Me and my three best friends stayed here for my bachelorette weekend trip and it was perfect!

Great place for a get-away for parents & young children. Plenty of place to play and good amenities nearby.

Hillside Haven was the perfect place for us while in town for our family reunion. We were able to walk into town to Gamebird, and newly reopened Shaws. The park is right across the street & creek with a skatepark and tennis courts. The creek was low and great for exploring. The house was so charming and the hot tub was relaxing after a long day of swimming and visiting with family.
The popcorn machine was a huge hit for our nightly Uno games. The house is loaded with all your basic kitchen needs. Something that was SUCH a nice touch to me: there was enough toilet paper, paper towels, dish & laundry detergent, cleaning product, ziplocs, aluminum foil, cling wrap, coffee filters, K-cups, body wash, shampoo & conditioner in all the showers. I've spent far more on stays and never been provided with half as much. It was apparent the owners are experienced travelers because those are the littlest things that are so convenient and appreciated. Highly recommend and will surely return.

Hillside Haven checked off all the boxes...
Ideal Location. Modern Amenities that didn't detract from the quaint ski cottage appeal. Super cozy. Popcorn Machine !?!
Hot Tub was the icing on the snow bunny cake.
Wonderful time for kids and parents alike.
Making plans to book for next year.

For the second year, my family of 10 and one dog, returned to our favorite Christmas retreat at Hillside Haven. The older, but well maintained farmhouse, offers an ambience that one just doesn't experience in a modern dwelling. We love how the house seems to ramble from one end to the other with two staircases for easy access to the four bedrooms upstairs as well as the cozy kitchen and living room downstairs. The living room had enough seating for all of us to watch cheesy Hallmark movies when not out skiing at Okemo or in the hot tub. Okemo's entrance is five minutes away and its proximity made it easy to drop off and pick up skiers rather than park there. The hot tub is one of the highlights of everyone's stay. The owner, David, leaves clear instructions on how to use it and there are plenty of towels in the mudroom/laundry room. The washer-dryer is a must with kids and is highly efficient. Overall, the house is well stocked and if anything is needed, or if you have questions, the owner is but a phone call away. We found the beds to be comfortable and there were plenty of blankets available. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances that you may need such as a waffle iron or crock pot.
Ludlow is a cute town full of little shops and restaurants and an easy walk from the house. We have already booked our next Christmas memory for 2024 At Hillside Haven.

We stayed at Hillside Haven with our family and one other (4 adults, 5 kids ages 8-11). The house fit our group perfectly, including a small dining table for the adults in the kitchen while the kids enjoyed the main dining area. House was very convenient to Okemo Clock Tower, Jackson Gore and Ludlow town. Despite it being a very old house, everything in the house worked great and the kitchen was well stocked. Host was very helpful and responsive, too. The only thing I would caution about is that it is right on VT Rte 100, so if you're in a front bedroom, you'll hear every car/truck/plow that goes by at night. With that said, it was 2 mins from just about everything you would ever need, so just depends on what experience you're looking for. Would definitely stay here again.

My family very much enjoyed this house for our annual ski vacation. It was large enough to comfortably fit all of us, and the proximity to downtown Ludlow and Okemo was perfect. There was one issue that the property manager was very quick to respond to, and it was resolved.

Our family of 10 recently enjoyed a terrific stay, despite the weather, at Hillside Haven. The Victorian home had all the charm of an old farmhouse with the comfortable upgrading of the beds, kitchen, bathrooms and technology. We found the house, complete with an outside hot tub, to be perfect for our extended family. David, our host, was but a phone call or text away for an immediate answer to any question. We definitely plan to return.

We loved it! Dave was an excellent host. The property had plenty of amenities and they even made sure to provide us with extra towels and lots of sweet treats! The home is conveniently located close to Killington, Rutland, Woodstock, Buttermilk Falls, and Jenne Farm. I’d love to come back someday! Bonus points for the awesome hot tub.

Plenty of space, very clean, and a great location that's both close to town and the mountain. Old house with a lot of charm - great for a ski weekend.

Exactly what we needed!
We booked Hillside Haven for 4 couples, 2 dogs, and an infant and it was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped for a rental home, the house was very clean - enough for a 9 month old to be crawling around everywhere, and the location can’t be beat. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again.

Good, not perfect
The house was bigger and nicer inside than you'd guess from the street. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Nice combination of old/sturdy/charming and up-to-date. We used the hot tub three times. (Was too hot the first time.) Kitchen suitable for making real meals. Dave, the property manager, was accommodating, although he was in New Jersey. A housekeeper was close by.
Annoyances: The first night a smoke alarm behind a locked door kept beeping, keeping the people in one bedroom awake. The housekeeper came to fix it but fixed the wrong smoke alarm so she had to come back.
Also, the dumpster in the driveway was full and stinky, which made the backyard somewhat unpleasant.

Great property
The house is spacious and was clean, comfy and very well maintained. Upon arrival the outside looked a little worn, but the interior makes up for that first impression. It is a very well removed Victorian home. As off resort locations go, this one is a winner! A very Short 4 minute drive to Okemo clocktower drop off and main a/b parking lots. Even shorter drive to groceries, restaurants, and ski shops. Owner/manager was very responsive. The only disappointment was the outdoor fire pit was covered in about 2-3 feet of snow and the wood wood was also covered in snow as well. Only recommendation would be to have a small cord stored behind the outdoor grill on the front porch to keep some wood easily accessible and dry.

Great stay and location
Very charming and comfortable home. Kitchen is well equipped and hot tub was delightful. Beds were super comfortable and we appreciated the nice linens and towels. It was a great choice and the quick drive to Okemo was very convenient. Thank you!

Quaint, well-appointed ski house!
We had the best week in Ludlow, VT, at this super cute, well-appointed ski house. The owner, David, was over-the-top responsive and helpful. The house was exactly as described, but even more comfortable than anticipated. Each bed even had comfy pillow toppers- a good night sleep is everything!! The location was great, literally a two minute drive to Okemo, and a great location to explore Southern VT.
