About this apartment rental
Tucked away on a small loke behind the high street of the pretty village of Foulsham, Telford Cottage is a beautiful hideaway offering the best of everything. Just a two-minute walk from the village pub, one minute walk from the village store, and a 30-minute walk from the farm shop, Telford Cottage really is ideally situated for exploring rural and coastal Norfolk.
Instantly impressive, Telford Cottage welcome guests via a charming lavender adorned walk-up. The well-equipped large country-style kitchen is a great social hub, and the perfect stage for creating a delicious feast made using the area's local produce. Gather together around the circular dining table to plan the day ahead, or share food, wine and conversation long into the evening. French doors open out into the courtyard garden meaning dining al fresco is a must! Guests will feel at home in the cosy sitting room featuring a wood burning stove set in an attractive traditional brick fireplace. Nestle in and relax as warmth and ambient light fills this elegant and calming space. Upstairs, two stylishly designed tranquil bedrooms are presented. The master bedroom hosts a king-size, with the second bedroom offering twin beds. Thoughtfully accessorised, these rooms have been dressed with high quality linen, scatter cushions, and wall art, plus both offer excellent storage. A quality fully tiled modern family shower room, with a large walk-in shower, completes this floor. Outside, the open south-facing courtyard garden to the front of the house features a bistro table and makes a delightful spot to while away some time.
Telford Cottage is especially suitable for a couple, and just as welcoming for a small family, or small group of friends to enjoy. Foulsham's popular local pub, The Queen's Head, serves some of the best fish and chips in the area and comes highly recommended. The handy village shop stocks all the essentials, with Algys Farm Shop a short walk or drive away. Nearby are the picturesque market towns of Holt and Fakenham, where horse racing can be watched at the latter. The magnificent North Norfolk coastline boasting incredible beaches and many pretty coastal villages, is a mere 20-minute drive away. The historic city of Norwich is well worth a visit, and can be reached via a bus that stops regularly in the village. Foulsham is a popular destination for walkers and ramblers due to the many quiet routes that traverse the local area, and keen cyclists will enjoy discovering the beautiful cycle routes.

Summer holiday at Telford Cottage
Not a bad option to explore Norfolk from. The location is what we expected so you need to drive each day. Generally comfortable, our main concern was that the kitchen and contents needed a good clean before we were happy to use them. Maybe that's just us but we've stayed in loads of other cottages and never had to do the same before. The slider rail for the shower head was broken so I had to improvise a quick fix using the draw string out of a bin liner. It worked fine after that. The beds were comfortable and it was really quiet at night time. Thought the description of the property was slightly creative however was overall decent value for money (just).

Family holiday
Telford cottage is a really lovely little cottage. I stayed there with my husband and two children and it was perfect for us. The beds are super comfy!
It’s slightly off the beaten track but we found that it was a great base for which to explore all of Norfolk from. We could get to the coast or into central Norwich in around 30 mins. Would definitely recommend

Marvellous staycation
We love North Norfolk and this was an ideal base to see what we wanted to see from Cromer to Hunstanton.

Great location
The location was perfect as we wanted to explore a large part of the county. The cottage is beautiful, homely and well equipped. The important areas (sinks, toilet, kitchen worktops) were very clean. However, the dust on the heated towel rail in the bathroom was thick, and obviously not been wiped for a long time. I’m not precious about things like this, but with the current Covid situation, you want to know everything has been wiped down between guests. The description of the bathroom is not right. It says shower over bath, but is in fact only a shower, albeit a very nice big one. Just be aware if you are hoping for a nice soak after a day out exploring.
I would happily book the cottage again on future visits to Norfolk, and have great memories of a wonderful trip.
