Amazing Property would recommend to anyone looking for a family, friendly location with access to all the North Shore

Our family of 20 spent an awesome week over Christmas. The property far exceeded our expectations and the host and property manager made our stay extra special. We highly recommend the accommodations and atmosphere.

This property was beautiful. You can’t beat the views from the main house. Just stunning. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working for the duration of our stay, because that was one of the reasons we chose this property. Everything else was perfect!

This house was a huge delight to be in. The views from our morning, noon and evening deck were breathtaking! The ocean had an art gallery beyond belief. It was very comfortable, very accommodating and well thought out. My family had there places here and it was like Home? We had access to every venue we wanted to visit from our area to every side of the island. Amelia, property manager, was welcoming and informative, just like an Auntie, really liked her help. I would stay here again. Thank you, Mahalo💗

We had four families (a total of 21 people) and the house was perfect for our needs! The views were breathtaking. We saw whales from the balcony, and were just minutes away from some of the North Shores most amazing beaches. The house was clean and communication was quick. Attentive hosts, beautiful home, and ideal location made for a house we will definitely rent again when we return to the North Shore.

When we booked this house I asked the property manager for recommendations - surf school, a private chef. I had to ask a second time and was given name of a local surf school. I asked about beach chairs at the house and was told not sure - upon arrival they were there. Because of her message some guests paid to rent chairs through Turo. Apparently the property manager is in Idaho and not on site - she didn’t seem to have a real knowledge of property or the area.
This became obvious when we checked in. We arrived and the house had not been cleaned at all - dirty linens, kitchen, bathrooms. I reached out to property manager by text and email. No response. I called the local property person (my understanding was she was cleaning person) and immediately she asked why we were there. I said because we had a booking. She didn’t know anything about it - said it was through a company not linked to her. She did come up quickly and changed bedding and cleaned “somewhat” while we waited. Some bathrooms were not cleaned at all. The owner provided a refund for lack of cleaning, but honestly no one ever cleaned fully. We were cleaning ourselves the next day.
The house is also advertised as resort - hot tub. The hot tub never worked when we were there and when we asked we were told it hadn’t been working for several bookings.
I reached out to the property manager to talk about the condition of house and finally spoke by phone after several days. She agreed to mid week cleaning. On the day of the agreed upon cleaning I messaged to confirm it was happening. She said “let me check”. It had obviously never been scheduled and at that point - mid morning - I told her to forget it as I couldn’t manage 20 people being out of house without having confirmation prior to.
The house had a sofa which was horribly dirty. We flipped the cushions just so it looked cleaner.
The kitchen sink had stainless steel junctions which were separated and caused a potential danger of a guest cutting himself.
At end of week we lost electricity. The local person never checked on us until we reached out after dark to see if we could get some lights. I was surprised no one checked in after what had been a pretty bad storm locally.
After the booking ended I asked the property manager if I could speak to the owner. He tried to call and then sent a text message apologizing and asking what he could do. I message a list of issues we had encountered and he never responded.

This is a beautiful property and a nice home. The check in instructions were emailed to us a day ahead. Unfortunately they were not correct at all. Luckily the lovely woman who takes care of the property was just pulling out and gave us the proper codes. Landscapers came on Friday evening- not Saturday morning as told to us. We felt fortunate to be able to be there, so it didn’t affect our trip...just a word of caution.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the warm Hawaii sun and the breathtaking views of the ocean. The property is definitely more beautiful in person than what you see in pictures. Our families were so excited to be spending the next 7 nights here! Unfortunately that excitement was short-lived. The entire time we felt uncomfortable, walking on egg shells, worrying if our every move was being watched and monitored because we knew we were being listened in on by the surveillance camera that was installed inside the common area. We were told this was installed a month prior to our arrival and since our departure, this camera has been removed. Our quick fix was throwing a towel over it but at the same time it was still picking up audio, just as the outdoor surveillance cameras were picking up audio. These cameras were not disclosed within the listing or rental agreement prior to my booking. They were only added after our stay. Other notable mentions and opportunities for improvement is that the rooms in the estate can get pretty stuffy and hot due to no centralized A/C. On the plus side, the property manager Mike is great! He’s super friendly, always willing to help, and is in constant communication. I’d love for us to stay at another property he’s managing in the future. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this one. Just a note to everyone thinking of booking this retreat - please be aware of cameras/AV surveillance and protect your privacy! There were no feelings of “Aloha” after enduring this situation at the property and our group was disappointed we couldn’t fully enjoy our stay at this home.

