The location was fine
The cooker is not very good. Toilet cistern leaks and needed to be fixed. The sink tap in the bathroom leaks

Close to Narberth. Short walk up a steep, busy hill
Outside toilet and shower but not a problem

A different type of accommodation for us. Found the Shepherds hut very clean, cosy and inviting with a very comfortable bed. We were fully aware that there was no hot water in the hut and that it was a short walk across the drive to the shower room. The shower room was also spotless, and I actually found it quite a novelty, bit like glorified camping. It was for our own private use, I wouldn’t like to book somewhere with a shared bathroom.
Location great for visiting the nearby seaside towns and having a village on our doorstep.
Had trouble finding it!! Instructions said down the hill from Narberth, Hazel Nook is after three cottages on the left. It was actually tucked away next to 4 cottages on our right!
Also what I wasn’t told until after booking, with no cancellation policy, is that it is on a very busy main road that runs through this “peaceful “ village. That I found very disappointing. The rumble of early traffic woke us early every morning, and not the most peaceful of gardens to sit in.
The garden is enclosed, but again, I didn’t know until after the time of booking it’s not totally secure for dogs. Our dog was actually fine as we have a lab who tends not to stroll too far away from us. But I’d be very concerned about a smaller dog or one who likes to explore, being so close to such a busy road.
The owners do provide a long tether, which I think is very thoughtful, but not ideal for all dogs.

Hazel Nook is great place to stay. Peace and quiet, very cosy and comfortable, nice welcome package on arrival. Great location with only a 5 minute walk to town.
Only downfall was the lack of warm water. Had to use the kettle to wash the dishes.

Great location, good space, the Hut was comfy and there was everything you needed.

Lovely little place. Couldn't fault it . Great idea for a little holiday retreat
If i was being fussy I would say the toilet was to far away from the accommodation but that's just me .

We had the most amazing time at Hazel Nook. We were looking for a private break away and we definitely got that! We were very close to the town with lots to do and a short stay from the train station which took you into Tenby (parking for the station is free btw) Donna was very helpful and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short break away😊
Nothing, the stay was perfect!

We found the location ideal to travel around to the different areas of West Wales that we wanted to visit. The facilities were really good for what we needed, we would stay again!

Lovely cosy beautifully furnished accommodation. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Great outside garden seating area with room for the dog to run about. Great location with easy access to Saundersfoot, Tenby and the surrounding area. Excellent large private parking area away from the road and immediately next to the hut. Exceptional value for money and would love to stay again.
No hot water in hut, but kettle can be boiled to do the dishes. Sizeable gap in garden fence means garden is not totally secure for dogs. Bathroom facilities are exceptional, the only downside being they are actually closer to the neighbouring cottages than the hut itself. However, they are exclusively reserved for those staying in the hut.

What a beautiful little weekend away. My husband and I got married a month ago and with covid we fancied a little minimoon away. I'm so thankful we found you guys as it was such a lovely weekend away! The shepherds hut is so pretty and cosy! We throughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend staying here!
