About this apartment rental
Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath 2,600 sq. ft. luxury penthouse condo (Unit 505) in Purgatory Lodge on the Pinnacle Floor offers the ultimate convenience as it is located in the heart of the main Plaza offering convenient access to all of the winter activities at the resort as well as the shops and restaurants. This residence is on the Pinnacle level (5th floor) of the building and offers two story penthouse living. Enjoy your own pool table located in the loft!
Purgatory Lodge contains Durango Mountain Resort's premium amenities including ski lockers, outdoor heated pool with slide, hot tub, workout facility, and family game room adjacent to a private restaurant and bar located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building. Note there is no access to the Pinnacle Lounge on the 5th floor. There are 2 assigned parking spots (tandem) in the heated garage on the 1st floor of the building.

The Lodge's upper floor of the Durango Mountain Club, which includes the private bar and game room, is closed during the off-season when the ski resort isn't open (fall and April and May)
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

We had a great stay. The only issue was there was no paper towels or dish washing soap in the unit. That was quickly rectified when reported. Otherwise, we were pleased with the stay.

Our stay in this penthouse property was very comfortable. The only snag was a malfunctioning refrigerator toward the end of our stay. Communication with the property managers was spotty, but worked out in the end.

What we liked...- Great location on top floor of Purgatory Lodge and great views everywhere you looked.- Well equipped, well maintained and extremely clean.- The upstairs family room is awesome. Pool table, large screen TV and plenty of room to just hang out.What could improve...- Key system. We had to get new keys every day (sometimes multiple times in the same day) because they wouldn't work with the unit's door.- TV in MBR needs to be updated. We could only figure out how to get Apple TV to work and there were no instructions on how to get other channels.- Washer and dryer did not work and fridge didn't cool very well. If we ever visit Purgatory again, unit 505 will be at the top of our list for places to stay!

We loved the condo and location from which to enjoy the Durango area. The condo was very spacious and in beautiful condition. We loved it!

The condo was nice. It was topically clean, but since we had toddlers we had to grab toys out from under furniture and in between cushions. Neither had been cleaned in some time. We found things that weren't even ours. Lol. Other than that, the location was central for the four wheel trails we wanted to explore. The mountain bike trail was awesome as was the other rides at the resort. The pool and jacuzzi was wonderful after long days of play. One thing that surprised us was there was not many eating options and the ones available opened late and closed early. Also there was not any information about things to do close, places that delivered food, how to work remotes, what was inclusive, like the other VRBOs we have stayed at. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, comfy beds and plenty of space.

Summer Vacation
My family and I stay at Purgatory Lodge every summer. This was the first time we’ve rented a unit outside of the lodge itself. This penthouse unit exceeded our expectations. Spacious, clean, fun for the whole family and in the best location the mountain had to offer.

Great place!
We've stayed at several condos at Purgatory and none compared to this one. It is so convenient and was awesome for those of us that skied as well as those who didn't. Will definitely be back!

The condo was perfect for our family! It allowed our kids to ski and come in and let the other parent stay with the babies. Beautiful view of the mountain, and steps from the ski lift!!

Perfect location for the whole family!
The place was great! Everyone enjoyed the stay and there was plenty of space for the 2 family's. Being so close to all the resort amenities was amazing when dealing with the Littles. The only down side was no coffee pot in the condo, only a keurig. Will definitely book again in the future.
