Cle Elum is just a short drive away and includes incredible hiking trails to embark on with one another, as well as dining and shopping options such as the antique mall, Black Sheep Homegoods, Cavallini + Co, and Basecamp Outfitters. On the subject of hiking, Gold Creek Pond features a scenic trail that even the youngest members of the group can enjoy, while Red Top Lookout offers a similar experience. great layout and the AC was welcome during a heat wave. there is not access to lavender lake from the house, but it’s a fairly short walk down the road. could use some fresh linens and definitely bring your own drinking water!

This was a beautiful home nestled in a quiet mountain community. We enjoyed the spacious living area and the quiet peace of the woods. The kids liked the board games, had a blast when we took them out on the kayaks, and the bunk beds and trundle were perfect. There’s a nice well-stocked kitchen and the grill worked fine. The kitchen table’s been repaired so it’s not as sturdy, but functional. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. Lots of extra bedding and towels.
We’re used to mountain water, which this definitely is - safe enough but heavily mineralized. We appreciated the water filter.
Thanks for a great weekend!

Nice house in a quiet community. The kids had a blast with the kayaks and going on walks in the woods! Fully stocked kitchen and lots of bedding and towels. The well water is heavily mineralized (normal in these mountains) so the filter came in handy for coffee and drinking.

Great location, saw otters and an eagle in the morning!

The seclusion, the size of the house and all the rooms, the well stocked kitchen, the outdoor space.

I don’t know where to start except for stating I believe all the good reviews must be coming from employees of Vacasa. I have been for 10 years now and never had an experience like I had at this house! And saying that I will never rent from Vacasa again.

Where to start. We stayed at lavender lodge for 2 nights. We were in the area for a funeral, and decided to have a cousin getaway.
As you walk in, the doorway is covered in spiders and webs. I would understand around the house, but having to sweep off 1000s of webs to enter the house.
The bedding, especially the comforters and UNDER the sheets were covered in human and dog hair.
The dining room table was held together with duct tape, which made it difficult to not worry while playing a game, or having a meal with family at the table.
The cob webs covered the ceiling, filled with dead bugs. Also, above the stove was covered with dead incects.
The ceiling fan was caked with dust. We did not want to use it.
The amenities in the kitchen especially were absolutely disgusting. The sugar container had some kind of black group dripping on the inside. Every utensil was dirty in the drawers.
Basic things like salt were not available. And the things that were had an expiration date from 2014. We had to wash every dish before use.
There was an air freshener in the kitchen covered in brown substance, and expired in 2018.
This was supposed to be a dog friendly house, it was extremely uneasy to find thumb tacks all over the back yard. Very disturbing for taking your pet out to use the bathroom.
The house is on well water, and was warned before hand. But it was worse than explained in the listing.
The sulfur smell was torturous. If someone attempted to hold their breath to take a shower, it made the entire house smell like rotting eggs.
It also stained everything it touched brown. Toilets, shower, linen. I was uncomfortable washing my babies bottles. And yet, they said it's safe to drink? If it turns your sheets brown, I don't want to know what it does to your organs.
All and all I am very disappointed paying what we did for the cleanliness, and the down played warning about the water. We would never stay here again. And I suggest if you want clean sheets to sleep in, you shouldn't either.

This home is wonderful - beautiful property tucked back in the woods, lake view and a quick ride to Cle Elum and Ellensburg.
However, the management company leaves much to be desired. We found Vacasa unresponsive and unhelpful. I would give them zero stars is possible. Messages went unanswered, some were cut & paste responses and others were nonsensical (could have been some kind of cheap AI software).
The property is great - I recommend it if you want a cool place close to Cle Elum. However, for the money involved, the management company does not provide an acceptable level of service. So don’t expect any kind of supper from them. I really hope the owners find a different company to take care of their great house.
Also - we had a scary run-in with the neighbors Rottweiler so use caution if you’re exploring outside.

Loved the location and the house was very nice. The house was very well stocked.

The lavender lodge might be better thought of as a cabin in a peaceful setting. There is public access to the small lake a short drive or a long walk across the water from the house. We drove the provided kayaks to the public access area as you can’t get them in at the house there is too much vegetation. We had a nice afternoon outing on the water. The house is well stocked and comfy, but felt it could use a few simple upgrades to improve the stay like new bathroom towels, new shower liner and a new bbq grate as theirs was rusty. We used aluminum foil over bbq grate to make it work. They have a nice size property so you feel like you’re quite private and our kids had fun playing outside. They have many chairs to lounge outside in the peaceful setting. We brought our own water to drink as recommended and were glad we did. Some of us smelled the sulfur in the well water more than others. The WiFi worked well. Vacasa was responsive with questions/concerns.

This trip was the second time we’ve stayed at this house. The house is clean, well stocked and has a great layout. We especially enjoy having access to the kayaks. Both my grandkids did their first solo spins around Lavender Lake.

My husband and our dog just stayed here. It was advertised as lakefront but you can't access lake from the property. To use the kyacks you have to transport them down the road in your own vehicle and put in far from the house; weird! I found the towels stained, toilets and sinks filled with brown rust stains. Water was not drinkable due to hard metallic taste. Kinda sad get away experience for us. Won't be back.

The house was nice and it was clean. It is not a lakefront home. You cannot walk to the lake from the property since the property in front is has no trespassing signs. Also the propane tanks to the grill and fire pit were empty.

