Would totally recommend

The hosts are great people, they were really friendly and they made us feel very comfortable. The rooms were great and clean, warm and great value for the money. The property has also a cafe/restaurant and they served us a good breakfast.

A great weekend with a bunch of friends, excellent location and very friendly staff.

We didn't had breakfast, but the location and the staff were amazing!

The only thing that draw down this rating down was the malfunction of central heating.

A nice stay if you're going through Patarlagele

The terrace that everyone has access to was amazing, it makes you feel in the middle of nature. The room was tidy, spacious and the bath was clean and modern.

The beds weren't that comfortable and the toilet in our room had an issue with the flushing (water came out if you weren't careful)

The hosts are great. Generous people with good life stories. The room is very spacious and very clean and the location is awesome, we could visit most of the atractions in the area. Breakfast is also great value.

Below expectations (which weren’t high anyway!)

It was ok for a last minute reservation, for only one night and it was the cheapest one in the region. The room was very big and it might have potential, with a bit of renovation.

I somehow got higher hopes from the description and the reviews. If you set up your expectation to practically sleep in one of the rooms of someone’s village house, probably it’s better. The furniture was so, so, so old, sort of…museum like furniture. It even had the smell of the very, very old furniture. The whole room had this old smell. I remember my grandma (who would have been 99 now) had at some point somehow similar furniture (but a later model compared to this) from when she was very young. I never saw this kind of furniture in any place I travelled and in any room I rented. Even more, it was filled with cloths and other things, probably belonging to the owner of the place. I felt like an intruder in someone’s bedroom. I didn’t see that wonderful garden people were talking about, but it’s true I left in a hurry after I woke up. The toilet paper was the cheapest and the worse of all on the market. So were the towels. I have no idea if they were clean or not, as they were hanging on the bathroom door.

The location is suitable for travelers, the owners are hospitable and very nice.

the owners are very hospitable. The location is great for those traveling in the Buzau area. Breakfast, not included in the room rate, is excellent. Yard and garden around the building.

The location is nice and quiet, in the proximity of the mountains. The accommodation is in an traditional house, newly renovated. The room was comfortable, cosy, with private bathroom, heating and hot water. The host was super helpful, he helped us with the barbeque and also with tips and hints about what to visit in the Buzau area. They also have the option to serve you all the meals at their cafe-restaurant. Bonus: a super cute and smart dog. There are also another 6-7 dogs.

You can't use the kitchen, but you have access to the barbecue and the hosts help you with vessels etc.

Extremly friendly hosts that do everything to make their guest feel comfortable. Good tips for activities around and we also got some fruit from their backyard! 100% recommended!

Awesome and helpful people

Very nice location, great room with an amazing garden. The hosts were spectacular and very helpful. We got great tips what to do in the area. You definitely should try the breakfast, all locally produced and very delicious. We even got some plums from the garden as a gift for the way. We can definitely recommend to stay!

Beautiful garden, cozy rooms, friendly owners and delicious food

A little Pension located in a beautiful green area of less known part of Carpathian mountains is a perfect starting point to discover the surroundings. I completely recommend to try some delicious food which is served in the Dodo restaurant. To reach the rooms you will pass a lovely, blossomy garden full of roses. The rooms are clean and pretty decorated with nice wooden furniture. You can feel a heart that was put in every detail of that place.

Great location in Patarlagele (Buzau county).

I had a great stay in Patarlagele at Pensiunea Dodo. Breakfast was fantastic. The host was helpful and friendly. Room was a clean and warm. A+.
