we didn’t actually stay in the property above, but given a much bigger cottage next door. We had lots of space, the cottage was very old and decorated in keeping with its age. I loved the kitchen, in fact I loved all of it.
I would have liked a few more cooking utensils, a teapot etc. The small items like these in the kitchen were very limited. There was a dishwasher but if the house had a full compliment of seven or eight guests the dishwasher would have had to have been used after every single meal. Also I would have liked to have found a couple of board games etc for guests to use. Almost every cupboard in the house was empty.

Lovely presented cottage, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Good location to the village pubs and cafe, and the bus into Norwich.
We were very happy with the cottage and couldn’t have asked for more.

The location was superb
There was no bottle opener. So we bought one at £3.50 and left it for the property. The toilet seat and toilet itself was lose and the property could really do with a re-painting and general spruce up and a dishwasher would have been nice.

Cottage was as described.
Clean, functional, warm = central heating worked.
Convenient location for village and Norwich
Parking was private, off-road outside the front of the property
I would have preferred a double-bed but knew I was getting single beds in bedroom.

The stay at Wensum Cottage was excellent in many aspects. The owner was really helpful and always straight available for questions. This location is a treasure, and I can just recommend it for those, who enjoy staying in an extraordinary place in the nature with a private and charming atmosphere.
Best regards, Robert
All was fine :)

Location was excellent

Location large garden Netflix large shower
For the wall not to have fallen in nearly injuring my son.
To have not had peeling damp wall paper and rust on the handrail brackets, smelly sofa, carpet trip hazard into lounge.
There was no caffeteirre, no egg cups and no BBQ utensils, burns on carpets and tired decor damaged ceilings and cracks in the walls papered over.

The host left tea and coffee facilities, which was a nice touch. Plenty of pillows, towels, soap provided. Good Wi-Fi connection.
There are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels.
The road is busy during morning and evening rush hour, but with the windows shut it couldn’t be heard inside the house.

Looks beautiful from the outside and outside space is nice with the parking. The Tele, internet and subscriptions were welcome. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower very good. Nice touch with the washing tablet in the washing machine. Excellent location for Norwich and the area with a nearby supermarket.
We felt the pictures didn’t reflect the current state of the cottage, especially with the carpet and soft furnishings, possibly the sofa needs a refresh. A high chair was in the facilities description but there wasn’t one. A few cob webs evident in windows and corners.

A lovely location, nice off road parking area with big garden. efficient and very helpful communication with property management. clean cottage with a nice kitchen.
Trouble with a shower leak which made ceiling downstairs wet, leaving a musty smell. this problem was quickly dealt with but the ceiling was left cracked and stained.

Ideally located for local pubs and takeaways. Lots of parking right outside the property.

Good location near Norwich , Cottage was really cool despite heatwave outside. Beds and lounge furniture very comfortable, large TV much appreciated. Kitchen equipment easy to operate . Garden was pleasant to sit in, good to find found shady areas when sun was really hot, glad we brought or garden chairs. Picnic table just outside the door is a nice idea, we used it a lot.
Stairs a little tricky, very narrow at the bottom. Would have liked a washing up bowl and either hooks or a rail in the bathroom to hang clothes and towels on . Although we managed perfectly well using all the equipment, maybe some written instructions may be helpful for other guests. We brought our own garden chairs so were able to move them around into the shade but maybe other guests would appreciate some being provided.

Great location, convenient for shops and getting into Norwich.
Damaged crockery, broken shower-head slider (held up with a cable-tie- looking nothing like marketing photo), no shower mat, radiator in back bedroom not working, no thermostat valve on lounge radiator (so hot only), bathroom hot tap was loose and could not be used safely (looking nothing like marketing photos), shower water adjuster temperamental often giving out boiling water (dangerous) although thankfully shower-head needed descale which limited the water flow, rips/tears in sofa/cushions, large crack across lounge ceiling by main light which dripped water when shower was used on last evening of our stay - we therefore did not use electricity in that room for remaining time. Raised issues with property management company (Cilerna Properties) who offered to fix problems but we did not want strangers in the cottage whilst we and our belongings were there. However, they have advised Booking.com that we 'refused' this offer - not true. If Cilerna Properties maintained/visited the cottage regularly there would be no faults to repair. Have written to Cilerna but no acknowledgement received.

Greta location quite but easy access to the village centre with pubs and shops
The house was quite cold and took a while to heat up

Clean, quite new, carpets, very good heating, large well appointed kitchen. Large off road parking area. Close to pubs, petrol station and bank Netflix!
Minor repairs needed in bathroom. Outdoor area is unfenced, onto a road and no good for children

In a great location for visiting Norwich. Comfortable and well equipped. We all slept well which is a massive plus. Quaint cottage. Felt like we were in the countryside. We would stay here again. An extremely reasonable price.
It’s an old cottage which is lovely but in need of some tlc. Some of the internal decor was ‘tired’ and needing some attention. Wobbly loo seat/doors not shutting easily