MOST IMPORTANT - is to note the water is extremely sulphuric, and if you are at all sensitive, you won't want to shower, or even wash your face due to the bad egg smell. Also there are stains on towels and sheets from the orange water smell. We did bring our own drinking water. There is no lake access from the property, very marshy, and a neighbor came by, he has been trying to get a hold of the owners several times, due to property lines, and proceeded to hang no trespassing signs in the backyard. If owners read this, please get in touch with him. We did have trash from the prior tenants in the garage. The coffee table is about to fall apart, and the dining table is duct taped together. Ants are a problem, recommend ant traps, we did not leave food out, but they even love the water. When outside you will hear the I90. The beds were comfortable, and the house has an open living area which is nice for family time. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking & baking. There is a nice firepit outside, but we did not use it, and the bbq was not in use. Hope this helps!

We enjoyed our time! Great house for couples as it has 3 adult beds. Great location to Leavenworth for the non outdoor people! Great family room for socializing!

Really nice set up, and nicely stocked with the essentials, however who ever is cleaning and stocking supplies did not do a very good job. The refrigerator had mold in it, the pantry had hair balls in it, the patio and BBQ were filthy, the propane was out, ran out of garbage bags, and no laundry detergent to wash our towels. No one told us the sprinklers were set on a timer our black truck ended up with hard water spots. I tried to call customer service for a week to update our reservation and only got through on the “are you traveling in the next 48 hours” option which was a good thing because we had no check in information. I called about the propane they said they would send someone out to refill that did not happen. After checkout we thought we had left some things so called customer service (after waiting for over 20 minutes someone answered and transferred me to someone else and was disconnected, had to call back wait for over 30 minutes so he could set up the return fee and charge my account $27 and said someone would be in contact with me that was June 20th it is now July 1st and nothing. VACASA LLC is the absolute worst property management company I have worked with, and really feel sorry for the family that is entrusting this property with them, it could be really nice overall.

Great getaway
Really enjoyed our stay here. Overall great house, clean, and very comfortable. The house layout was perfect for us, and we loved the large central area of the house. Our 2-year old loved running around and getting out some energy. Nice location tucked back in the woods, and we had no problem driving in despite all the lingering snow/ice. Relatively close to the freeway/train, but it didn't bother us at all.
We brought a couple gallons of water for drinking per the recommendations, which we were glad to have done.
The things keeping the house from getting 5 stars? Towels were stained (clean, but felt kind of gross), bedrooms could have used a dresser/chair/hooks on the wall (maybe that's to come), and the entrance to the house was super icy and difficult to navigate with a toddler and bags. Some salt to treat the entrance would have gone a long ways. And the 10am checkout seems quite early considering how much you are paying to stay here.

I love that the property was tucked away out of sight around the backside of the lake, but very close to the freeway as well. The property is centralized between Snoqualmie Summit for snowboarding and Roslyn for Snomobiling activities! The neighborhood was like a winter wonderland. It snowed every day that we were there and somebody from the neighborhood plowed it every day. The house was very spacious with more than enough room for our family of five and a dog. There was ample supply of firewood provided for the fireplace that heats the whole house. Fantastic to sit in front of the fireplace sipping on hot chocolate after a day playing in the snow. Overall fantastic accommodations and will definitely rent from here again.

Girls weekend getaway
We enjoyed our time in this lovely and private home. The rooms were spacious, beds and furniture cozy and comfortable. We loved the big dining room table and enjoyed playing the WSU/Cougar game we found. ( Go Cougs!) We forgot foil to cover our baking pasta dinner with and didn’t find any in the cupboard or drawers so we’re thankful Cle Elum was only 13 minutes away. We appreciated the note about the Sulphur in the water (safe but smelly) and brought our own drinking water. Suggestions for the owners/managers would be:
1. To have a later checkout (10:00am checkout felt way too early) or offer late check out option.
2. Change out the towels…they looked well worn /stained and my washcloth had a whole in it…And leave a note that they can be found in the dryer, we had to search while.
3. Provide a list if closing instruction…other VRBO’s we’ve stayed at have had a short letter of welcome and a description of closing up procedures (especially around dishes and towels). We didn’t know if we we’re supposed to start the dishwasher when we left or not.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
This was a great location as we had people coming from all over the state m.

Rich and I absolutely loved what the new owners did on the remodel. The beds; yes please! As always the view is magnificent and being surrounded by all the beautiful trees is a plus. The house was nice and clean and fresh.

Nice location for cross country and downhill skiing
The fireplace and carefully curated wood supply are top notch. Kept the whole house warm. Location easy to find and close to cross country and downhill skiing. View beautiful of the lake. Water was funky smelling but we were warned and brought our own to drink so it did not detract at all. Cozy. Clean. Really enjoyed our time here. We are a Uw family so we did also enjoy the cougs rivalry in the WiFi pass.

Old, tired and filthy. For $500+ a night. Do not rent!
Filthy kitchen, rotten egg smell in the water. Only overhead lighting. No side tables in bedrooms.
Worn furniture. Threadbare sheets with stains. The carpet smelled. Dust everywhere.
A new half sponge and tiny bottle of dish soap does not constitute Covid 19 protocols. The refrigerator and dishwasher handles were gritty and had grime on the front of the doors. I took pictures to show VACASA this house does not elicit the standards they advertise.
Definitely not a lodge.