Words and pictures cannot capture the heavenly essence of the property or warmth from this beautiful serene oasis. The first sight of the picturesque view will stop you in your tracks and take your breath away. The endless view of the tranquil ocean leaves us with an imagery of heaven imbedded in our hearts forever. We were lost in a sea of rooms that each had its own theme carefully crafted by the owners, we couldn't help but feel the warmth of their home. The Whale House as it is decorated is with exquisite taste brought so many new and nostalgic memories. We were blessed to have the adjacent house to accommodate our other pastors and wives, which was very cozy and comfortable. The estate offers complete privacy that boasts a "great room" where we mostly hung out and played board games, read, talked story and ate. The avant-garde kitchen opens into the great room was a premium benefit always keeping us together. It is literally steps away from the great room L- shaped sofas that gave us much needed refreshment of quiet after every meal, allowing us to soak in the sublime view of the afternoon sun and the breezy smell of the ocean below us with all of its attractively landscaped trees and a few stragglers, the adorably cute bunnies. We don't know where they came from or whose they are, but we enjoyed watching them daily hop gracefully about before returning to wherever their homes are. Spoiler alert: There is a familiar rustic oversized swing that is one of the best features of the house, where you can daydream, gaze at the scenic ocean and surrounding mountains all around with a feeling that leaves you wanting to build one for your own home.
I want to leave this last imagery and quote by the famous Alexander Pope, which was one of many most blessed moments as we recreated the Last Communion with Jesus, we remembered "the conscious water saw its Creator and blushed" commemorating Jesus' miracle of turning water into wine.
Lastly, a HUGE MAHALO to the best property manager you'll meet Mike, thank you - you have given us an amazing experience and retreat we will never forget. May you and your family be blessed for your excellent and very warm hospitality. You are to be celebrated for your outstanding service!!! We look forward to finding an excuse to return, any excuse.
Much aloha & blessings to you from Roy & Char & all the pastors of Agape Christian Fellowship Oahu

The pictures of this place does not do its justice! Mike made sure communication was a priority and was always attentive to any questions or requests we had. The property itself was perfect! Literally the best view in North Shore. Our group of 19 from all over the world met up to celebrate a dear cousin and friend’s 40th birthday and thanks to Mike and this property this trip will have a special place in our hearts!

THANK YOU, MIKE!! I must say Mike has set an extremely high standard in property managing. This was personally my first time renting and had an amazing, stress free experience. Prior to arriving, Mike was very responsive to every question I had which eased any worries. Upon checkin, my family and I were in awe of how beautiful and spacious the property was. The pictures don’t to it justice. For the duration of our stay Mike was very attentive as well as readily available to aid in any way possible. There was a power line that collapsed outside of the property causing us to be stuck in the house for an extended amount of time. He even offered to bring us food, in case we didn’t have enough on hand. Overall, I must say the property as well as the management exceeded all my expectations! My family and I miss this house so much! Hopeful to return one day!

Amazing View
We stayed with our family in April 2019. This was our 30th Anniversary celebration and also Christmas gifts for the whole family. This was our 3rd time in Oahu but this time was the best. The property is quiet and beautiful. Even from the guest house there is a great view. Mike was great to work with and very conscientious of giving us private time. He also gave us a tour of the main house which was incredible and let us hang out on the main house deck after the guests were gone for the week. Hope to stay in the main house next time. Lot's to do on North Shore. Many beaches, food trucks, shopping. We ended the week at the Polynesian Cultural Center. They had an great Luau and show.

