings and their families for a week. It needed to have space for us and flexibility for if we wanted to room as families or have the cousins share separate from the adults. The rooms were large enough and close enough together that we could have roomed but families but once the kids saw the loft beds the decision was made for us. There was even a room under the loft for the kids too skittish for the ladders.
Two common challenges I find with VRBO homes is that they are staged or furnished in such a way that my blood pressure soars trying watching my kids around glass tables or hutches or decorative elements in narrow halls. This house avoids that issue in two ways: broad hallways and open spaces without “grandma’s house” decorations, and large outdoor space with playground and games. Mini golf (not actually a course but a few holes on relatively flat ground — except one huge tunnel), volleyball, a playground, frisbee golf, and ladder golf were enjoyed by the pre-teens. Young teens and tweens enjoyed riding on a sort of seated scooter provided in the garage.
For rainy days, there’s a pool table, a bumper table, and a deck of cards and poker chips. We planned ahead and brought more card and board games (this is one of the few areas where they can improve). The hot tub was popular for adults and children alike.
The dining room table is large enough that we could all eat together, and the kitchen has a full suite of pots and bowls in addition the standard silverware, plates, bowls, and cups. Additionally, there’s a grill on the patio immediately adjacent to the kitchen.
The location is a half hour from Chattanooga (a little longer if you’re more cautious on mountain roads). We visited the Aquarium and Ruby Falls. The biggest location downside is that the house is in the Central time zone while Nooga is Eastern. It’s not terribly challenging but needs to be kept in mind.
The management company was welcoming and very responsive to our texts. When we got to the house we needed some minor repairs and help finding some amenities and they replied quickly and sent someone over to fix it.
Everything I’ve included in this review are things we actually tried. There were other amenities that we didn’t take advantage of. Overall this house probably had more rooms than we needed, but the outdoor activities and open indoor space and closeness to Chattanooga made it great stay for a 3 generation family.

Overall good/needed some attention
Beautiful!! Lovely home. A few things needed attention. The front rail was rickety and we had a handicapped person needing to use it. Beer cans overflowing left in trash out back from previous tenants. Window pane broken by hot tub (there was a sign). Only 1 towel per person not enough. Thermostat not able to be changed. It was very cold. Broken handle in one of the bathrooms. Not trying to be picky, but wanting to give accurate feedback. Thank you!

Everything about our stay was excellent. From communication and check-in process to the serene setting and attention to detail of the home and furnishings. We enjoyed a small family gathering but there was room for an entire large family with multiple master suites and bathrooms. The drive in was on a gravel road but it is well maintained. The neighbors waved at us as we drove by and the locals at every establishment we went to were nice and helpful. There is even a full-service gas station down the road. Don’t see that much anymore! The property is secluded and private and one of our favorite things... You can go outside at night and head nothing at all! Peace and quiet! Something city-dwellers such as ourselves enjoy when we can get it. It rained on one of the days of our stay but it wasn’t a big deal. The size of the house meant that the kids can run around d and play without disturbing the adults. Too many great things about our stay to mention here. If you’re thinking about it we recommend going ahead and going for it. We did and we were not disappointed. We will be back!

The place was great overall. There were a few hiccups most notably not being able to get the temperature right in the master bedroom but other than that it was a great place.
