PROS: location is close to Broad Street shopping and dining. Reservation information and check-in process was easy. House had needed supplies. AC worked great. CONS: The only shower was a vintage style bathtub that required stepping over the side - not safe for older folks or those with mobility issues. The front door did not feel safe - several glass panels could easily be punched out to access the inside deadbolt and the flimsy curtain on the glass did not provide any privacy. Old floor vents were still in place and in one of the bedrooms we could actually see sunlight and through to the dirt ground outside. Furniture and finishes are a hodgepodge of thrift store finds and rough around the edges. Inside and outside needs a deep cleaning and is not consistent with the photos shown online. Overall, an adequate stay - everything worked and communication was fine - but cleanliness and safety concerns would prevent us from booking this location again.

Great location! Walking distance to downtown- We love history and this wonderful town has great places to visit: museums - pebble hill plantation- Lapham Patterson house just to name a few. Thomasville also has phenomenal restaurants!!!
Every morning we had coffee on the front porch with all the birds-and squirrels - so very peaceful! We are spoiled with our sleep number bed- however, we stayed for a week and got used to the beds and this sweet home is in a fabulous location to everything. We came for a wedding and stayed for the Rose Festival.

The cottage is decorated in an interesting mix of time periods with so many vintage finds. I kept finding new items each time I passed through a room! The kitchen was well appointed and updated. The soaking tub in the main bathroom, a dream! Downtown was in doable walking distance even for this older couple! We enjoyed the many shops, restaurants and wine bar. The beautiful large oak only a couple of blocks away. We enjoyed the man

The property and the owner exceeded expectations and could not have been better. The communication disaster was with Evolve- who handles many rental properties. They never answered my questions before heading to Georgia from Arízona clarify information- only a survey of how well they did. The owner stepped in and resolved the issues we had on checking in. i finally had to reach out to a VRBO itself to get resolution.
The property is wonderful! everything i needed to have to meet up with my family who has just moved to Thomasville area!!
can't say enough positives and highly recommend this home, location, including comfortable beds!! 5 stars to the owner and the Monroe Cottage and 0 to Evolve as property managers!

Let me start by saying that this property has the potential to be quite nice. The kitchen and bath set up was quite lovely, as is the living area, but there were definitely some issues. Most of my issues with the property have been discussed with the property owner, Pam. The major issues were: 1) wobbly tub not properly secured to the floor, which is a safety hazard. I couldn’t even turn around in the tub without it wobbling precariously. 2) shower curtain rod which was not secured properly, and which fell and nearly hit me in the head. 3) big dog on the other side of the fence who growled and snarled at my dog until we went inside - according to the owner, he’s actually friendly, but there was no warning regarding the big pup on the other side of a small fence. 4) the chain on the back door was not engaged when I arrived, and the back door thumb latch was unlocked. Security hazard. I ended up spending one night at the property and then going back to my parents apartment. As I said above, I have spoken to the property’s owner, and she made notes of the concerns I had. If these issues above are fixed, the property would be fine.

Cute home. Near the Old Oak. For small parties, as there is only 1 shower.
