About this house rental

The Location - This fantastic family holiday house is situated in the peaceful suburb of Boat Harbour, rich in natural beauty, rocky headlands and secluded beaches. There are fantastic views from the house looking out to the National Park and ocean. Take a walk down to the Boat Harbour rocks which is one of the best places to view passing whales during May and November. The popular and beautiful One Mile Beach (patrolled) is only 1km away or less if you take the bush track across the road from the house. Boat Harbour beach is also only 1km away and has calmer waters. The closest shops are at Anna Bay which is 2.5km from the house, here you will find an IGA, bakery, butchers, News agents, take-away's etc. Nelson Bay CBD is 8km away.

The House - This stunning and immaculately presented family home offers a versatile floor plan, light filled interiors, neutral colour palette and an abundance of character and warmth. Set over two levels, featuring multiple living, kitchen, dining and alfresco areas. The upper level boasts a lovely open plan air conditioned living, dining and kitchenette which encompasses the expansive wrap around undercover balcony fitted with furnishings and offering amazing ocean views and breezes. Entertaining is made easy as the living area is fitted with a mounted projector and drop down TV screen to watch all your favourite movies and sport. The upper level also features two bedrooms, the huge master suite comes complete with a king size bed, walk in robe, open spa bath in the bedroom with a separate ensuite including a shower. The other bedroom offers a queen size bed and built in robes which is adjacent to the upper level bathroom complete with shower, vanity and toilet.

The lower level boasts the main air conditioned open plan living (with TV), kitchen and dining area. There is access to another covered balcony which seamlessly merge the living and outdoor areas for optimum entertaining. The fully equipped kitchen comprises of a wrap around bench top and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine (however, guests need to bring their own Nescafe pods). There are four bedrooms on the lower level, the largest room offers beautiful bay windows with a king size bed, walk-in robe and ensuite with shower. Two other rooms offer queen size beds and built in robes, with one of the rooms fitted with a wall mounted TV and the sixth bedroom is fitted with two king single beds and built-in robes. There is also a spacious central three-way bathroom complete with a standard size bath, separate shower, vanity and toilet.

Other features to this fantastic family home includes Wi-Fi, an internal laundry with a washing machine, and a small rear courtyard. There is four off street parking spaces (sorry but garage is not for guest use), the driveway in front of garage to the left of the house and a carport and driveway to the right of the house with room to park a boat too.

Please note: This property is suitable for two families or an extended family as it is located in a family orientated beachside suburb. This property has a strict no schoolies, no gatherings or Party Policy.

Great house with plenty of space for the whole family. Great views from upstairs. Only thing we didn’t like was how hard the beds were. Could use some mattress toppers but other than that the place was awesome.

The property is fairly new and has a lovley view, being high up in the top of a hill. Location is good with short drives to most attractions and shops in and around Port Stephens. It was sufficient bedding for all of us (10 adults). Rooms downstairs are rather small and no air condition, only fans, but the cord was too short to use with the only power point behind the bed in the room with 2 single beds, an extension cord would have been helpful. There were no tea pot or strainer for tea, but otherwise a well equiped kitchen for a large group. Recomend for a large family or a small group of friends.

Very pleased with the property. It handled 11 people easily. Cooking for 11 people had its challengers as the oven is quiet small for a 6 bedroom house esp as there is AC throughout and home theatre etc. Also needs to have hand soap and garbage bin liners for next time please. We had to go out and buy dishwashing machine tablets as there was only ONE provided.

More detailed clean of property would be beneficial. Some of the shower drains were full of hair and blocking. Some of the plates put away in the cupboard were still dirty. Council bins were on the street but not emptied. Suggest a lock box at the property as it was not the most convenient to go in and out of Nelson Bay to pick and return key.

The house was large, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The accommodation was perfect for us (5 couples). We were disappointed that our entry into the house was delayed by two hours as the cleaning was still in progress. The air-conditioning upstairs was not working which made the upstairs very hot and uncomfortable during the day. Admittedly, the agent sent the A/C Technician promptly. However the entire unit needed to be replaced so we made do with the pedestal fans on the premises. I would also suggest that remote access via a key box/PIN code to access the property would be more convenient for guests, rather than having to pick up the keys from the real estate agent's office. I would still highly recommend this house, as the issues I have mentioned can be easily rectified. It is a lovely house!

House looked great from the outside and view from upstairs was wonderful but house needs a really good clean and general maintainence is required. All 3 Televisions were not working, we notified the office on Thursday not long after we arrived and were told someone was coming to fix the problem. Never arrived! We were told on Saturday morning a "trade" was coming between 8am and 9am , we waited, no call and no one arrived. Several phone calls later, still no resolution! Blocked drains, not enough knives for 12 people. Very uncomfortable beds. Loose fittings on bathroom taps. Generally the house needs a bit of TLC
