You can definitely tell this is a high volume rental. There are beds everywhere. However, there doesn't seem to be enough seating (living room), nor kitchen appliances to accommodate the amount of people this rental can sleep. I'd suggest adding a second refrigerator, bigger oven/stove. More comfortable seating outside on the deck would be greatly appreciated. the kitchen seemed to be very disorganized, but I guess that's to be expected. I thought the house was overall dingy compared to pictures. The flooring is overall awful, and half of the bathrooms need some work, in regards to stains and caulking. we had a nice time, but the physical attributes of the house definitely need some work.

Property was tired. Neighbors on right side gave a very unfriendly impression. Many warning signs. Neighbors on left were very nice. My family consisted of oldest 87 youngest 58. Not a very wild bunch.
How I define tired - carpet was taped at top of stairs because it was frayed -poor taping job btw
kitchen wood floor was splintering, deck wood needs repair, shower doors didn't close completely, a bit of shower mold in the corners, molding, flooring had gaps -poor finish job (not new work) .

2nd time staying at Big Kahuna. We love the outdoor spaces, but house needs some serious love. Plank flooring has huge gaps making them stumbling spots. Master shower pan has been poorly patched making it uneven. Water takes 5-10 minutes to heat up and then is only warm. The house has so much potential as it is big enough to accommodate 20 guests comfortably. Wonderful memories have been made, but should we return we will look into other properties.

Overall everything was great, I would recommend staying.

Loved this beach house!! We will be renting it again!! Bring your own games. I didn’t see any there.

12 of us came down for a one night stay before our cruise. The neighborhood is so peaceful. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. We wish we had been able to stay more days!

Fishing was good , access to beach was not crowded ,overall excellent experience !!

The house and trip was great there was a few
Things like the house smelled horrible when I arrived I had to go buy febreeze to make it better and the couches were horrible I sat down and it hurt my bitt because that couch was broken and the bunk beds were horrible felt like there was wooden planks throughput them.
4.7
The property location is nice but the house needs some
couple maintenance. The door knob is broken, some
nails exposed on top floor, kitchen floor has some opening, ants and spiders found on bed, some of the bunk bed smelled bad. Need better cleaning. The listing pictures are not same as reality. The property manager is very responsive. Regardless all the issues, we had a great time and just wished the property is in better shape.

The home had a great floor plan, but was in need of repairs. The overall dingy and tattered state didn’t set the vacation off on the right foot.

The images vs how the property truly is in person is completely deceiving. Upon arrival, as we tried opening the door, the whole door knob to the main door fell off, this was already a sign to a bad start. A broken door knob to the main entrance can’t possibly be something overlooked as this is the main door to the 2nd floor patio. The property was dirty with stains against the kitchen walls, this property looks like it may have been damaged by previous renters and the owners of the property never fixed the issues. I walked the property, it looked like the place was currently being renovated. There were multiple holes in the wall by the toilet and shower, crown molding pulled off of the wall and just laying by the shower. The shower in the room with a single king and double bunk would not turn more than 1/4th the way which made the shower only have cold water. The shower for the room with multiple bunks and 2 queens had water collecting at the bottom while showering. The very top of the stairway has a broken plank piece where the carpet and flooring met and left an unsafe walking area for small children as the wood and nail was exposed. I had to contact the property at 4pm (check in time) since code for check in was ever sent to me. I was told to send a text to a number provided of any issues I encounter. I never received a response from management. The main door remained broken the whole time we were there and I never had anyone reach out to me to come fix anything.

Had a short friends trip here and we had a blast! Hope to come back in the future!

My family and I loved this place! It's in a peaceful neighborhood and right on the water! Something I really loved was how much natural light came into the home from the large windows in the common areas! It's big enough for families or groups of friends and has everything you need, including a fully equipped kitchen and cozy living areas. The deck outside was great for hanging out and enjoying the beautiful views. You could also go fishing or kayaking, or just chill by the water. It was a fantastic place to stay and we will be back for a longer stay in the future!

