We had a direct view over rice fields, palm trees and the notorious mount Merapi, which was especially visible in the mornings and late afternoons. The breakfast was also diverse, with a different local meal each day. Most of all we liked the friendly and helpfull staff :-)
A mosquito net for the bed would have been nice, but otherwise we had a really good time

Stunning view of merapi from our room! Favourite place to stay so far. Was worried we wouldn't have WiFi or be able to get food easily because it is a Lil far from main roads but there is a small warung there and was able to get food delivered. WiFi is good and room was clean and big. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Will be back! Terima kasih ❤️❤️❤️❤️

if you looking for nature right in front of your door, so welcome to jembarati. i like the smell of the grass and the view of merapi.
actually the room is just okay, well its a traditional suite so you can't expect something fancy. but cleaner better. and it is village but the sound of the motorcycle was crazy, so its not a quite place that i want.

The Merapi Mountain View is magnificent, we have never seen anything like that clear with Merapi before (stayed in different accommodation in Yogya that offers Merapi View as well).
The staff members starting from the night guards, welcoming officer/caretaker, lady cleaner, their private farmer and the breakfast maker are excellent and super friendly.
The house is cute and mixing traditional touch/vintage looking knick-knacks with modern equipment. We stayed in a huge studio 1 bedroom house with extra bed, plenty of spaces.
It is dark at night with dimmed light, the house is too big just for the two of us, distance from bedroom to bathroom is a bit far for me and hazardous with the holes on old wooden floor. I am scared of the dark (outdoor shower and toilet).
No airconditioner, it is quite ok in the night if its breezy/windy, but definitely not comfortable on daytime with the heat. The air is fresh because of the vegetation and water surrounding the house, but mosquito, flies and ants
Ventilations all over the house is big enough for bugs and insects to come in to the house eventhough we closed doors and windows.
Roads to get there is again: dark and twisty. We got a little bit lost though we quite enjoy the adventurous feelings. Lucky our driver is with us, if not: I would turn around because I will be a bit scared.

the tranquility,
living amongst a farming community close to Merapi
the restaurant which was a separate business closed at 17:00... a little early. although it does get dark not long after 18:00 and being in the middle of nowhere you may as well go to bed!!