BEST VACATION EVER!
We stayed with our family and had the most amazing time!! The house was perfect and probably one of the best views on the North Shore. The guest house had everything we needed and is surrounded by fruit trees and flowers. (we loved the smell). We saw whales breeching from the deck...truly incredible.

This property is very impressive. View is spectacular, and guest house is lovely.
Our family of five rented the guest house of this magnificent property in Pupukea. The breathtaking view is seen as soon as you pass through the gate. The guest house is situated on a hill just above the main house, and has a stellar (albeit less extensive) view of the ocean below. We were fortunate to be there when the main house was unoccupied, and the property manager Cindy invited us the walk the grounds to appreciate the entire property and it’s views. We counted 8 different kinds of fruit trees, including a lime orchard! We were encouraged to pick and eat some interesting fruits such as Hawaiian grapefruit - delicious! The house was just great. Much bigger than what the pictures show. Large covered lanai came in very handy - we could be outside during the frequent ‘sun showers’ we experienced, and marvel at the resulting rainbows. Night sky also a treat to experience, especially after sunset. The house was immaculately clean, and we especially liked the stone shower in the bathroom just off the kitchen - it was like showering outdoors! Kitchen is large, well equipped and very attractive with interesting green patterned granite-like countertops. Bedrooms felt huge due to cathedral ceilings. 3rd bedroom, though not enclosed, is very useful for children to occupy. We had plenty of space for the 5 of us, and could easily have accommodated 2 more guests. The owner of the property, Sarah, and property manager Cindy were both very responsive to our needs and questions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience renting this house, one that I would highly recommend to others.

Great location! Great property! Great view!
This is the perfect location for a North Shore vacation. Located between Haleiwa and Turtle Bay, Foodland is down the street, and an easy commute to Honolulu to catch your flight. Our family of four (two adults, two children) stayed here in April and the layout of the home was perfect for us. It's a beautiful, clean, updated beach cottage on a great property with stunning views over the Pacific. The kitchen was well equipped, nice linens, and the added bonus was having two full bathrooms. Our girls loved the chickens and roosters running around the property. We got the full Hawaiian experience!
4.7
This is a stunning property!
We had a great stay and it exceeded our expectations. The view is stunning, you can see shark's cove, three tables, and waimea bay. We saw whales from the lanai the first morning, and we saw a nice rainbow the next morning. This is the "guest house" on what I would say is one of the most premier properties on the north shore. It is very nicely decorated and the house and grounds were immaculate. At the bottom of the hill is the grocery store and an entire food truck lot with many great selections. Had a great time snorkeling shark's cove, playing at waimea bay, watching surfers at pipeline, and watching the sunset at sunset beach. The hill is pretty steep so for most people this would not be a very walkable location. You could walk the 0.75 mile down the hill to the shark's cove but I think you'd want to have a vehicle for getting around. There were some roosters (jungle fowl type) that started crowing about 4AM. But we heard those everywhere on the island. This place feels very private compared to other houses and hotels we went to on the island. This place is a gem and would absolutely stay there again.

Pupukea Paradise
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to ring in the New Year! The beautiful property was extremely well maintained and the gate gave me that extra sense of security to help me relax. Upon walking into the home, all I could think was how clean and just perfect everything was. I loved the beachy decorations and the plethora of windows created a sort of open feeling, like I was outside even when I wasn't. We did spend most of our weekend outside anyway on the back porch, enjoying the view. Even without binoculars we could see whales popping up here and there! Incredible!
The beds were very comfortable and despite the lack of built in AC, the little AC units in the room worked just fine!
The large amount of counter space made three people cooking at the same time easy. The cupboards were stocked with pots and pans and everything we needed. We had to buy things like oil and flour, but that wasn't a big deal because Foodland was just down the hill! I could drive down, get what I needed, and drive back in under 15 minutes!
The one and only downside that I can possibly think of is the close proximity to the owners' house. It's not that I felt cramped or like we didn't have any privacy, I was just nervous that we were being too rowdy on the porch late at night.
All in all, the place was absolutely perfect. I really enjoyed starting my days with coffee and a view.
10/10 would do again!