We had the best time. It was very nice place and a quiet neighborhood! We went to the beach access across the way and it was the perfect quiet location! The house itself was great. The rooms were perfect for our families. We each brought 1-3 kids! Definitely would stay again!
4.7
We have a wonderful time, this was a great location! The house had more than enough room for all of us and the beds were comfortable. There is some updating needed for the flooring and there were some things that needed a little better cleaning, but overall there were no major issues. We would recommend this rental for anyone looking to have a great weekend with friends and family.

Great property and great location.

There were aints in the kitchen and spider's in beds down stairs. The front entrance door handles were loose and so were a few of the other door handles. Aside from that we had an amazing stay. Thank you

Enjoyed the spacious home with ensuites in every bedroom. Home was a bit beat-up from being a rental, but it didn't detract from our stay. Host was amazing about staying in touch and sharing valuable info!

This is a grand house that accommodated our large group. The house is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, the restrooms had plenty of towels and starter toiletries. The location is perfect for fishing right off the canal. The beach was a 3 minute drive. I would rent here again. Check in was super easy and we had great communication with owner throughout our stay.

This was a great property vacation rental, from the time we got there the owner communicated with us from beginning to end the property was very clean & the house and rooms are very spacious my only suggestion would be for the dryer to get hotter other than that I would definitely stay at this property again!

The Beach Box Rep was very much a joy to deal with and was on top of his job
The home needs some maintainence done as the dish washer was not fastened to the countertop and was difficult to use as it felt as though it was falling out of location , there is no frying pan in kitchen and we had to purchase one ,
The master door knob was loose but luckly we had a screwdriver with us to fix this
The elevator is out of service and loading everyones belongings up and down the stairs , 2 flights for some , was a chore
Note : There are no tvs in any of the upstairs bedrooms , this was not an issue for our group but it may be for others
The Roku TVs are a nice feature but turn themselfs off and it is a bit of a issue returning to local channels , maybe we just dont know how to do this , but having a local antenna option would be a good addition to roku tv for local news
If the cabnets and drawers were labled for what is in them it would help with locating items
Over all it was a very good place to stay and for large groups we would recomend this rental

We had a great time at this rental. The house was spacious/clean and has a lot of beds, more than enough for our group of 22 people. It would be nice if there was an underwater light for fishing.

The property itself has a great layout, was clean when we checked in, and is in a great location right on the canal. We have a huge extended family and even with 20 people, there was sufficient room for everyone to have their own space and prevent any drama. Despite all this, the home is WELL used and upon checking-in found several maintenance issues which were brought up to the management company. Most notably, the canal underwater light shorts out and cannot be used, all showers upstairs leaked around the glass (some considerably more than others), one of the upstairs shower pans was covered in silicone (we think that’s what it was….we ultimately didn’t use that shower due to the shower pan and the amount it leaked), the dryer struggled to dry anything (with enough cycles it did though), and then minor maintenance throughout. The management company stated they would send their guy out to repair everything after we checked out for the weekend but it’s worth mentioning, especially if you have a large group and avid fisherman with you.
4.7
Despite the summer heat, this placed offered plenty of shade and relaxing spots to chill out and spend time with family and friends. The beach less than 5 minutes by car or fishing from your own deck on the canal, everyone could have the space and activity they wanted.

We had a great time in this rental. They were having some water leaking issues and some ant problems in one of the bathrooms. The water was leaking on us in the kitchen as we were cooking, and we came home to some wet groceries and clothes in the bathroom due to the leaks in the house. But we are pretty low maintenance and worked around those issues. Management was notified and came within 48 hours. Be aware that the built in beds are small. We had teenagers and could not fit them into the beds, but we brought a blow up mattress and it worked out fine. The kitchen is not stocked for a party of 16, so you will need to bring extra cookie sheets and skillets and Dutch ovens, as we cooked every day and night we were there. The location was great. It was such a short drive to the beach, and the boys walked to the beach several times. The bunk house downstairs is warm, but we put the 12 year olds down there and they loved having their own space and didn't mind the temperature. I am 49 and could not have slept comfortably down there, only because I have to sleep cool. All in all it was a great stay and I would stay there again. Hopefully, if you book the rental they will have the water leaks fixed and maybe a way to cool the lower bunkhouse better. But it was a great time!!!
