Grounds beautiful, pool fantastic, bedrooms and beds comfortable, house rustic (as expected), rooms layout downstairs disappointing. (Not enough communal space for a family of nine). Reps communication prompt but disappointing. Because of a disastrous choice of car hire company we needed taxis for nine every day. Rep failed to get us a taxi on our first and last day. We managed every day without any difficulties, indeed on our last day we asked the rep to book a taxi to the station for our flight. She was unable to do this but could get a private transfer for €180.to the airport. We managed to get a 2 taxi’s to the station for €45 plus €3:90 each from Lucca station to the airport. Be aware recycling in Italy is a nightmare. All car hire companies in Lucca is to be avoided, use taxis if you can and phone them yourself. Or at least read the small print if you’re hiring a car. Despite all the above the holiday was great, and the house is well aquipped.

This was a lovely villa with lots of rustic charm. The pool was fantastic and so much space. The views were gorgeous. It is in a great location , just a few minutes drive from Lucca but also in walking distance to restaurants and wine tours.
Unfortunately we had a few issues on arrival such as beds not made up and no hot water but these were rectified very quickly by the Tuscan houses team.
It was disappointing the pizza oven wasn’t working as this was one of the reasons we chose the villa.

We just came back from a week in Villa Aladino and had a great time. The house was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 5 teenagers). It had everything we needed and lovely views from the back windows. The outside spaces were great and everything was super clean. Elisa and her team were really responsive both before our stay for booking information and during our stay with local recommendations. They even left us some coffee, pasta and tinned tomatoes for our late arrival in case we were hungry which was very thoughtful. I had been to Tuscany several times before but never to Lucca which I thought was a beautiful town and somewhere I would like to revisit. It is difficult in Italy to find a large house with a swimming pool that is within easy reach of a town which makes this villa's location a real plus. I would be more than happy to recommend using Tuscan Houses.

We were a group of 3 families with kids and had a great time in Tuscany! The house could probably fit in even more people, there was quite a lot of space on 3 floors. Also appreciated a nice dining place in the garden where all of us could sit together. Children loved the pool which was very clean although the water was surprisingly cold. The hosts are very helpful, we got lots of advise on nearest beaches, shops etc. Thanks a lot Elisa and Simone!

Great environment, close to Lucca but a bit dissapointed
We stayed with 7 people (6 women and one men) in this house. Great garden, and view over the hills. House and beds are fine and Wifi works well.
The bikes at the house are oke but don't except high quility. Tires where flat on arrival. And the key broke when I tried to opened it in the city. They charged me quite a lot of money to collect the bike again, by the gardener who was in the house that moment..
On arrival I was surprised the pool was empty. Would be nice if the owner did tell us up front, this was actually one of the reason why we booked this house. Kitchen is good but don't expect all the kitchen equipment you have at home. I didn't have a blender of anything to make soup and sauce. So I sent a text to the owner to let him know this was not in the house and I was hoping he could maybe bring one. But he didn't seemed to care that much, so we had to improvise a lot and buy some stuf ourselves.
When checking out the owner treated me like a child that needed to be punished. "Asking for a blender and my tone of writing was not good", he said repeatedly. Thats why I left a bit confused and with mixed emotions renting this house.
Overal a fine house, but don't expect luxury.

Lovely, spacious house, well equipped
The house is conveniently situated close to Lucca and road network for exploring but also quiet and relaxing with a great pool. Two good local restaurants within walking distance. Guido was helpful when the electric gates failed and got an electrician out Very quickly. Grill was great and enough bathrooms for our large party - and plenty of room for us all. Couple of minor niggles - would be good to have towels for the pool provided, local maps of the area would be helpful and watch the turning in - it’s tight - if hiring a car smaller is better or be careful. Would be helpful to have a better location map if only because the junction it is off is complicated on the map! But as I say these are minor - the location is great, Lucca a lovely city to visit and other beautiful places close by - we probably did less sightseeing than planned because the villa was comfortable and pool lovely to sit by and there is amazing bird life you can watch from the sun lounger - we saw a lot of buzzards if various types and a hoopoe - take a bird book and relax

A lovely holiday villa - very nice
We were 9 adults and the villa was spacious and modern. 4 bathrooms a God send! The rooms were well equipped and everything you wanted. The weather wasn't too good so consequently the pool was freezing despite it being an excellent pool. I hired a car and so life was a lot easier - COOP LIDL CONAD were 2 miles away. Guido was very helpful and efficient. He supplied a wheelchair for my wife who came with a broken ankle!! Lucca Pisa Florence - the coast all in easy reach. All in all a lovely stay. Thankyou.

A beautiful old house in a perfect location
This lovely old house provided loads of space - we were 7, ten would be fine - and a beautiful pool and garden. It is around 2km from Lucca - ideal for a cycle into town.
Clean, old but well maintained and charming. We would be happy to return

Perfect
We stayed for a week, our whole family and partners. The house is spacious, ideally suited to lots of people and beautifully quiet. A great garden and pool. Best for us was the location - far enough from the city to be very quiet, close enough to cycle in for a meal. Really, no complaints other than one of the (complementary) bicycles not being very good!

Fantastisk flott feriebolig

Perfect Location - great holiday
Just returned from a two week stay at Villa Aladino.
Perfect house for our extended family holiday (8 adults, 3 children aged 9, 5 and 18 months). Clean and well maintained. Highchair and cot also provided by owners.
The pool was brilliant for all, with good shallow area for the younger children (they loved it), with added security of being fenced off. There was also lots of garden space for us to play games. Plenty of loungers and seating areas for sun worshippers and shade-seekers alike.
We had breakfast in the garden every day and several BBQs. Kitchen also well equipped.
The location is perfect, in a countryside setting next to a small river, but only a short drive/bus ride into Lucca. We also used the cycles provided to ride into Lucca and explore the local area. Cycled to Meati one day for lunch at the lovely courtyard restaurant and returned for a family meal one evening (only negative, no highchairs for babies).
Easy access by car or train to Pisa, Florence and Viareggio. Two of our party also drove to Sienna for the Palio Horse Race.
Other lovely days out included a drive to Bagni di Lucca and beyond for beautiful mountain views and to the very pretty seaside village of Tellaro (but get there early as it is very popular and parking difficult).
The owners were very helpful and communication by email was good.
A brilliant holiday was had by all, wished we could have stayed longer.
Top tip - take good insect repellent.

"The house is truly beautiful. We stayed a week in the villa Aladino, with 4 children, a baby and four adults. Everyone had fun.
We enjoyed the big swimming pool, as all the commodities of the house.
Near from Lucca (a charming toscani town), the house is perfectly situated in Toscani.
I highly recommend this house."
