Clean and well looked after accommodation
Nothing was everything we expected

Lovely views. Property nicely presented.
No road access to the property. The car parking was a way from the property so bags etc had to be carried a few yards down a road and along a path which was very soggy in the rain. The property was at the top of a steep hill, so a bit of a slog from the entertainment block.

The extras included - washing up liquid, hand-wash, body wash, tea, coffee, sugar, hand and tea towels, bath mat, milk, water, cleaning spray, hair dryer and straighteners 😁. Sea view was lovely, very clean, single beds very comfy.
Best caravan I have stayed in.

The lodge is beautifully maintained and was lovely and clean. Especially loved the welcome bits of milk and tea bags!
Too many hills! It's a good distance from the centre amenities, but be prepared, what goes down must come up! The hills are a killer for your calves!

The caravan was great! The owner has really put a lot of attention to detail and thought of the needs of a family.

There was no gas when we arrived - and therefore no heating and we couldn't use the cooker. We had to wait 90 minutes. I don't think the microwave was working - none of us could make it work anyway.

Ice in the freezer and free biscuits were a really nice touch

it was a lovely caravan
we wanted a feb half term break with a pool in north devon so searched booking.com with filters on to select an indoor pool - the glade came up as having this facility - I checked and it said the swimming pool had been shut until 11th feb 2021 but now being in 2023 I thought it would be open - the listing had pictures of the pool - we had no reason to think it would not be open - when we arrived the holiday park was closed as was the pool and restaurant - we didn’t find this out until the next morning as we arrived in the late afternoon - when we complained we were told by the host she didn’t know it was closed but we should have checked - I said the reason we selected the property was due to the pool - she messaged back at 12.30 while we were out trying to find another public pool to go to saying if you get out by 2 I will refund you - I didn’t read the message on booking.com until 1.30 - she said we had plenty of time to get out if we wanted to, and I said we could do with a bit more time so we could find another place to stay, but they weren’t really interested, she said if we wanted the refund we needed to be gone by then - we drove back to the caravan and collected our things packed everything up to go to the barnstaple hotel (which had a fantastic heated indoor pool) - when we got the refund it was for only the remaining 2 nights rather than the 3 - I understand we did stay one night and she would have needed to pay to have it cleaned again but we feel it was falsely advertised in the first place - I have photos of the listing. we also lost a day of our precious holiday messing about changing accommodation under time duress - calling round places to find a swimming pool - the host was rude and short with their replies - it seems that they are more concerned with paying for their own holiday home, rather than providing good customer service of their guests staying in it.

We were provided with lots of tea and coffee and milk and mineral water, and a packet of biscuits, all much needed after an arduous journey. It was a very cold night but it was very comfortable, and the view from our caravan was lovely.
I had asked the host to text me the key number as I can't access emails easily because I do not use a smart phone. Unfortunately she only sent me an email and I had to get help from the site receptionist who was great. The host did return my call shortly after I rang her to say I had arrived and hadnt got the key code, and it was quickly sorted out. This isnt a criticism , rather a comment to highlight this glitch in communication.

It would've been nice if some facilities on the park were open and the property had been cleaned properly unfortunately there was tobacco around and inside the floors hadn't been cleaned properly, the shower was also wet and smelt musty. There was dog poo around the property and dirty nappies outside on the park

lovely static caravan, couldn’t fault it and Louise the owner was so very helpful
the park site is very tired and run down, definitely needs a lot of TLC

Lodge was beautiful very spacious and clean. There were TVs in every room the kitchen was big and there were two bathrooms. Very comfortable and warm.
We were expecting to swim as the booking said there was a private pool. We found out that it was a pool for the whole park but owners got to swim at private times. So we went down to swim at the owners private times and were told we needed a pass. Unfortunately we were never given a pass when we booked and so couldn’t go. We originally chose the lodge on the basis that it had a private pool so were quite disappointed on that front.

The location is excellent with a swimming pool, supermarket and the coastal walks right on your doorstep. It has a clear view out to sea from the living room and the property is really well looked after. The owner will text you the code on the day of your arrival which removes the requirement to check in and makes the process of arrival very easy. The place was immaculate, the attention to detail was clear throughout the property and you are made to feel very welcome. There are plenty of parking spaces near to the property. The site is about 20 minutes from Appledore beach and Clovelly which are a well worth a visit. One of the few places I've stayed that I'll book again in the future.