Quiet secluded cottage with nice details and amazing views. Be sure of what you're looking for.
My wife and I stayed with our 1yr old daughter. We were attracted to the quietness, views and the nice baby friendly amenities including a couple of pack 'n plays and booster seats. Really nice and helpful touches.
From our perspective of what we were looking for, here were highlights and drawbacks
+ Christa and Cindy were really nice to work with
+ views are really incredible. Words can't describe.
+ the cottage is decorated very well and kitchen is pretty well stocked. Clean little place!
+ all the things you need for your beach outings are already there - towels, chairs, umbrellas, toys, snorkel gear,
+ Carport is helpful when it's raining
+ very quiet and secluded as well as gated which helps security
+ bananas and papayas all over the property
+ once their main house is ready to rent, it would be amazing for family reunions
+ foodland market and sunset beach are a very close drive
These were some drawbacks for us. Your mileage may vary:
- to get from the bedrooms to kitchen/living area, you had to go outside. Not too big a deal, but at night, keeping the outside life out can be a pain if that bothers you (you are in the country). Geckos getting in, cockroaches, mosquitos, etc. were the norm
- there are portable AC units in 2 bedrooms and 1 in the main living area. The bedroom units do an ok job (with enough time), and it got really warm when we were there. However, the same unit is used for the bigger living area and it's really undersized. It was running all afternoon and we struggled to get the temp below 85 not including humidity.
- nothing is walkable. If you like to walk places, this is not the place for you. We like to walk and run with our daughter's stroller and this was kind of a no-go for us. You will have to drive. A lot.
- no dressers and no luggage racks
- minimal power outlets in the bedrooms. Difficult for those of us in a connected world.
- internet connectivity never worked
The first 3 drawbacks were very significant for us and in retrospect we should have done much better do diligence on finding a place that better met our needs, as our daughter was having a rough time with the heat inside. We ended up checking out early and moving to turtle bay, but again, this is because of us, not through a fault of the homeowner or the house. It's a very nice house and if the heat weren't an issue and there was better walk ability with a stroller, we would have loved it. Just consider what's most important to you.

Better than beach front ! Make every beach on the whole North Shore your beach view
Really at a loss for words for this place. Perfect. I guess that's about all that can be said.
Newly renovated, all new kitchen appliances, beds, linen, laundry machines, showers, toilets, tubs, flooring. E
The yards and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. Really bonded with the pet chickens. Spent some time sun tanning with the geckos on the trampoline.
Owners were away so we were able to use the lanai to watch an amazing sunset, or rain shower, or lightning every evening.
I'll be back again for sure.

Vacationing with friends
This property was absolutely lovely! We rented this house along with two other small families, each of us with young children. The home was equipped with everything we needed and the kids had plenty of space to play. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space and picking mangoes right off the tree! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A wonderful stay with an amazing view
We had a great time in Pupukea. The house is up a steep hill from Pupukea beach and the Foodland, and it's like entering a new world when you go through the gate. The huge lot includes beautiful flora and fauna - highlights included chickens, lots of ripe mango that we ate and even baby pigs at night. The guest house we rented is very comfortable and has a terrific kitchen. Best of all, because we stayed when the owners were away, our helpful managers said we could enjoy the lanai surrounding the main house, which has an amazing view of the ocean and surroundings. We'd give this place ten stars for the view! Very comfortable stay for our two families totaling six people. We hope to be back someday!

Great Stay
Family of five. Location was great - secluded but a short drive to the beach and stores. Fruit trees were great. Enjoyed the company of the chickens. Our hostess was prompt to address the minor issues we had. Layout was a little unconventional but the place was very comfortable.

Very comforting, private hideaway, stunning view, great management. Best wishes to both.
