With far reaching views over the countryside and beyond, you can watch horses roam, sheep graze, and admire the abundance of wildlife from badgers, rabbits and woodpeckers, to the geese that can often be seen flying overhead. This wonderful home from is perfect for couples and families looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday in a peaceful location. Walks through ancient woodland lead you through to a Norman church in the nearby village of Preston, with village store, butchers and restaurant. Heading in the other direction you can wander through woodlands surrounded by bluebells come spring, with a stream tempting you to dip your toes in for a paddle. The trail leads through to the village of Wickhambreaux with its delightful country pub.
Transformed from a disused agricultural barn to a beautiful barn conversion, this truly stunning holiday home offers all you could need for a break away. With Amtico parquet flooring throughout, step into the galleried hallway, with stairs leading up to a second living area with views over the countryside and offering additional sleeping for 2. Downstairs, the master bedroom features an en-suite shower room and doors leading out to a decked terrace. There are 2 additional bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one with twin beds, both served by a family bathroom with impressive freestanding bath. The stylish, open plan living area features a well-equipped kitchen, which serves as the perfect social space for enjoying a meal with family or even a champagne afternoon tea (bookable and delivered by the owner, who runs a nearby tea room). This space leads through to the primary living area with roaring wood burner, creating a cosy place to sip a glass of wine whilst watching a classic film. Bi-folding doors bring the outside in, making this a light and airy space.
Overlooking the fields beyond, the raised decked terrace wraps around the barn, with steps taking you down to the patio with dining area, barbecue and a luxurious swim spa with hot tub section (for use between 8am-9pm), where you can unwind after a day of exploring. Please also be mindful of neighbours and limit noise levels after 10pm. Bath robes are also provided, so you can wrap up warm after stepping out of the swim spa and recline with a glass of something fizzy. The historic cobbled streets of Canterbury are within a 20-minute drive, and the picturesque Kent coast is just a 15-minute drive away, with interesting Sandwich and beautiful Pegwell Bay certainly a must. Beach 9½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ miles.
